wozzek23, Nice post!  Smiley except maybe this part...
The shit (silence) going on with the video many of us forked some money for to be made is currently my biggest beef with the non-tech portion of the project; after the same people had buried the best brand ever, they are not making any visible progress with the video project. ("It is not Ben Hur, damn it, it's just a simple video")

It would be great if you can help with https://dashtalk.org/threads/looking-for-writers.5532/ - your texts are powerful...

Regarding video - I hope we will see result finally, but instead of depressing - there is a nice tool: http://goanimate.com (even cloakcoin managed to use them Smiley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLKXdA3KDhA) - everybody can create his own Dash-video and then it'll be possible to collect best ideas to produce Dash's next videos - anyway 1 video is not enough for Dash's ambition plans...

wozzek23, I just want you to know that the guys have been non stop working on the info video for DASH that everyone donated for.  They talk on slack and have the script finished, and I think they all but have the storyboard for animations finished (they're working out the look of one section that the guys weren't quite happy with, a small thing)  So I guess what's next is final approval and seeing the whole thing put together.  We even have the narrator who did a substantial sample voice over for us to hear.  Very nice!  So that really should be coming out soon.

However, what I was talking about is other marketing paid for from the blockchain.  And of course the progress with the code.  I hope to see more marketing financed by the blockchain in the next 3-6 months.  It's time to make ourselves heard.  DASH's technology is very stable now, and we've been quiet too long.  I can see us making big noise in the 3rd quarter Wink

I'm sure we won't please everyone with the video, but I hope most people will be pleased.  It's a simple introduction to DASH and why people should use it, what it stands for.  Not really something that explains the technology, just basically an introduction to DASH that newbies should be able to understand Smiley

In testnet, we've gotten rid of the reference node, it works.  There is some little hiccup with locked inputs, that's probably already fixed, and then we'll be focusing on trying out the proposal, voting and payment via blockchain features. We've already been playing with it, but the programmers want to be sure the foundation is functioning without any hiccups (like the locked inputs that are causing some fees).  Little bugs that found their way in when the developers got rid of the reference node.  Once all that is robust, it's on to testing the above mentioned project payment via blockchain.  It's seriously exciting stuff!

ECB (European Central Bank) maintains emergency funding but doesn't raise it

http://www.theguardian.com/business/live/2015/jun/28/greek-crisis-ecb-emergency-liquidity-referendum-bailout-live#block-558fe9bde4b024248ae9a4c3

Quote

In a statement, the ECB says that it has decided to maintain the ELA ceiling at Friday’s limit (that’s €89bn).

So it hasn’t pulled the plug, but it also hasn’t provided extra funding to cover the funds that have flowed out of Greek banks this weekend.

i wonder how long the ECB will maintain the emergency funding towards Greece and i also wonder how big the bank run will be coming Monday,
time will tell i guess.

Edit : the ECB's emergency funding towards Greece is requested to stay in operation till Sunday 5th of july 2015

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/29/business/greeces-financial-lifeline-is-now-up-to-european-central-bank.html

Quote
The Greek Parliament early Sunday approved Mr. Tsipras’s request for a public referendum on Greece’s debt negotiations, to be held next Sunday. Mr. Tsipras and other Greek officials have asked European officials and Mr. Draghi to keep the central bank assistance in place until the vote.

Heartfelt post.

I remember feeling that way when the '60s thing collapsed into "sordid business as usual".

Then, and ever since, I ask myself "so what?", in the sense of "what follows logically from this?", "what should I do next?".

For me, the answer is usually something like "know what you want", "recognize and discount spin", "ignore the noise", "the bad guys will win some of the rounds", "meddlers gotta meddle", "nothing axiomatic has changed" and so forth.

BTC - beautiful, elegant BTC - is at risk to become Statecoin. Perhaps it will recover, perhaps not. All the players learn and adapt - not just the Good Guys. It is never over.

Deep breaths. "There must be some way out of here." It's either Dash or, um, Dash or, um.... Dash looks good to me, all things considered - ymmv.        Wink

This Professor Karl Whelan of the University College Dublin is suggesting Greek banks most likely won't open on Monday and that the statement “ECB will work closely with the Bank of Greece to maintain financial stability” is probably code for “ECB will help Greece to design a programme of capital controls”.

Bank of Greece, Athens (GR) was one of the banks allowed to print EURO during the "Changeover", move from local currencies to EURO. ("In 1996, the EMI Council decided that all the printing works in the European Union that were producing national banknotes should be involved in making the initial stock of euro banknotes."

Initial production volume of EURO printed, for Greece, was at 4.2%. They still might have these printing machines, so if they are creative...

MN count is also falling; we've lost 85 MNs or 3.19% in the last 12 days?

What's bad? My MNs will get more profit Smiley What's hope on selling? More trades = more coins are distributed in more hands.

I personaly don't understand why MN count fall (only a little).
The reward has never been so high. Lot of my MN received 4.4 DASH for payments.
But as said, if number of MN fall the payment will increase even more (in frequency) and that will bring more MN online  (at leat from me;) ) , but it seam that at the moment we reach an equilibrium at ~2500/2600

Edit :
the number of MN differ from : https://dashninja.pl ( 2610 = 2581 actives + 29 inactives) and from http://178.254.18.153/~pub/Dash/masternode_payments_stats.html (Current Number of Masternodes: 2523 (unique IPs: 2362))

Way I see it, this is a minor market correction from an epic rise in masternode numbers, its only 6% from the ATH,so personnally I don't see what the fuss is about-it is merely small market fluctuations.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a slight sinusoidal oscillation like the 22 hour mining hash rate cycle but spread over 20-30 days, hence there could be a predictable periodic frequency with perhaps +/- 200 masternodes for the amplitude, as this has never been done before noone really knows how the chart trends will hash out.

Current number of active masternodes according several websites :

2589 : https://dashninja.pl/masternodes.html
2530 : crowning site
2385 : http://www.dashnodes.com/index/charts
2520 : debug console wallet

Masternodes active on Testnet : 97

(those masternodes on Testnet will be active on Mainnet again once testing has been concluded for version 0.12 i suspect)
edit : or those server instances could be shutdown at the end of the testing on Testnet on second thought ..

edit : posted a pic about current masternode payments but that turned out to be not as high as i orginally thought so never mind that one
( i confused the gen + fees with the actual masternode payments .. if only, sighh). The masternode paymetns over these last blocks do
seem to be rising though, between 3.5 and 3.9 Dash.

Mmm...dominoes....

It would not be surprising to see a BTC rally in the next few days. It could take off at any moment.

The butterfly effect. Suddenly things are starting to become far less predictable.

The public having a referendum. The public hoovering up all known liquidity and shoving it under their beds. I imagine there must be a few late night pow-wows going on at hedge-fund central command tonight before markets open in the morning.

They'll probably take off on a screaming rally on the basis that things are so bad that massive multiple QE will be on the cards again. (i.e. good news is good news and bad news is also good news  Cheesy  )

it does make sense Greece steering towards a referendum all along in order to form a government of national unity, if only they proposed and implemented the referendum before the deadline of the 30th of june 2015 ... now they pretty much gave the middle finger to everyone.

Yes, this week everyone's gonna be singing:

"Greece is the word
Is the word that you heard
It's got groove it's got meaning
Greece is the time, is the place, is the motion
Greece is the way we are feeling...."

Problem is it's as uncertain what exactly will happen as watching a young driver in a hotted up car showing off to his friends and ending up losing it fishtailing down a narrow road in between parked cars. As you watch you know a disaster is guaranteed and but seconds away; you just don't know how many of the parked cars will be involved and how much damage will be inflicted.
