Dash's first 48 hours were a mess

Clearly the next 12,958 weren't then  Wink

Dash breaking out of its 11-12 trading channel on the biggest volume since early March. The 30-minute chart just about to complete its correction. Higher order charts already green and even the 1-week is approaching closure of its 2.5 month correction which began way back on the th April.

On top of all that, perfect cup and handle formation is pointing at potential 0.02+ levels.

The key is not to rush and to test properly before going to the main net, so I prefer late but stable than on time and buggy  Cheesy. You can follow the testing phase "live" there : https://dashtalk.org/threads/v12-testing-thread.5484/

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

If you took a look at the Bitfinex/Cryptsy orderbooks around .011 before the little breakout, even at the same volume it would have reached .015-.014+ eventually, there were nearly no sells all the way up to .0125 with huge buy support. Also if you look at the volume leading up to the breakout, it was steadily declining until it reached a price SOME people felt was good enough to sell which makes it seem like the coin supply that people are willing to sell is decreasing, eventually the exchanges will run out of coins to an extent which will immediately drive the price up. I think the reason it shot up so fast was possibly due to speculation post LTC-run or just someone/some people taking advantage of the thin sells in the orderbooks.

Then Bitcoin will find it difficulty to be considered a currency.

This is not what was intended.

well, sure you can think the most important thing is to have clean untouched coins. It might be the case for very few situations.

But overall I don't think it's a problem. There are also ways in Bitcoin to avoid being completely naked and traceable

Technically speaking Dash is ofc superior over Bitcoin...

Regarding

Quote
The current goals of development can be summed up pretty simple by saying that, in the short term, we are focusing on making Dash much more accessible to the general public. This includes an Android wallet, iPhone wallet and a very stable version of the reference client.

...given that one of the "core" markets is the privacy market,
....given that the use of DASH without IP obfuscation is not very suitable for a private currency,
.....given that the general public wants easy solutions and if you get too technical in telling them how to set up various anonymity extensions you lost the potential user and you could marginalize the use of DASH

...I think we need to implement a built-in IP obfuscation system that works out of the box from the wallet client.

Darkcoin was about privacy.  Darkcoin is dead.

DASH isn't about privacy.  DASH is about mass marketing.

That is why the phrase "masternode blinding" is conspicuously absent from Dear Leader's HYIP update.

No wonder DASH is down over 10% today.

Excellent update, I am sure there are many things to work on and features that will need to be added but is really nice to see the constant progress.
