According to current trend, the price meet 0.0060 BTC I thought it was headed that way as well, but it's been more robust than I thought in markets. Meanwhile there is car-crash carnage all around us. Look at Ethereum - profit taking is just killing it and leaving the project insolvent. Bitshares has sold the rumour about a month in advance of the news. PowerPC ate its monster buywall while Litecoin decided to indulge in a bit of cliff diving. If you can put in a dignified performance while all that's going on you're not doing too badly. Amazingly, Dash is now actually consolidating its marketcap position despite loosing a bit of value itself.

Evan said on Dashtalk -> "Yes, DAPI will allow network wide 2FA. I doubt it will be ready on the first version though."
I'm glad 2FA is still on the table as we hadn't heard anything about it for a while.
User security will be key in gaining trust.

Imo Dash picks up where Bitcoin left off and addresses the weaknesses that have appeared over time, the reducing node count is addressed by masternodes for example, incentivised nodes that provide second tier services. That allows things like transaction confirmations in seconds with InstantX and fungibility with Darksend and there's lots in the works for future updates, a massive increase in transaction volume for one but the development list for v13 takes things to a whole new level. That's not to say Dash and Bitcoin can't co-exist, Bitcoin is making headway into the legacy financial system and that's essential for crypto as a whole but Dash is more like cash and Bitcoin more like bank or wire transfers. The website's here, the video series in the "About" section is well worth a look: https://www.dashpay.io/Interesting. Thanks for your input I will continue to research DASH.

(once released, I'll invite people to submit their own translations if they want to.) dashman is going global, bitches! hehe Still needs some translations. Will ping you moo later in the afternoon... Yes like moo said, it's partial. Only had a few minutes to play with it yesterday. Will carry on later.

The website's here, the video series in the "About" section is well worth a look: https://www.dashpay.io/Interesting. Thanks for your input I will continue to research DASH. Make sure you do thorough research before you invest anything because you are very very likely to loose. Have a look at how desperatley OTOH and EVAN (Biggest DASH bagholders) have been pumping DASH a few weeks ago. Its comical when a coin dev reiterates that its a great time/price to buy his coin, that he is buying now, etc. It is very evident that they have decided there is no future for DASH and as a last ditch effort they have come up with a whole bunch of additional features they propose to implement in DASH coin and announced it recently at Bitcoin wednesday. You cant be a jack of all trades in this space, stick to something and do that well. Pretty soon they will anounce that DASH will make you coffee in the morning. Very desperate effort to unload their holdings on unsuspecting noobs before they give up on this travesty of a project. These large bagholders are dumping DASH at 10k at a time. Thats 10 masternodes at a time. Dont fall for all the stupid "cheap" coin bullshit which every coins bagholders scream when the price drops. Do your research carefully and ask yourself if their actions make sense in the context that they are projecting. Its too bad so many people wasted effort on side projects around DASH as well as lost money investing in DASH but thats the name of the game. Don't join their ranks.

I was thinking this morning about the differences between Satoshi's work and Evan's. Satoshi built on the work of HashCash and others, while Evan obviously built on the work of Satoshi. Both are brilliant and made (are making) extremely important contributions to the field:
Satoshi had the idea to use blockchains and proof of work to solve the Byzantine General's Problem. This made double-spends (the bane of all prior attempts at digital currency) impossible without the collusion of a majority of miners.
Evan built on this idea but went further, creating a two-tier network. He used this two-tier structure to solve the problem of sharding. Proof of work blockchains are necessarily slow and can only process relatively few transactions per second, because every node on the network has to process every transaction. Sharding solves this inefficiency by using quorums of masternodes to "lock" transactions while they wait to be put into a block. Evan has done it with InstantX, and is now working on making all transactions essentially InstantX by default.

I had invested a bit in ethereum, I currently mining it till it becomes unprofitable to buy other coins. It seemed to be a genius idea with big backing, it's hard to believe it was allowed to fail this badly.
I'll have to check out rootstock.

I don't want to be rude but this is ridiculous question. The question for you. Do you know anybody who know the future?

It is impossible to know. The price will be a consequence of the good work made by the devs, team and community in the past and the months to come. You can find more info here: https://dashtalk.orghttps://dashtalk.org/forums/official-announcements.54

Now that Rango just added the staggered voting after you previously released with Dashman, I see you are trying to one up each other on features. Lol.
Psst....Dashwhale just added an automatic restart feature.
Not really. Were just attacking the same problems from two different sides. (His a service, mine a toolchain.) That voting timestamp association had to go! And, yes, automatic restarting using monit is something I've got on the roadmap. Exactly, moocowmoo! You did some awesome work with the display of the payment queue rank. Dashman is a great tool (for those who don't use Dashwhale of course ) Best, Rango Hmmm... would you look at that! Dashwhale now has a next pay progress bar for each masternode.....Nice. Thanks Rango.

Dash is about the same $ price as it was then. The 2 tier network definitely adds price stability. $230 * .01 = $2.38 $270 * .088 = $2.38

***Full disclosure: I invested in the Ethereum presale and made a profit from it. I no longer hold any ether--I sold the first day because of the aforementioned management issues.
Interesting summary ddink. I invested too but only dumped half. Wish I'd dumped the other half as well now but that would have broken my trading rule I think the Ethereum project will probably survive - even if the current incarnation goes insolvent. They've come quite a long way and it will probably get picked up somehow. One of the reason's I've stuck with Dash in terms of long term technical interest is that it has a small, compact team with highly focused objectives. It's a sharp knife with achievable goals and measurable progress. By contrast, trying to write the OS for all-crypto is probably a greasy flagpole that will only be assailed by multiple parties over a period of time, standing on the shoulders of the early corpses. Meanwhile, the commercial world continues to tool-up with bitcoin interfaces, bitcoin brand and using bitcoin as the reserve measure of value. You could end up with a situation where they create the most beautiful and functional 3D Television of all time for which no channels will ever be transmitted.
