it appears that you still don't understand how cryptocurrencies work Sorry, but your mental model of Bitcoin/Dash/etc. in term of address credits and debits as the fundamental basis of integrity is just flat out wrong. LoL ! You sure don't read over your posts before you send them do you. " A monetary system that isn't based on the mental model of address debits and credits"......there's an interesting concept. I'd keep that quiet if I were you the next time you try to sell bitcoin to any of the 6.99 Billion un bit-banked since I think you'll find their "mental model"'s the same as mine. (You could always do a bit of handwaving about 'redeem scripts' and patronise them for not knowing enough about crypto - that might work )

Then, once you buy a couple of pizza deliveries and thus deanonymize your change outputs and potentially some of your existing unused inputs, you have to start all over again?
|
Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Then, once you buy a couple of pizza deliveries and thus deanonymize your change outputs and potentially some of your existing unused inputs, you have to start all over again? Normally you would get lot of denomination outputs after mixing, so you would just use the required amounts of your 0.1, 1, 10, 100, anonymized DASH, so the change would be no problem. But in some cases you are right, there could be the case that after the mixing you got for example only 1x10 DASH in your wallet, and want to pay a 4 DASH pizza, so then you would have to mix the 6 DASH change, if you are afraid that your DASH are linked to your identity after the pizza purchase. BUT for me it was NEVER a problem, i always got enough denominations from 0.1 to 100 to just use complete denomination outputs and not care about a change address.

Then, once you buy a couple of pizza deliveries and thus deanonymize your change outputs and potentially some of your existing unused inputs, you have to start all over again? The change no longer forms part of the darksend balance, which is still made up of inputs of 0.1, 1, 10 or 100 Dash unrelated to each other, depending on the initial balance and inputs of course. The change therefore can not be used in any darksend transaction performed in the future without mixing it again.

The voting is really great, and I find the Dashwhale system to be really user friendly too. No need to copy&paste commands in a console any more! What all masternode owners need to do now is to pick up on the voting, so that each proposal is the result of a majority of the network. Now everyone please start voting

I have a Masternode hosted on Node40, and I must say, I love the service. I prefer the method of voting like they do it though.
I click the to vote, they generate the voting string, I copy/paste into the QT console, and done.
Full control.
The main thing is that I'm NOT down talking Dashwhale. Just that it's super cool to have different services that better serve different people!

Then, once you buy a couple of pizza deliveries and thus deanonymize your change outputs and potentially some of your existing unused inputs, you have to start all over again? The change doesn't go anywhere but to miners. It is called Dead Change. If you buy your pizza for 9.99 Dash you pay with your 10.0 denomination and the 0.01 change goes to miners but if you don't have any 10.0's (because you used it before) the wallet will use other denoms like 1.0's or 0.1's. That's the whole point that you mix funds prior to use. Mix them today and use it next year.

Mine was a tiny btc amount stuck in pending forever, alt coins still working as far as I'm aware (Dash v slow?) The arbritage is a tell sign, it looks like they have plenty of stocks in the olde alt snack section but the cupboard is bare when it comes to the primary food source (did a rat come in through a hole in the back and eat it all?) There is too much decent competition and can't see them recovering very easily from such negative and extended frell ups.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

I read yours too, enough to recognize that you are completely ignorant (likely willfully) about how cryptocurrencies actually operate. And, no, I do not think that "the unbanked" are going to be trying to add up balances on a blockchain explorer if they end up using crypto (Dash or otherwise). They will look at the screen of their smartphone and see their payment send or receive.

I read yours too, enough to recognize that you are completely ignorant (likely willfully) about how cryptocurrencies actually operate. Whether that's true or not is beside the point since 99% of the population are likeways and it's them who need to be convinced, not me. What is a problem is cryptocurrency promoters who are wilfully ignorant of how monetary systems operate and you appear to be in that category. The issues I've cited with opaque blockchains have nothing to do with the their mechanics and everything to do with their auditability by people "with no idea how cryptocurrencies operate" which is why I suggested you revise your sales pitch. Not being able to inspect the balance movements at each end of a transaction is a non-starter for a public, unbacked medium as far as ever getting near the mainstream goes, end of. You won't find much debate over that 'out there'.

New Budget Proposal Item:
Stipend for Smooth
We are fortunate to have an extremely knowledgeable crypto developer monitoring our thread on an hourly basis. Smooth has spent a good proportion of his free time educating us on the nuances of crypto. Where would we be without his kind words and helpful hints? I know many of us here would still confuse our assholes from holes in the ground. Smooth has stated many times that he is not paid for his contributions, but we feel that the time is right to reward our professor. This new budget proposal would send Smooth 1 DASH per day (30.5 DASH per month) to continue his noble efforts.

"I am here to warn others...*
You guys really do think that don't you....LOL!!! Refer to my previous post "...It's funny as they seems to think that by spewing here that it might effect investment in DASH. LOL. Serious well healed investors don't look for their investment insight on nerd fest (troll infested) boards. And any small fry that they may influence with their nonsense we are way better off without because their obviously to lazy to do real research, imo."
