Ok, this has to be said. Evan straight up killed it tonight. Calm, cool and collected. Had the audience hanging on his every word. I can't WAIT to get my hands on that video for promotion. Great to be a Dash team member tonight!

Great job to Evan, Daniel, and Lebubar.

"Erik Voohees" - did you hear what he just said ?

Out with it...

Basically just categorically identified Dash as the 'privacy' alternative to bitcoin.

Yeah, Erik didn't mention Monero.  He mentioned DASH being a "very good" alternative to Bitcoin if you need good privacy.

hmmm.

2 years ago, Erik Voorhees was one of the most dismissive people you could find regarding altcoins.

Now he sees them as having a role. (Significantly, the only one he actually saw fit to mention by name was Dash, but it's still a favourable development for all alts).

That is the template for the entire economy.

Privacy is extremely important, but for practical uses, to really be usable in day to day transactions for normal people, instantaneous transactions is almost more important, certainly just as important, IMO.  Now with Evolution, extremely "easy to use, hard to lose" makes it the perfect banking solution for everyone.

With the DAPI allowing for simple wallets that "magically" know your account, you don't have to keep any personal information on your device, other than remembering one passphrase to access everything.  None of it will be on your device, it's all in a distributed encrypted database throughout the Masternode network.

Still private
Always instant
Can't lose your wallet.dat
No need to manage security and backup.

One passphrase, on any device, and you have access to everything.

Close the application, it's gone, not on your device, safely tucked away into the MN network.

How much easier can that be?  How much safer?

I have one theory of what is behind some coins price movements, DASH too. My country is devastated right now with cryptolocker 4. As bitcoiner I am called every day now, ppl want bitcoins to pay ( you have to pay in BTC if you want your files to be unlocked ) . To my view, waves of BTC payments  are on time with BTC price spikes ( last month). Also it looks to me that Hackers use DASH and maybe MONERO to hide BTC trails. Call me paranoic but... Maybe somebody knows more about this?

P.S. I just backed all my important files to cold storage what I recommend to all!

Does this get through antiviruses?

Shure, from coder's view it is best yet. Pass all, and enters through some java applets or something. One guy called me for BTCs run company specialised for DATA PROTECTION. He was amazed...pay or forget.
So imagine, they charge 1000$ ( 500$ in some cases ) and multiply that with...eh you might see how many bitcoins are to be bought...

That would make the price go up. If they actually exchanged there BTC for DASH/Monero it would drive up the price. Conversely, if they only use DASH/Monero temporary to launder their BTC the effect would cancel out over time.

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency
Why Monero matters? http://weuse.cash/2016/03/05/bitcoiners-hedge-your-position/

No wallet.dat , are you sure? How would they ensure that the passphrase is as secure as a private key?
