I got 3 master nodes and I need to withdraw the funds urgently, these are hosted by a third party and it is night time where they are. I spent some time looking how to do this, only one mention on dashtalk from 2014 says 'masternode stop' which I tried and does nothing. Very surprised the funds are locked, when originally setting it up I was told to be careful not to withdraw more than the master node account otherwise it will no longer work. Now I find it is locked, when I try to withdraw it says insufficient funds.
How do I unlock it or stop the nodes remotely??
If you hold the private keys, coin control and unlock the 1000 vins for sending. What ? I got my wallet is all, I can remote start the the things and so far all coins come to my wallet that it generates. I have zero access or anything related to the hosts that are running them. How do I stop or disbind or disengage the masternodes so I can with draw some of my funds from my wallet? Are coins in your wallet?

I guess so shows a balance of 3000 coins. I made new addresess and sent them to a new wallet, in order to be hosted and set up for the MN. If I try to transfer that or any amount it says insufficient funds.
masternode start-many command works from my wallet, the hoster asks me to input that whenever there is maintenance or upgrades etc. So for sure my wallet is controlling it all. masternode stop does nothing despite it being the first google search on dashtalk.org.

MN start or stop has nothing to do with withdrawals. You just open that 3 wallets and use them, but first use coin control to unlock ( all 3 )?

MN start or stop has nothing to do with withdrawals. You just open that 3 wallets and use them, but first use coin control to unlock ( all 3 )? You may have to enable coin control in settings. Also I think you use toggle coin control and it will unlock all 1000 inputs and lock all non 1000 inputs.

No need to stop your MN to use the 1000 dash colateral. Just send them the MN will drop off automatically.

Well that is the point. It doesn't do that (anymore?). You got to go into coin control and unlock all the masternodes in order to send. Highly recommend someone write up a short brief on that for this thread and \ or the dashtalk forums. ZERO information other than this fine fella above who pointed me to the video what and how to do it.

I guess I will have to jump in and give this a try to show the Masternode Count vs $/Dash Price. Not too good at chart stuff. But I do see a correlation between the highs and masternode count drops. Looks like it lags a little. Or maybe the correlation is the fall in masternodes that causes the price dip. Those two big drops aren't real movements in the number of masternodes. Both were due to major upgrades, some of which had unstable versions that kept dropping off the network. So the number of coins in locked addresses for masternode collateral never really dropped on those two occasions, it's just that the associated masternodes were dropping off the network, reducing the count. A more likely explanation for the correlation you see is that there was a run-up in price as the market anticipated the new releases. Then the markets faced selling pressure when the releases had stability issues. These are classic examples of "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" cycles. second masternode number drop : dashd upgrade to 0.12.55 version. first : i don't know

You see, this is another problem with this crowd. NOBODY can give a straight-forward answer around here.
"command-line-options" - proper answer to your question
To turn on coin-control
[click] SETTING [click] OPTIONS [click] WALLET [check-mark] Enable coin-control features [click] OK
[click] SEND [click] Inputs... [right-click (the funds you choose to LOCK or UNLOCK)] [click] Lock unspent or [click] Unlock unspent
If you've already completed your task, good for you.
I'll never understand WHY you people can't just give somebody a straight-forward answer, especially for something so DAMN SIMPLE. Pathetic ! Sure, the links are good but ANSWER THE QUESTION !

I would love too...but I don't have these answers. I use Slawek to manage my Masternodes...and he patiently walks me through all this stuff. I'd love to be more helpful here EDIT: Most of the people that do help are on DT. No excuse of course. Its something I've found challenging too when I've needed a hand. But most peeps stay the hell out of here because its full of noobs like me.

Seems like that huge support at 0.006 is there for a reason. Everyone putting their walls higher has a good chance of getting some, I suppose.
