infamous for being the most brainwashed, clueless DashHole around and making the most galactically stupid assertion ever made on this forum... DigitaltrASH, the epitome of "harmful garbage and dysfunctional software" Hey, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Don't you think you'd have at least as much fun learning the guitar solo from Bodhisattva as purusing a 3-year degree in uninformed verbose monotony on the Dash forum ? You wouldn't want to hit 80 thinking this could have been you Here's a starter to get you going.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ0WD8uBWaU

Is it really asking too much that those who are in favor of projects pony up the money to fund them?
Isn't the widely acknowledged best practice to use escrow and have funding tied to development milestones, including actual deliverables?
I know you don't want to hear this, but try to get over your hurt little feelings and recognize that Monero's Forum Funding System (FFS) has been a great success, while avoiding all the problems DASH is now vainly struggling to overcome.
While you guys tear each other up trying to do trivial basic stuff like run a Slack and set up a soda machine, Monero's FFS successfully implemented RingCT, a brilliant new way to ensure fungibility, as well as a very nice GUI and other useful under the hood futureproofing stuff like 0MQ.
Instead of trying to reinvent the governance wheel (which has been amply demonstrated to not be Dash's core competency) why not just go with what's already been proven to work? ...of transaction IDs Do you have anything useful to add to my potentially productive idea? Aren't you going to even try to defend the desirability and efficacy of Dash's project funding/management over Monero's FFS escrow system? Are you satisfied with the lack of deliverables, accountability, and communication from the Lamassu ATM, Mycelium integration, and Legal Research projects? Perhaps I am expecting too much from the person infamous for being the most brainwashed, clueless DashHole around and making the most galactically stupid assertion ever made on this forum. Cryptography has never been a significant part of cryptocurrency - even though it may share the first few letters. It works on a system of digital signatures.
It would seem that you actually do not understand what cryptography is in the modern sense. A failure to understand and respect these considerations has resulted in a lot of harmful garbage and dysfunctional software. LOL, no wonder you are the biggest fan of DigitaltrASH, the epitome of "harmful garbage and dysfunctional software." Do you still assert that "cryptography has never been a significant part of cryptocurrency", tokonormal?

Do you still assert that "cryptography has never been a significant part of cryptocurrency", tokonormal? You only found 1 clanger ? Apparently there are 5848 posts in there. Im sure you can deplete the accuracy rate more than 0.017%. Get digging. (And always remember to quote out of context - you'll have more impact that way ) The "clanger" was that I replaced the word "encryption" with "cryptography". The correct quote would have been "cryptocurrency does not use encryption" (which was actually more supporting of my case than what I posted - so feel free to keep citing it). Here's the original audio so you can rest your weary eyes. To recap: *********************************************************************************************************** • "Encryption is the branch of cryptography that deals with how do you hide data" (what you don't what you want in an unbacked, un-nominated monetary token) • "Signatures is the branch of cryptography that deals with how you authenticate data" (what you do want in an unbacked, un-nominated monetary token) *********************************************************************************************************** I quoted that in the context of a discussion about the merits of burying public addresses - who's anonymity is already protected by a 1-way cryptographic hash - in yet another layer of encryption. The reason I questioned it is that by doing so you're loosing all the advantages that technology was designed to deliver - i.e. a transparent and public network which could engender a massive level of confidence & integrity without any loss of security over the ability to control the address balances. The only financial networks where you need "hiding" in favour of "showing" are legacy assets that predate the invention of transparent cryptographic tokens, i.e. records of credit which are nominated (in terms of a personal or corporate entity) and backed (by a trusted party such as a cryptocurrency exchange for trading balances or a bank for fiat credit balances). On the other hand, where a base asset is concerned that has no owner other than the possessor (like a diamond, lump of coal, gold nugget or bundle of grain) the monetary priorities are reversed. Transparency is paramount or you've got a potentially valueless asset due to the poisonous ambiguity you injected into the system from trying to hide its significant properties. Conclusion: cryptocurrency technologies that try to market themselves as "obscured" are selling hot air. A technology that's 10- a penny, been in use for decades in various forms including SSL and available to you independently of the purchased asset. If something has value, people will find a way to hide it, it doesn't concern them whether it comes "with its own safe". What concerns them is that it has value and the way to increase value in an unbacked asset is to dispel ambiguity, not impose it. Meanwhile, optimising anonymity in the sense of real cash through transparent fungibility is a very different and far more worthwhile pursuit in terms of adding value. Put another way, by remaining both transparent and fungible, Dash protects its holder's privacy while keeping itself out of the blockhchain obfuscation scam.

Buy the rumor, sell the news. Question I have is, is it a rumor when it's impending and launching? Of course, Evolution could still be considered the rumor stage... but not really. I mean, this goes for secrets held close to the vest in stock markets. In Crypto, or any open source project, there really aren't rumors, but there are a lot of promises. Anyway, just thinking out loud, LOL

But lately whenever I sold, could not buy below...

Anyway, just thinking out loud, LOL Yes, more like expectations than rumours here. On that note, there aren't going to be any big new differences. 12.1 is like a rebuilding of everything that has been done before, only re-implemented in a new structure that is the foundation for Evolution. We won't have user names and passwords yet, really, the only difference is that mixing works faster via multi-session (which you can choose in the options-wallet menu) and a really nice feature for Masternode owners; to be able to just click start on your wallet. You can also monitor your MN from any wallet as long as you have the masternode.conf file set up. You cannot start a masternode from just any wallet, but again, you can monitor it to see if it falls off the list, etc... I'm not so sure how useful that is, since we have DashCentral. Still, for those who don't want to use a centralized service, this is perfect Other than that, it's all under the hood. It was a rewrite of everything, pretty much, so this is a HUGE update. The exciting thing though, is that new features will start rolling in more frequently after this spork is completed. So it's not like we'll be waiting for a complete Evolution product at the end of the year, but will get to see improvements as the year goes on. So I'm really excited to see how this will be implemented? And with the hiring of programmers we've been doing, the team has really expedited this work! Remember, originally they estimated Evolution to come out at the end of 2018, now they say alpha will come out some time this summer! Not sure what that means?? Alpha on mainnet or testnet?? We shall see though

It's so freakin hard to figure out when to sell, buy or whatever! For me, the market movements make absolutely no sense! It drives me nuts because each month I have to sell a few to pay bills, and I always end up selling at the latest low, LOL. UGH! I HATE that!!! I wait until the last minute to see if the price will go up a little more, but nooooooooooooo it goes down on me!
