Any posts in this forum criticising the Lightning network get deleted.

Of course, it's a centralized system where BTC hopes banks will run these nodes and integrate BTC into the incumbent system.  By selling out to the banks, they hope to quickly raise the value of Bitcoin and make lots of money.

But it will no longer be decentralized
It will no longer hold sway over rampant government spending
Bitcoin will essentially be dead to Satoshi's dream.

But I don't really care.  Because Bitcoin isn't and will never be the "only one"  We now have currency competition.  You can see why Bitcoin needed to be the only one, because it crossed over the line into corruption.  Without competition, all money will be corrupted.

However WITH competition, all money that wants to stay in the game has to fix itself to compete.  So if the USD survives, then it too will have to compete.  it will need to cap inflation, give better value to the people who continue to use it.  As long as all currencies are able to compete, the best currency will be the most popular.  And since governments can't stop crypto currencies they'll have to deal with this new competition Smiley

I heard a rumor that a big exchange is going add Dash this week. The exchange is big -- a real monster.

How big is it!

You won't get any more info out of me. I'm a tough nut to crack.

When it sits around the house it really sits AROUND the house!

How can dash scale? You know instantx isnt about scaling right? Up to yet noone knows.how dashdrive will work seems lile its not even going to be a bitcoin core type of blockchain design.. whuch will open up a ton of secuirty issues. Its a sell until tech is vetted and matures as it stands dash is not scaling more than any btc core fork out there

First of all, DashDrive has nothing to do with scaling. It's only going to store encrypted account information (user name and passwords and associated account numbers) That's it, no blockchain information.  However it *could* be used as a solution if no other solution is ever found to trim down the size of the blockchain.

Like afbitcoins said, as far as the blockchain is concerned, Dash nodes are incentiveised to run hardware with enough bandwidth, storage, CPU and RAM to serve up the blockchain quickly.

Eventually, the blockchain may indeed get too big and at that point, the best solutions people come up with will be used.  There is segwit, which is only a small fix, and removes a lot of information that might in fact be useful, so I'm not sure if it's the best way to go.  The other is block pruning and there may be others in the future.

Finally, the real way that Dash scales is the fact that we can process any amount of transactions per second while still being 100% decentralized and trustless.  That is through Masternode quorums.  Each MN quorum is limited to how many transactions can reach them IE: how fast the internet can deliver them) and how fast the individual computers can process them.  But what's neat is that these masternode quorums can lock transactions instantly then send the locked transactions to the miners for inclusion into the blockchain.  With many quorums working at the same time, the only limit is the number of Masternodes running.  So if we need more nodes, we simply reduce the collateral and force MNs with 1 node to operate 2 (by reducing the collateral to 500 coins)  This won't be an issue for a very long time though.  Currently, with blocks found every 2.5 minutes on average, we already have 4x the capacity of Bitcoin with a tiny fraction of the transaction numbers.

However, Dash has solutions to infinity, basically, or near as to it as you can get.  Scaling simply not an issue in Dash.
Im not following.. an infinite tps would mean an infinite confirmation time delay. Is dash going for segwit? It should or it may get left behind.

There aren't enough people on the earth to do infinite transactions.  I guess what i was trying to say is it can do as many TPS as will ever be needed.  I don't know if Dash will do segwit  There are many reasons not to.  Plus the fact that we're not in need of any trimming means we'll probably see if a better solution comes around, like block pruning.  But I don't know, I'm not a developer.

By the looks of the tape, it sure looks like MasterSchmucks "team" sold into another hole last night. What's guaranteed is that somebody sold into a hole. What do you think? Was it MasterSchmuck?

It appears his team has tried and failed to manipulate the prices of Dash to acquire it at cheaper prices.

She only had about 120 node's worth to play with by her own admission.

That amount gets bought & sold every 4 hours or so.

No joke.
There is video where he says that he has 265K DASH and he is giving 4/5 of it to team/community to stop stories about instamine and centralisation.
He said he has that much, not that he instamined that much.
Also in video he said that he had 3 computers mining at instamine time so he was very small part of instamine.

Earlier in this tread you can find few gus talking how and how much they instamined ( with photos ), and comments about Bob Surplus who at the moment had "1000+ BTC's from DRK instamine..."
Also you can find early in this tread that Evan wanted to restart coin ( when instamine happen ) but community ( me too ) wanted to fix it and continue. As he did.
It is 3 years since and those coins are sold so many times that now it is even stupid to mention...
I don't want to waiste my time searching it but I do remember. It is all here @ tread.

I have mastertroll777 on ignore, but unfortunately I keep seeing his posts because they're getting quoted. In case anybody is actually believing his antics, you should probably remember that a real trader, or the head of a secret trading cabal, isn't going to publicly post his plans here, as mastertroll keeps doing.
