By the way, if you have difficulty fully syncing your Dash Core wallet you can also download latest Dash bootstrap
from here :  https://github.com/UdjinM6/dash-bootstrap
(7.7G download of whole Dash mainnet blockchain).

Also deleting the peers.dat file may help with getting some new connections, that may help with your current sync problem.
And make sure you are on latest Dash Core wallet version.

I did all of this above but it has not helped. I still can not sync the wallet and it is still stuck at 18 weeks behind.

I followed the instructions given in github for downloading and installing the boot strap.

EDIT: drk.p2pay.com:50002 should also be up and running now.

Technical and it terms of costs and usability DASH is way better than BTC. But it's often not the best solution that makes the race. Since it is some years now I would say that DASHs momentum hasn't build up enough for such a thing to happen.

They use completly different privacy concepts. On a cryptotechnical level Dash's privacy is a lower level than those other 2. There is a significant difference thought. Whereas xmr's privacy is an ecryption on the blockchain and exists there forever as history and relays on that this encryption can never be broken (I see that as a bit critical the future is a long timeperiode you know) the DASh privacy is a coin mixing process which means once done it's gone.

Cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex is today removing 23 trading pairs of cryptocurrencies due to “low volume.”

The pairs include litecoin (LTC)/ monero (XMR), DASH/XMR, Zcash (ZEC)/XMR and Civic (CVC)/ ether (ETH), among others, as announced on Twitter on Thursday.

There was never much volume in that chart and Poloniex already delisted that Dash/XMR pair, i'm not sure why that chart still exist on cryptowat.ch and why people still use it.

Percentage down from ATH is pretty much the same across the board (Bitcoin SV the obvious exception), so i'm not seeing how Dash performance has been all that different in comparison to other altcoins.
Some altcoins also seem to be doing a slow catchup with regards to percentage down from ATH (XMR and ETH were in the mid 80% and are now getting a bit closer to 90%).
I think Dash percentage down from ATH (in the 95% range) has been pretty stable for some time now, and i suspect those altcoins that are still below 90% will continue facing a lot of sell pressure
untill they too are also getting in the mid 90% down from ATH.
 
Dash performance on mining hashrate (a new ATH was established not so long ago) & total number of active masternodes (current 4923 / max 4969, indicating a healthy level of longterm investors)
& total number of active addresses (higher then LTC and Bitcoin Cash) & number of integrations during this bearmarket on the other hand, is clearly outperforming other altcoins.

Comparing historical prices of altcoins in BTCs is excellent inter-coin performance data.I deliberately didnt post comparison of today prices with ATH prices,because it can distort data of coin true performance after 2017 pump and theirs level of exaustion today.With compairing prices in BTCs just before previous, 2017 pump and today,you can get more realistic data about level of squeezing for every coin,because ATH prices are in most cases just one very ,very short living burst in time.

I also believe that Dash will recover in time.Its relatively low level of minted coins from which about 55% are binded in masternodes,makes Dash much easier target for pump/dump manipulation than it is LTC and especially ETH.
