Hmmm... I'm mining on xhash since last night but the last block was found only 14 hours ago... they used to crack 1 or 2 blocks an hour... Is anything wrong? :-l

Darkwallet is only an option for when YOU make a payment to someone else.

You've got no control over what others use to send payments to YOU. It is the latter that is far more critical because in finance, people are far more private about their INCOME than their EXPENSES. There are lots of reasons for that other than just tax evasion:

 - people set up a payment address for donations and don't want the donating addresses revealed
 - retail product vendors who don't want the blockchain addresses of their customers made public
 - people who delegate their money management to others and want to make sure they don't use a transparent wallet for consolidating their accounts

Dark wallet is useless in all of these circumstances because it relies on the SENDER making sure they use an opaque wallet.

So once again:

Dark wallet is no use for INCOME (the thing we want to protect). It's only any use for EXPENDITURE and then only when YOU spend it.

I pulled an excel sheet to check coin prices adjusted for same mintage numbers.

If all of the coins below had 10.000.000 coins in circulation (so that we can compare price per coin without having to factor in the problem of some coins having billions, other millions and other thousands of coins in circulation), the price per coin would be:

Bitcoin   $570.35
Litecoin   $29.77
Peercoin   $4.49
Dogecoin   $3.56
Nxt      $3.24
Darkcoin   $2.08
Namecoin   $1.80
Mastercoin   $1.37
BlackCoin   $0.73

The question is: Does it make sense for:

Litecoin at 29.77 and Darkcoin at 2.08?
Doge at 3.56 and Darkcoin at 2.08?

Despite the upward trend, which may, or may not be corrected, is Darkcoin "overpriced"?

If the answer is no, then one hasn't missed the train.
If the answer is yes, then where does that leave DOGE or Lite? In "epic bubble" status?

panic sell.

some people spreading FUD.

price crashing real fast.

this is all I understand.

what I dont understand is WHY OH WHY SO MANY PEOPLE MINING WHEN ITS NOT PROFITABLE TO MINE AT ALL??

do they know something that I dont?

I mean if you want darkcoin just mine pawncoin, curecoin, flappy, bitcoin-scrypt, vertcoin, charitycoin, myriad etc.

basically ANY coin is more profitable than dark.

you can buy dark by trading your coins.

I've been doing DIY multipool mining and buying DRK for about 2 weeks. It sucks jumping around.

Basically, DRK is cheaper to mine and the price rise has just made the other crap I've been mining unprofitable. Plus, they have unstable prices and poor liquidity.

I'm switching back to straight DRK today. I was mining when it was unprofitable 4 weeks ago, guess what - it was profitable all along, you just have to view the time horizon in a different way  Wink

People talking about wating for the dump and making BTC profits have to come to a newer thinking.

Is it worth more to have BTC than DRK? I was thinking about this since i made my last daytrades @ 260k
and lost 80 DRK i never was able to buy back. DRK for me since that is only long term, daytrading is too risky for me,
not to loose BTC but i don´t want to loose some DRK a second time.

By the way i did spend my BTC on VTC after realized i´ll won´t be able to buy back my DRK

I want to explain my friends what Masternodes are and why darkcoin will only keep on rising untill the 24th of may and even untill end of June when all is done.

Could someone here perhaps take the time to write it down in some really easy details so anyone could understand? He keeps telling me to sell. I say no Masternode network is not done. He says. WTF are masternodes!?

We need this.. New people are comming here every day now. And all those people don't know what masternodes are..
I don't even hardly know how they work lol

BTC-E are dumb idiots who don't give a shit about profit I Think. They prefer to keep coins like Featercoin/Novacoin on their site instead of adding better alt coins..

BTW this isnt a crash.. This is called swings for day trading. I am happy at every peak it goes down a bit. Because that way you dont get a hugeeeee spike on the chart like Blackcoin
