Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

[...] i don't give a shit about the darksend feature [...]

[...] it will be delisted BECAUSE of it's potential for anonymous transactions [...]many worldwide agencies which want to shut it down because of this [...]

So, which one is it? You don't care or you have a strong opinion which exclusively forms your actions?

If you want to mine and sell X11 coins and you don't care about Darksend, just mine with a pool, send your coins to an exchange and sell them without DarkSend involved. Why do you care what the DarkCoin wallet can do? You don't even need to install it.

sorry, would this make it all better: "i don't give a shit FOR the darksend feature" instead of "i don't give a shit ABOUT the darksend feature"?

all better now?

darksend is a liability for this coin IMO. i'm not mining DRK because of this liability, i'll mine other X11 coins, as that's the only positive feature about DRK, well that and the dark gravity wave thing, that was also good. too bad it's all held up by the fact that once they get darksend working, it will most probably be delisted from all major exchanges. I could daytrade DRK right now and try to get rich on this bubble, but i don't do that, I invest long-term, and this is a fundamental aspect of DRK which impedes it's long-term viability.

address me on the issue i'm presenting, and stop trying to catch me in some bullshit catch-22, my posts have been as clear as day. stop FUDing my posts.

All coins are affected by the bitcoin bubble.. so what ever you do it's believe in it's going to go down. The only one that has any promise is the one that has been most resistant to BTC fluctuations which is DRK - and this because of the fundamentals of darkcoin which argues foremost; darksend.

Let me know any other coin that you believe in long term? Cheesy

Just because something offers anonymity does not mean it's a liability. People made a huge deal about BTC being associated with silkroad and the sole purpose of its creation was for drug trafficking and other illegal usages. Fiat currencies, whether US dollars, Euros, Yen, etc have long since been used for more "illegal" activities than the amount of activity in crypto combined. Yes, they have been around longer, but I'd wager that will continue being a fact.

Just because a coin provides privacy doesn't mean it's going to be delisted from exchanges. It's a feature. People will either choose to use it or not. If it's not the coin for you, then it's not the coin for you but there are plenty of people in the community looking for a coin that does just that--whether it is DRK or zerocash or some other alternative out there.

If this isn't the coin for you, why not move along to whatever coin your heart desires instead of trying to stir the pot here?

At that point I stopped taking you seriously.

Darksend is the best feature in the whole cryptoworld.

Demand for a private store of value and transactions is huge and will get even bigger as the banks/government is cracking down on people's money.

If you think someone (who?) can de-list it from all the places...you're wrong.

And even if that happened, that would only draw more people/money in.
It's like a free public advertisement "Hey there's coin so private/anonymous that we have to try delist it as we can't see into it".

More pages than Dogecoin ANN lol Shocked!
Well yes, the community seems quite active for now. I think that this thread will be the one with most replies in this section soon.

for sure!
I've looked at this, only Blackcoin and NXT have more posts. Both of their topics are closed. This leaves room for DRK to be #1,

Chaeplin's is the bomb. I'm putting it here as well as a few extra links. The first is the aws explanation by amazon. Only for the curious.
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/concepts.html
The second is setting up security keys for the aws.
http://www.keywordintellect.com/amazon-web-services/managing-an-amazon-ec2-instance-using-putty-ssh/
grab putty and puttygen if you dont have. Both are free.

Chaeplins bible. Pretty awesome post. The download links for darkcoin files are dated so just use the newest links.

Maybe we address the fundamental flaws you are having leading up to your vision of what you think is a problem.

If five people interpret something else than you are arguing, maybe you should rethink your approach.

RE: all replying to me:

I never said that it would be de-listed from all places, obviously you can never fully kill crypto, that's what makes it great. what i was saying is that it could very well be de-listed from ALL MAJOR EXCHANGES. which won't kill the coin, but it will greatly affect it's value.

The reason i think that there's a strong chance for it to be de-listed is for the same reason that you all think is so amazing, darksend. darksend is a direct threat to many establishments in the world. setting aside my own beliefs as to weather this is a good thing or not, the trader in me is seeing the big picture. and in that big picture i simply do not see all of the different organizations worldwide which try to stem the corruption of money laundering to simply turn a blind eye to darksend, if it proves successful.

I think that it's simply hippy naivite which keeps people chanting that darksend is so amazing, without the perception that there will be large forces at work who would not want to see something like darksend succeed. and as much as i've like to see crypto take over the world, trust me darksend will "stir the pot" one hell of a lot more than i am here on this thread simply trying to talk rationally.

DRK is great for X11, and DGW. there is a large possibility that darksend could be detrimental.

you don't have to agree with me, but try to understand the point i'm making.
