Guess you should tell that to anyone that practices technical analysis.
Technical analysis my arse, you might as well use tarot cards. You cannot quantatively predict the future the way you are claiming, whatever jargon you erroneously toss about.

I don't think he claimed he could "quantatively predict the future". He just said people shouldn't trade off lagging indicators. They should use them for confirmation which is difficult to argue with.

If you think that they lead the way, that their words are law and that they can't never be wrong. The Bitcoin Foundation have grave regrets about Bitcoin not having anonymity, and they want to find a solution to it. https://bitcoinfoundation.org/2014/04/05/annual-letter-from-the-chairman/Litecoin is the first clone of Bitcoin and is just another alt-coin. If you can name something particularly innovative it brings to Crypto, please let us know not worth mentioning.

Technical analysis my arse, you might as well use tarot cards. You cannot quantatively predict the future the way you are claiming, whatever jargon you erroneously toss about. No one can predict the future, but TA is an excellent means of determining entry and exits as well as price targets. I'll be the first to admit I have no idea with 100% certainty where we will be trading tonight, tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, or a year from now, but what I do know is that technicals can and do work in numerous markets for what I use them for. Whether you prescribe to it or not is completely your choice. This conversation is so far off the actual topic of DRK it isn't even funny. I just wanted to make it a point to say that just because the traditional macd indicator is turning green due to a signal line cross over has no bearing on whether or not price will break out. It can, however, be used as a confirmation tool in the event price is breaking out from previous resistance or breaking down through support to make sure you are on the right side of the trade. I just hate it when people think signal crossovers will make price do something when again, anything that is a true derivative of price cannot lead price. There also seems to be some misunderstanding of momentum here which is as close to leading as you can get beyond price itself. It's not going to tell you where price is going in terms of levels, it's going to tell you whether or not price is stalling and a reversal of sorts is in order.

I just see it happen over and over again (with the macd indicator in particular) as it relates to crypto and people are using it wrong.

Events you can already see have happened? Wow, that's useful!

So now we seem to have come the full circle. MACD crossovers are not a leading indicator --> Leading indicators are things like price and momentum --> MACD is an indicator of converging or diverging momentum === Leading indicator ? Without fully grasping primary loopback Burger King indicators, you can't be confident either way.

And confirmation of what? Events you can already see have happened? Wow, that's useful! Confirmation of which direction the price is going in. Although it may seem strange, you can't tell that from looking at the price because it moves in waves and a down wave may be just a small ripple on a more substantial upwave which is actually the "real" trend. The indicators tell you which it is. Think of a bicycle pedal. You're going up a steep hill. To an ant on your shoe, every half cycle it looks like you're going down. But zoom out and you can see that your actually going up long term. Without the indicators you are the ant. With the indicators you can see the whole bike and know which direction its nose is pointed. So it's not bullshit. It's eyes.

Has anyone seen a good website or app that has 1 minute candlestick charts for DRK/BTC or any other popular altcoin/BTC pairing on the high volume exchanges?
Ideally I want something that also has T lines, moving averages, MACD, stochastics, Fibonacci price extenders and all that good stuff I'm currently learning about.
Sorry if this is a repost, this is my first post here and I don't think the first attempt went through.

i really like the x11 algorithm, but i want to just use it on a normal coin, is there a list of available x11 coins out there? or a consensus on what the #2 x11 coin is? ie. one that's already on real exchanges etc?
anyone?>
