That word doesn't mean what you think it means
When the poster learns how it works, he's going to realize what a fool he made of himself...

It's fun to watch the pain teacher at work... Thanks for posting this.
So this double spend is not a problem? Not coins were created out of the blue?
You, too, shall learn... Embrace the pain of learning everything that hard way...
Sorry, I admit that I'm a real noob. Your reply is scary though
Don't make me bust out a link to Let Me Google That For You... Understanding is less than 30 seconds away, and you're letting it go unfound... Even BitCoin had a hard fork not that long ago...

I already posted a reply with a noob-level explanation of hard fork... See what good it did...
Please stop.  He's asking a question, there's no reason to do that.  It's not good for the community.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Well english is not my native language, and a lot of this uses very specific terms.. Sorry I thought I could enjoy people's knowledge on a forum dedicated to dark, but I understand you're tired of everyone asking "basic" stuff all day every day.

I just remember reading somewhere that a double spend could mean the loss of trust in the whole system or something similar, so I was wondering

There was no double-spend. Just a clown posting what he doesn't understand jumping to conclusions and causing you confusion... I'm not harassing you, I'm harassing HIM. In effigy as it would seem... See what the stupid has caused? The noobs are getting confused by the FUD of the stupid...

Gawd I hate stupid people.

Ok so everyone's right. I thought people were more concerned with being on the correct fork and having access to their coins. I know I was when my 400 coins from mintpal went into limbo while I was waiting for the new version.

Stupid people have made my life very hard. Yes, I have it out for them. I truly and deeply hate stupid people. Welcome to the ignore list, stupid, angry, violent person.

If I could snuff out all the stupid people with the press of a button, I would do my best to make that button turn them non-stupid. But failing that, snuffing them out would be my vengeance and I'd have zero remorse after all the misery that stupid people have caused me. Fortunately, the stupid make their own lives hard and I have escaped their prison. ...for now. But the stupid never stop attacking. They're always on the warpath.

I would have a problem trusting any coin that claims it is listed on an exchange it is not, like the way this one is claiming to be on BTC38, I have an account and actively trade on there, so there so this was something I checked right away, as I am looking for other coins to mine than doge and mec, that I can trade on there directly.

**edit, just to note, I am wanting to know why it was said to be listed, mistake or not, I am not tossing an accusation here that anyone outright lied, just that the information is incorrect as far as I can see (the link takes you to the bitcoin listings for trade and not dark) or if there is some anticipatory reason for listing it, as they maybe have an inside track on it getting listed there??

It does look like its in the OP, but not on the exchange. Their loss.

The whole point of decentralised crypto is you don't need to trust the coin.
