let me ask you a question regarding this forum.... Wouldnt it be possible to switch to a moderated form of forum ...Where it would be possible that an offical darkcoin forum moderator can ban people that are trolling or else... that would be a great reliev i think.... Cause honestly i like this kind of forum more than the structure of for example the darcointalkforum... Here you can read on and on and on and get every information after a while... You can find out who are the important persons etc. I think it would just be good if it would be moderated and te possibility of getting banned would discipline the wild and crazy ones a little bit. What do you think something to suggest?

The OP can lock this thread and start again with a moderated forum.
I never liked that idea...but this thread, more than any, is hijacked by everyone - promoting xyz coin, trying to force the price of drk down, etc. we've even had people openly saying they got paid to troll.
I don't mind anyone that is here to challenge, raise difficult questions, etc.
But the open nature of the community has been hijacked.

I think darkcoin has a much needed big correction. It is important that corrections appear, so that bubbles will deflate and real growth enabled.

Another thread would only cause confusion. Darkcoin has its own forums doesn't it? So that best thing is to always remind people of the darkcoin forums. But I wouldn't start creating new threads here at bitcointalk, because many people will feel confused. This thread is like a blockchain, like a time document explaining everything from the past to the present. So I wouldn't start "forking" the thread if I were the moderator. I would keep on growing this thread, just let the trolls selfdestruct or lose interest sooner or later.

I don't think moderating is good. We should just have a few bullet points ready why drk, darksend, masternodes etc are awesome so we can paste it after every troll post.

Agreed. Also, a thread like this is a great opportunity to grow your "ignore" list. After a while the thread is very smooth reading and it has spinoff effects on other threads - trolls just quietly vanish over time, and since they don't know they have no audience they can waste their time howling at the moon forever. It's bad form to quote troll posts though - it lets them get some of their stuff seen, and there's no point feeding them in any case.

Sorry but a new thread is needed...normally I'm a bystander on this thread but it seems like every time I come in here I have to wade through pages of bs, fud, and generally worthless comments. 1600+ pages on this thread and only a handful of them seem to contain anything useful. Its discouraging to anybody trying to find information about this coin, when they have to read through all this junk.

Hi all I have been in the background since pages 235 ish and have been a huge fan of dark coin . I have even convinced other people to invest in darkcoin to help and support . I do hope Evan is going strong and well as we have not heard much from him. It would be great if we could get a UPDATE on how/what is going on . I have put so Much faith and hope in darkcoin and now I'm fealing a bit upset with what's Been going on. I am a holder but money is not everything would be nice to get everything going again and the support darkcoin deserves .
Thanks all

I don't usually talk much about price, because honestly I don't really care. I'm mostly concerned with functionality and building something with real utility.
However, that's what the forums have been consumed with so here's my take on this. Darkcoin is six months old, last month we went from $0.77 to $15.00. It was literally four weeks long, and what goes up must come down. Crypto currencies grow in this way, it's actually normal. Next we'll form a base somewhere about here and things will get quiet before we make our next move to the upside.
I don't post all of the time because, I work insane amounts of time on Darkcoin. This is my job and when I'm posting I'm not coding. Plus, I'm an introvert and I really like putting on headphones and cranking out some code. It's what I do.
What's next?
Things will relax and I'll start perfecting the hard fork for the masternode payments, then RC3. When we're happy with that, I have contacts now all over the media that would love to do another article and update our progress.
Speaking of things coming down, that goes for X11Coin too. From the looks of it, you trust your money to the decentralized mixer by the way. They're pretty secretive about how it works, but that's what I gather from it. I'd love to get a response. DarkSend is trustless for a reason, you don't want the "XNodes" running off with the money.
Thanks Evan. Thanks Darkcoin dev team. You are making the Darkcoin on the right direction to become miracle. Darkcoin is young, so it can afford the price to evolution. That mean the future. i'm going to join the evolution, will you? 暗黑币,加油
