Relax on the trolls all. Trolls are only effectieve for altcoins. We passed that stage. Dark is not an alt anymore. Dark is Dark.

***EDIT*** Why you delete my comments OP?  I am trying to bring fair and honest criticism.  How can anyone trust this thread if they filter comments?

Moderators are deleting your comments. Probably many people are doing like me, clicking the so useful "Report to moderator" link on the bottom left side, every time you reply with fake facts, spam or just without the proper manners.

Just so that you know, you are a shame for the XC community, and you are hurting the coin. Hopefully from now on you will refrain yourself from replying not only here, but in any thread in BCT.

Is there a lightweight implementation of this? We would like to make a version of Hive that supports it.

Excellent!  Smiley

We need an SPV version of the wallet backend to make this work. Is something like that being worked on yet?

I am not actively involved in development.

We are forging a very new path... and people,  we need to get Joe Public on board,  to make these technologies more approachable and usable in everyday lives.

Speaking of which, I was contemplating the issue of anonymity while purchasing.

HTTPS is probably not the most secure way to conduct trade. Say you go to a website and you want to buy something with Darkcoin...

- at some point the merchant will generate an address to which you'll send the funds
while
- the buyer will have to transmit what he wants / where he wants it delivered / special notes etc etc.

So from a third party watching the transaction, the anonymity breaks. The payment may be anonymous but the overall transaction isn't.

The way I envision this happening is like this: User goes to site, and he chooses Darkcoin as a method of payment (before placing any order etc). A popup emerges with an on-demand encrypted channel through which the address to pay-to is transmitted to the buyer. Thus no-one except the buyer and seller know the address involved. The buyer will also provide, through this encrypted channel, his own address where stuff can be delivered etc.

This should be very high-level encryption, even QC-resistant. Perhaps we can issue a bounty for something like that, get the copyright of the code for the DRK community and then brand that software as DarkSomething(commerce related)... This allows Evan to work on his code while also expanding on the ecosystem by having developers do stuff in parallel.

Another thought I had, again regarding commerce, was the idea of having specific stores run their web servers on masternodes in an internal HTTP/S network of Darkcoin that will be accessible with something like a modified firefox. This hosting can either be done in a single masternode or in a distributed fashion - depending the topology selected. Thus these stores will not be "controlled" by the DNS limitations of ICANN, IP restrictions of certain countries etc etc - as they will be in the intranet. Having an intranet within Darkcoin can be interesting in terms of possibilities.

You sad DRK bagholders don't even know how to verify anon tech.  All you know how to do is hold bags tightly

MrWHALE does actually post some factually correct information.

I'm indeed holding a bag of DRK (quite tightly as it happens).

I don't feel too sad about it though but 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

This is a sad state of affairs!  I don't see any of us originals on here and I can see why.  We never had this type of behavior in this thread.  My take... and I know a Evan would agree... let the best coin win.  Innovation is driven by competition and  XC and Monero or Darkcoin have every right to forge their own path. If a coin doesn't live up to its billing... the market will sort these things out. This is not a competition between which coin or ideology is the best... that kind of thinking is best left in a grade 1 sand box.  We are forging a very new path... and people,  we need to get Joe Public on board,  to make these technologies more approachable and usable in everyday lives.  Cause eventually... the coal will run out and there's no more steam.  We should be collaborating with everyone and presenting multiple technologies and showing the benefits of what we are developing here...  IMHO.  Thanks everyone.

ATCsecure said it's possible for this thing to happen until he employs the trust system. Go back to your cave.

which is why it's really a non-issue.  he has stated current release is a beta and has told users to use its features at their own risk.  REV2 which will eliminate this risk will be released soon.

You cannot eliminate the risk by a trust-algorithm. You are just delaying the inevitable (stealing).

You trust once, you trust twice, (increases number and sizes of transactions that comes your way) and then BANG... the bank robbery when a large tx comes.
Sounds just like Mt Gox.  People trust you since you were the first exchange.  Then, once the moneypot becomes big enough.............800 million in value get's conveniently "hacked".
......What's the latest on GOX anyway?

Please do update.

We have 65 master node in testnet.

Only 14 master is valid.

As testnet masternode payment is started again(time scheduled), please do update.

http://tdrk.poolhash.org/ info is here.
check your testnet masternode ip http://tdrk.poolhash.org/blocks/masterlist.txt .

That's how it's supposed to be.  It's like using cash, you have of course a record with the store/etc, a receipt, they get your address, and info when it's required (unless it's something that doesn't require shipping)  BUT people looking at the blockchain will not know these details.  Perhaps they'll be able to see that coins were sent to a known address of a store, but they won't be able to tell who sent them.  Now if the store's private information is cracked, that's a different issue.  But you take that risk with a credit card as well, and if that should happen, your credit card could be stolen.  Not your Darkcoin wallet.

The whole point is anonymity in the blockchain.  And to make it as useful and easy to use as cash/creditcard hybrid is the goal.

Any traders here? The 5 mins and 1 hr chart seem to indicate a major reversal

no fork that i can see.

FUD because XC is in panic mode - clutching at straws.

Their dev has started helping CRY coin. Another pump n dump
Their mixer is broken and taken people coins.
Their trusted learning solution to stop bad actors is flawed.
Their POS is unreliable and isnt minting for everyone.

Rofl, go read vern's twitter you sad bagholders.  https://twitter.com/cryptsy

Fork is mentioned there.

Do you live in a time warp - I guess you do - because that last message was 26th of May.....The rest of the world is already in the month of June.

He lives in a different reality. A reality, where pink unicorns exist, and XC is a coin to be considered.

mixer works as intended and is decentralized using multi-path solution via xnodes

Describe multi-path and how it relates to XC to me like I'm 80.

Hello together.
I´m pretty new at mining and i wishd for some help so i found this forum and maybe you can help me a bit out here.
Before i was mining Dogecoin with Multiminer, so since it comes with a GUI i don´t know how to use SGMiner on its own and i wanted to switch the coin i´m mining since doge dropped so hard.

So can anyone configure a start.bat for me ? or just reconfigure mine ?
Thats my:
"GPU ASUS ROG MATRIX-R9280X-P-3GD5 Platinum"

And that´s for now my start.bat:
"sgminer.exe --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3344 -u justkili.justme -p asdf -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192"

I didn´t started it for now bcuz i don´t know if it can damage my GPU :s

And i wanted to ask if there is any option that SGMiner won´t take all the 100% of my GPU, since i used MultiMiner alot, i know it had an option in it which gave u a bit free space everytime you do something like watching vids while you´re mining.
Sure it costs some khs but i want it that way and it would be great if there would be an option in SGMiner too.

PS: Sry for any english faults i´m not english at all :3

-I 13 will take care of gpu use... Lower the number => the less GPU is used (-I 12 less, -I 11 less etc)

No damage to GPU, don't worry.
