lol, so same move than a few days before with 17k. I think someone testing this method to create a short panic and increase his coins amount. But it does not look very successful

you call it cryptsy until you want to deposit some coins that arrive few days after the pump & dump Smiley than you call it craptsy

merry christmas darkcoin Smiley

Or make people put buy orders above his wall and then dump again...?

Wow traders must be sleeping, since when does a 100+ BTC buy order at the top of the book not raise the price? Surprising.

I dont believe its real buy wall. There is 1800 or so DRK up to 0.006BTC... This seems to lift a price and then dump more. Why would anyone put whole 100BTC  at once with an intention actually to buy DRKs...? Wouldnt you naturally pur smaller orders across at least 2 platforms?

Maybe I'm naive but to me it seems like people are overanalyzing whenever someone buys or sells.

Someone wants to sell 10k, and he "dumps" => lol why did he dump so stupid he lost so much value
Someone wants to sell 10k, and places a 10k "sell wall" => lol someone wants to suppress the price so he can buy more

Someone wants to buy 10k, and just does it => lol he paid too much for his coins
Someone wants to buy 10k, and places a 10k "buy wall" => lol he's just gonna drive the price higher or he's setting up a dump or pump

Seems like the only way to get it done is to use a bot that will trade the desired amount spread over a couple of days.

I've just published an article in Let's Talk Bitcoin:

Intro to Multisigs and an Example with Darkcoin/Bitcoin Core
http://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/intro-to-multisigs-and-an-example-with-darkcoin-bitcoin-core

I hope this helps people realize that, aside from our unique features, we also have the advanced ones that Bitcoin has, like multisigs. I also mention the foundation a couple of times to give it some exposure.

If you know there is a large dumper and you want all his DRKs, why not put large orders in place. What I'd do differently is wait at 51 instead of 57. It's not like the dumper hesitates to take it that far down. If they are stolen Mintpal DRKs it's possible a -10/-15% is not very important for the dumper.

i was thinking about the Darksend mixing which is under review to make it more fluid, faster
and with better feedback towards users .. what if the wallet could give its users a visual signal when
it detects a lot of mixing going on? That way people who need to do some Darksend mixing for themself
will know it will be a good time to join the mixing right then and there.

Think of it like a traffic light, if its on green it means a lot of mixing going on while if its on red there is little
to no mixing going on.

I like this idea - the client can pull the hashespersec from the network, it could pull some kind of mixing stat too and present it on the overview page in realtime, people are suckers for shiny flashing lights.

Such data might even be useful to the devs?
