Not acceptable.  Any thoughts?

You can buy from CEX.io with a bank transfer or a credit card payment. I don't know much about the bank transfer, but with a credit card your money will arrive in your account in 1-2 hours.

The only disadvantages are:

 You are paying a $11.5/$22 fee for $250/$500 and so on. (the fee is calculated like this 0.25 + 4.5 %).
 Bitcoin is usually available for purchase at a price of $10-$15 above the marketplace. It's not like localbitcoins is any cheaper. In fact, on the contrary.
 Maybe not enough liquidity ?

You can also buy DRK from there, but again, the liquidity problem. Just try it, though. It's pretty good for $250/$500 transactions.

The main reason i use it is because my national exchange "btcxchange.ro" went down after some problems with the CEO and the main developer (profitability issues). My bank transfers ($3 dollar commission) were available in my account in 6 hours and i was purchasing BTC at a price similar to that of BTC-e. (0% fee per transactions too). It was awesome while it lasted. I hope they will solve their problems and get back to offering a great service.

Thanks... I don't mind some of the commissions...but if your doing $2k and up it starts getting expensive.  I'll contact my local exchange as we have a business btc/Ltc trading account since we take btc/Ltc  as well as dry at our winery.  There may a work around or other solution.  I just wanted to see what others are doing...

The fastest "anonymous" (or mostly anon) way of getting money to an exchange is LocalBitcoins then to Exchange as some have mentioned. If don't care about an exchange getting your identity, use Coinbase. They have to verify you, but if you don't care about anonymity it isn't that bad. They hook up to your bank account or take credit card (bank account ACH transfer is super low fees compared to CC transaction). Coinbase uses 2 factor auth and I've never had a problem with it. I get my Bitcoins after buying within 2 minutes and the ACH usually takes a few days to hit my bank.

Sorry about off-topic but has anyone here used ripple. I have some ripple which I want to get rid of but cannot send them to Bitstamp from my desktop client. I add my Bitstamp ripple address and destination tag but it is stuck at "Scanning accepted currencies". If i manage to dump those ripple I will get half a masternode at least Help is appreciated.

We had one guy in here (i forgot who) trying to get into Ripple but he got so frustrated by the whole process that he gave up in the end i think.
If you dont get an answer here i suggest you try at the Ripple forum .. i assume they have a bitcointalk forum or some other forum.

 

Yea, I have three degrees and have been in crypto for years but these SOBs made it very annoying to sell ripple. Buying is easy and takes a couple of seconds but when it comes to dumping your damn ripple, it is pain in the ass. Obviously it is a fraud. Why else they would force people to be stuck with ripple. Selling should also be as easy as buying.

bullshit. you obviously haven't used their rippletrade.com platform. It is very easy to sell...with 1 million usd in trade volume. also their wallet can now send and receive btc.

The only think that is hard to buy and sell is drk. crap volume on cryptsy. You can't buy more than 0.5 btc without going 20% over the spot.

I could even do that but I don't like the idea of storing the coins on the exchange for who know how long to get the order fullfilled...not yet, not yet...just eating popcorn and watching
