Really enjoying the activity of the community in the forum to date. I'm also liking the art and marketing ideas. Maybe we could start a slow reveal campaign leading up to the release of NEM. Nothing like teasing to cause publicity. Maybe some of the raised funds could be used on this type of advertising campaign on Adware / Google / Facebook?

Mastercoin also had / has a Facebook page for its community.

hey it looks really good .

fb ... when looking NEM logo and phrases outside of cryptoworld, I started thinking, if that "No Envy" is good statement - or not.
It contains kind of double negative, which ofc produces a positive thing, but ... is two negative words good for NEM's outfit for mainstreams?
In here, in crypto forums, we all, or almost all, know what that "Envy" refers, but what about the outer world, which has much more people than these forums?

Coins still have to be sent around so people can forge. ( i think )
Would it be a good idea for all stakeholders to say donate and pass a parcel of coins around to the next stakeholder on the list. Would this help liquidity?

I believe part of the POI model will include a "timer" of sorts on the coins. You can only forge with your current coins if you have had them for a certain amount of time, (To prevent fraud). UP will be giving out more information soon.

I am no expert but wouldn't that just encourage hoarding?  

It sure would and it's the first time I hear this timer thing in regards to POI but I might have missed it. Even if there is a timer though there are plenty of other factors that will discourage hoarding.

Each node will have a weight equal to the number of days each coin has been in the account. Forging power is a factor of a node’s weight and the NEM transfers that link it to other nodes. Transactions with more important nodes will be weighted more heavily than transactions with less important nodes.

Not just a timer, and not set in stone either, but my understanding is that it will be a model similar to this.

guys if you are seriously interested in helping promote NEM ( I believe more then a few are ) you should join the NEM promotion Board in Trello.  I think u just need to send a pm to Utopianfuture, its a great way to develop your own specific ideas for NEM and will not get buried or lost under so many posts.

Set up sort of a tree. With different branches of commitment.
A short example and explanation being something like this (just the start of an idea, add to it or say bad, I have no ego)

Like one branch can be 5 min a week of work (make 1 post about something spreading the word somewhere)

another branch can be 20 min a week (go look for 20 minutes for people misrepresenting NEM)

Again these are just examples guys

Word spreading through pms, of our tasks.

say 300 people of the 3000 want to be involved in some way with the "task tree"

Then we do the tree thing where we have the main branch contacts 5 people, and those 5 people contact 5 people, and those 5 contact 5. etc. you get the idea

The point is we are creating a community based organiztion.

i think alot of people would sign up for this and we could leverage the power of numbers

we just need a sign up list and someone to make the tree

With two kids and a fulltime job I can't dedicate huge chunks of time to NEM but I shure want to be usefull ! I truly believe we are creating something unique here!!!

With two kids and a fulltime job I can't dedicate huge chunks of time to NEM but I shure want to be usefull ! I truly believe we are creating something unique here!!!

I would love to join too and open to any suggestions. Personally I feel this is just the tip of the iceberg only a small fraction of the 3000 rite now, the onus is on us to get the others to join. If we can somehow get most of the 3000 to join we truly will have an army of NEM (NEM ARMY)
