Why should I invest in Ethereum?
It's good for day trading, has nice swings and good volume. Thanks! I will take a look. Besides if it is since worth about $1US it is now or never if I want to make a great return. You should invest in Ethereum if you see promise in its utility, not because of volume or trading.

What happened to it so that it dropped out of the top pools, now it needs promotion to attract miners? I've had some bigger DDOS Attacks over the last 3 weeks where the pool (and the stratums) was/were unreachable for quite some time which probably drove quite some miners away. Also there was a fake hash attack vulnerability which lowered payouts for 2-3 days about 20% before it got detected (btw not just on my pool...), thats also a point for the current promo. Lastly miners tend to stick in "the biggest pool" and usually don't move out until the pool is unreachable (i.e. DDOS'es) so its quite difficult to get them move back even if you have higher payouts, bonuses, no fee, blinky blinky stratum proxy compatibility etc..

Eth traded more than $100000 on 24 hour volume today. Eth is getting a lot of adaption by new people daily. Anyone know more about Elephant over ethereum here? I heard that they're also launching a new coin over Eth. Even eth gets huge support outside, and trade volume is rising daily, the value seems not be rising that much faster than the volume. Hope to see Eth in the moon soon.
This is a very interesting fact and all of the things that are going onto Ethereum (like price rise and volume) make me think that it is just hype because the Homestead release is near, or I could be wrong? Maybe it has to do with Microsoft's Azure Blockchain as a Service Platform with Consensys that uses Ethereum technology. I wanted to invest in ETH mining but I guess that I will have to wait until Genesis Mining maintenance is finished. I have seen rumors that mining reward will increase by 100% when we get to Homestead, but I don't know if it will really happen.

Why would you have to wait with mining ?
Because Genesis Mining is still in maintenance and I was going to purchase some ETH mining hashrate there. Unless there is another ETH mining service, then I could decide on which to invest. But it seems to me that the only one is Genesis by now.

It depends how much you are willing to pay per hash, you can probably also just rent some physical rigs from miners.

Hmm.. Is there a Multipool that pays out in ETH currently ??

there is a sense in creating a node for Ethereum and what is the payment and how to make it faster, but not, although they say that this is a very time consuming process ?

Guys, I'm pleased to announce that we have added Ethereum coin. At the moment there's not much invested (~1200 ETH) but you can fix this and get some nice profits from start as we are the only casino which has Ethereum support. Regards, Alex. Great news for Ethereum community.

I shall play devil's advocate, as is my want. Ive heard tell that 1500 ETH is the min amount for staking rewards in the future of ETH PoS Now people r talking PoS pools My comment: this is bullshit and the "thin end of the wedge". It's a peer-to-peer system, right? no more "masternodes" in a dual-tier system, right?? FFS Comments? ty

POS pools will be popular because even with 1500 you will forge one block every year or so (using other POS coins as example). I'm more interested in "when" ETH is switching to POS and how that will affect new supply as I'm assuming it will be a hybrid POW/POS for a while.
