PW,

I've asked that before but received no answer. (Or quite possible missed the reply  Wink )
Is there an API to pull the individual stats?
I know that there is one for global, but I need to pull my workers stats, and would like to avoid screen scraping.

TIA,

A.

The individual stats are available through this URL: http://wafflepool.com/tmp_api?address=BTC_ADDRESS

I am using it for http://stratehm.net for about 350 addresses. I am updating all addresses every ten minutes but I think that updating more often is not a problem for the API since http://waffles.wilschrader.com/ has a 5 minutes resolution.

Thanx Wink

concerning DDOS
http://coinspot.ru/analysis/sluxi-panika-i-ataki-ddos-dikaya-nedelya-dlya-huobi/

Гoвopят, чтo нecкoлькo гpoмкиx DDoS-aтaк, имeвшиx мecтo в пocлeднee вpeмя, являютcя peзyльтaтoм пoпытoк шaнтaжa. Caйт yпpaвлeния пpoeктaми Basecamp (извecтный paннee кaк 37signals) тaкжe «yшeл в oффлaйн», чтo eгo влaдeльцы oxapaктepизoвaли кaк пoпыткy вымoгaтeльcтвa. Кpoмe тoгo, пapy нeдeль нaзaд oни пoлyчили «интepecнoe» cooбщeния:

«Baш кoнкypeнт oбpaтилcя кo мнe c пpocьбoй выпoлнить aтaкy DDoS нa вaшeм caйтe. Я мoгy пpeдoтвpaтить aтaкy зa 300$. Ecли вы зaинтepecoвaны в мoeм пpeдлoжeнии, cooбщитe мнe».

И дaжe ecли эти DDoS-инцидeнты нe имeют к шaнтaжy никaкoгo oтнoшeния, oни yкaзывaют нa пocлeдниe тeндeнции в oблacти кoмпьютepныx пpecтyплeний. B пocлeднee вpeмя знaчитeльнo yвeличилocь кoличecтвo cлyчaeв вымoгaтeльcтвa, кaк y пpeдпpиятий, тaк и y чacтныx лиц, либo пocpeдcтвoм явныx yгpoз, кaк в cлyчae c пoлyчeнным cooбщeниeм, либo пpи пoмoщи вpeдoнocныx пpoгpaмм типa CryptoLocker, paзpaбoтчики кoтopыx тaкжe тpeбyют aнaлoгичныe cyммы oт cвoиx жepтв.

The problem with this (if it's true) is that until the actual DDOS happens you don't know if the blackmailer is bluffing. None of that would matter if the f$%& ISPs would take care of botnets.

can you translate an give an analysis summary of this in english Smiley cyrillic is all gibberish to me and google translate is often gibberish LOL.  What google translate gave me was difficult to read and understand.  I dismissed that translation as I could not make sense of it.

Thanks for that - some feedback:
1) it displays as a 4x1 bar but only uses 2x1 - either make it 2x1 or use the extra space for something Smiley
2) it's name is "a waffle widget" which means that it is shown under "a" rather than "w" which is where I was looking for it in my alphabetically arranged widgets
3) it would be good to have the worker stats...
4) could it change colour based on thresholds so you get a visual cue if the hash rate drops below X?
5) my confirmed is currently showing as 7.95E-4 which isn't the same format as U: 0.007731 even though there is the space...

Thanks very much for sharing this Smiley

Miles
Thanks for the feedback, those are all good ideas and I will look to implement them when I get some time this week.

Could you add GBP as payment amounts as well for us in the UK

Sure can!

I'm too lazy to translate the full text but the gist of it is that a lot of recent DDOS attacks may be linked to blackmailing. One example is Basecamp who received a demand to pay $300 to prevent a DDOS, allegedly ordered by a competitor.

Another example of blackmail is CryptoLocker, a truly nasty piece of malware. The infect your PC, encrypt your files, and demand payment for decrypting them.

Thanks, only $300 lol WTF they should have asked for much more.

All the more reason to keep multiple offline cold storage backups to your PC .... I keep mine on a RAID-5 box that is rarely powered up to do backups.

I just looked at wiki on CryptoLocker ... indeed truly extremely nasty is an understatement LOL

does anyone have the stats for our profitability going back at all?  I'd like to chart it and throw the line forward a bit if there is a gentle downward trend...

I'm sure I saw a post somewhere with various pools compared but I can't find the wretched thing and now I'm not even sure where I saw it! Sad
Thanks

have a look at bitcoinwisdom.com IDK if they have an API ... BTC on rise again Smiley their site shows what they predict will happen for a rise or fall and the general trend line. A very nice site with everything on front to select how you want to view and which markets they track.  Wish they would add more exchanges and coin pairings ...
Is this what you are looking for again IDK if it live updated or just a one-off comparison :
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VOAhFX1XRizdaTp71qnYI5pRh9VIZEQ51LHuGUmxri0/pubhtml

I know nothing about actually using API and can't help there ...

Do you know of a good "primer" for how to access and use an API?  I know excel quite well (not to coding standards) but I've not used an API before Smiley
Thanks

The app is currently widget only, so it needs to be dragged in from the widget launcher menu as shown here onto the homescreen:

I like RERO - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Release_early,_release_often, I have released it in a very basic state to gauge interest. Expect updates and improvements daily, I wrote the QR code scanner last night and should go live tonight.

Cheers,

whatnick.

If somone could explain me why my earnings log is not consistent with stats of found blocks?
After a block is found, it goes through three possible stages:
Unconfirmed -> Confirmed -> Converted

Recently found blocks appear in your coin balances and "Bitcoins unconverted (approximate)" total (newly Unconfirmed).
Mined blocks mature and are considered confirmed by the network (transition from Unconfirmed -> Confirmed).
Confirmed coins are ready to be sent to the exchange and traded to BTC (or are in the process of being sent/traded).
When coins are traded, the earnings log record the coins converted and total BTC made (transition from Confirmed -> Converted).

Real time stats for blocks are on the stats page, yes.  And the earnings log is when coins are converted to BTC and they are added to your Bitcoins earned balance.

I see fluttercoin being orphans repeatedly also, perhaps another MP with higher hashrate jumped onto them and beating us to blocks Sad Huh
