You are correct not enough people know to ask them about it.
I will put in an official request as well.
I am surprised that the software for the S4 is as buggy as it is usually they do better work on it.  I know the very first iteration was a mess but the work around was ok then the next was better and the last best yet but still not working great with other pools.
I really thought after they saw the mess with the ASICMiner controller they would make sure they did not have issues with theirs.  Bitmain messed up a bit on this one.
Still a great miner but not as good as it could be.

I'm just glad the pool works!  Now if only Bitmain would fix the S4 so I can point it here and get the hash I'm suppose to be getting, it'd be a good day.

Do you have other hashpower pointed here?  Maybe run a stratum proxy and point your hashpower through it ... and once the proxy difficulty gets up to 1024, point your S4(s) to it.

M

Thanks for the suggestion.  I've got the S-4s pointed to CK until this gets resolved.  I've still got my dragons pointed here.  I was spoiled early on, so these current payouts really aren't a big deal if I miss a couple.
I'd suggest asking Bitmain to switch to BFGMiner, which can request a (starting) difficulty from Eligius among many other benefits.
They sent a S1 for development a long time ago, but never followed up with documentation or future products.
I can only guess they believe there might be a lack of demand - in which case their customers need to be more vocal in expressing the need to them.

Since they didn't fix it themselves, I've submitted fixes for them. You can grab my binary and install it manually in the meantime, or wait for them to include the fixes and create new firmware.

Yeah, I saw your fix in the S4 thread.  I was going to give Bitmain a couple days to update and if not then grab it myself. Thanks!

Peter Todd seems to have an axe to grind with Blockstream, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.
I'm not aware of any pool deals Austin is making, though it would make sense for him to be talking to pools about supporting merged-mined sidechains.
AFAIK he's not been in touch with wizkid057 on this topic, nor tried to negotiate any pool "deals" through me.

Disclosure: While I only represent myself, not the company as a whole, I am personally working with Blockstream.

I set my payout higher than the default; but for whatever reason the pool keeps putting me in que at .01
I've set it several times but it seems to have a mind of its own. I'm glad it pays out timely.

I figure since I set it higher than default, at the very
least it would pay at the default amount.  If I was doing it wrong.. But I signed it and it said ok..
Obviously the changes I set take affect so that part is working, just not when I want it.
am I speaking in tongues?

[2014-10-26 11:00:55] Pool 0 stratum share submission failure
[2014-10-26 11:02:38] Pool 0 communication resumed, submitting work

and I still would like to know why my payout that I set isn't paying out at that amount; but a lower amount.
it appears it just arbitrarily pays what it fees like once it's above the default.
not that it fucking matters , you still making money either way right..

I'm wondering did you sign the changes you made with your mining address? You seem to be the only one with this problem so it's probably you.

Hello Eligius pool, recently I made this transaction https://blockchain.info/tx/643f881eb19323a9e12784afba5bfc62dd02951512fbc58fc953eb19f69fe518 but I forgot to include a fee, if you confirm this transaction I would pay you 0.02btc I know this is not much but I really need that transaction to be confirmed I would be very grateful if you could do that Thank you.

Hey Luke-Jr,

FYI: I was curious how many non-financial transactions there are and used your prefix list to identify gamble transactions. Then I compared the total number of transactions for SatoshiDice with the sum of the total number of transactions of the 15 addresses listed on satoshidice.com based on the data provided by blockchain.info.

Turns out the prefix based filter identified 11'677'989 transactions at height 327'115 while the actual number based on full hashes was 11'124'066 at height 327'120 +-2.

Under the assumption those 15 addresses are the only relevant ones, then that's about half a million false positives.
