Where did you see that it was used by 'many people' but nowhere was it mentioned it is a criminal fraud?
Numerous post-GAW forums for example. Such as these:
https://hashclub.org/topic/91
https://btclendtalk.org/topic/408
https://paycointalk.org/topic/83

I blindly walked into the trap. I thought it was OK because many people use it...
It was only 0.005, could had been bigger.
Lesson earnt: HYIPs, Ponzis, Scams... AVOID THEM!!

I sympathise - sorry about your loss Sad No matter the size of the loss, it's still painful knowing realising you're a victim.

I'm going to quote this the next time some clown questions why this thread needs regular PSAs warning potential "investors".

I summarize again:
Quote
PSA: Scrypt.cc is guilty of Fraudulent Misrepresentation, a crime in every financial jurisdiction in the world. Anyone who has lost money buying or selling their fictitious 'KHS'/'MHS' token is legally entitled to recover their funds back in full.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/fraudulent_misrepresentation
Quote
Fraudulent Misreprentation
Under contract law, a plaintiff can recover against a defendant on the grounds of fraudulent misrepresentation if (1) a representation was made; (2) that was false; (3) that when made, the representation was known to be false or made recklessly without knowledge of its truth; (4) that it was made with the intention that the plaintiff rely on it; (5) that the plaintiff did rely on it; and (6) that the plaintiff suffered damages as a result.

PSA: scrypt.cc is a scam, most likely of the "ponzi" variety. You will lose your money if you try to "invest" or "play" or whatever you want to call your participation in this shitshow. You've been warned.

More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102560.0

Edit:
Uploaded it here a while ago. (not yet updated)

They are mentioning some "troubles" and even uttering the "scam" word occasionally, but many still clinging to a hope or trying to rationalize the "events". Much like here except the ratio of shills is significantly higher over there.

Then there are people who took loans to invest in scrypt.cc. You've heard of kapetan I think, he was organizing a lawsuit against Marcello, not sure where that went but I'd guess - nowhere.

over the last week or so I have managed to pull about 1.5btc out but at small increments. Looks like he just dumped the 26BTC from the hot wallet to the payout wallet and is getting confirmations. Wonder if he will do any of my larger withdraw amounts or if they will be resent back to my account again.

It definitely takes a certain mindset, re: continuing to cling to false hopes and rationalize these events to mean things other than what they are, ie, a fraud from the beginning. It's the same mindset that gave Joshie his following in the first place, a mindset that's willing to ignore facts and logic and cling to baseless statements like "Paycoin will always be $20" and "We just added 350 Gh/s for our private investors, that will undoubtedly improve our mining luck." While I do think a significant portion of the defenders are paid shills, there are unfortunately some die-hard believers just as there were with GAW. Sad thing is, the old maxim of "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" applies as much or moreso in crypto than other areas of life.

Wait... are you saying that since some members have received payments that scrypt.cc is paying its members properly? Does some members receiving payments trump some members not receiving payments? What proportion of "receiving" to "not receiving" is required to make scrypt.cc clearly trustworthy/untrustworthy (in your opinion)?

Edit: and why do you think the "PSAs" frequently include the advice to keep requested withdrawals below a certain threshold (e.g. 0.05 BTC)?

It is easy to create some false transfers .. It is about those who can not withdraw. This is a lot of people and that's are large amounts of BTC!

If Admin disappear that means only one thing.. GAME OVER.

Stop your whining.
If you don't like it get out.
Look back, it has paid every weekend for about the last 8 weeks, we already know 20 minutes is BS so stop quoting the same thing over and over. Also try looking at what you have rather than what you lost it is done. Calculator never was worth a shit unless you were buying in at that time, it never worked for people who were already invested. ROI is a BS figure as again it is only valid if you buy in today and never meant anything to a person who invested yesterday. Get over it. If you can't just sell out and hope for the best.
