One of the main challenges that I'm experiencing is that the copy of the database that I have is old. The most recent version was corrupted by hackers. Therefore, each refund requires information from the user, which is then cross referenced with data from the old database and the public blockchain. Furthermore, I need to know which address to send the refund to.

To complicate the situation more, during the initial hacking, many deposits were sent to the Bitcoin addresses of the hackers. By providing your information by email or PM, you are helping to create an accurate ledger of balances.

From the Google refund document, you can see that I am not exclusively paying tiny balances. Freejack has received 4 bitcoins of his original 27 bitcoin deposit back, and he is one of the largest investors.

More refunds have been sent today.  Please do not send attachments to the refund email address.

Most of the people who have received back their investment have less than 1 BTC invested.
If I'm correct, Freejack had invested 27 BTC and he was able to substract 2.2 already when the site was still up, he now has recieved two payments of 1BTC each.

What I think is strange is that you seem to payout at random, there are people who sent you a message today who received payments but there are very much users who sent messages earlier (of which I am one) who haven't received anything yet.

I have troubles finding my transaction ID's, I made three transactions from an exchange so I didn't sent them from one wallet address. Since the wallet address of BTC-Arbs was changing with each transaction I am only able to find the last transaction.

Any tips? the exchange is: Kraken.

Transaction 1: 0,1 BTC
Transaction 2: 0,15 BTC
Transaction 3: 0,3315 BTC      https://blockchain.info/address/1FJ52dyn7jqqxPv9EmUuVsLHTfhdvWZwrE
Total: 0.5815 BTC

Yes...in the interest of accuracy, it was "Ron James and the Nonexistent Capital Alliance" who refunded me a total of 2.2 Bitcoin over the course of like three weeks. Since the refunds via Bitcointalk.org started, I have received two Bitcoin (well, 1.9998) and I have received nothing, today.

It would be nice to know what your logic is on who gets paid back when..... Also, question of the day -- was your name really Adam?

When you ask that, it makes me laugh and realize how trusting I was of btc-arbs. I'm hopeful that I might have my btc returned, but I have no real expectations at this point. Glad I'm not so fumed about it anymore.
Bought some NAUT and Dirac so hopefully I will make enough returns off those eventually to cover my losses.

I too would like to know exactly how the logic works as well. Initially I was afraid he would just pay back those that had traced out his real info and vanish again but I'm pretty comfortable thinking that whoever does have the info will share it if that does happen and some of us are still left off these truly random repayments..

That's the thing...the cat's pretty much out of the bag, at this point. I think he knows that he has a "mob" on his hands and its in his best interests to make sure people are at least paid back what they sent him. I see several people on the spreadsheet who are in double-digits owed and I'm sure all of us are pretty motivated to see restitution happen...so organizing something more formal/legal wouldn't probably be a huge challenge. It'd take time, legal wranglings always do...but you'd better believe that punitive damages would be on the table for everyone, as we've all lost the use of that Bitcoin and the ability to trade, increase our earnings, buy mining equipment or whatever the case may be.

He'll want to avoid that eventuality, so I have no doubt that he's going to attempt to make good on the debts. I do believe that he actually IS earning money via arbitrage (I also believed he was, in the beginnings of the site) and that is how he's repaying the debt. I don't know that the hacking story holds a lot of water, for me; but it doesn't really matter how the money was lost...it's gone, either way.

I'm not going to be real thrilled if more days keep passing without my seeing anything hit my wallet, though...I can tell you that.

Here are the exact details of the deposit amounts and dates. I would appreciate if you can refund me my deposits. I have emailed you several times without a response. My emails have the address to send the refund to.

My username on btc-arbs was awesome.

3/25/14---sent in .06 BTC
3/30/14----sent in .07 BTC
4/3/14----sent in .06 BTC
4/7/14----sent in .07 BTC
4/12/14--- sent in 1.0 BTC
4/14/14----sent in .09 BTC.

Total deposit-- 1.35 BTC

Can someone please add my username and Total amount due to the spreadsheet. For some reason I am unable to do so.

I sent my information as well.  Here it is for tracking purposes.

I did not include gains/profits.  I only included the total amount I deposited minus the amount I was able to withdraw after my legacy account was frozen.

BTC-Arbs Username:  MoonCheese
Total Deposits: 5.2446
Total Withdrawals: 0.2695
Total Lost: 4.9751 BTC (deposits - withdrawals)

Unless it's already been done, could someone (who has more time on their hands than me Smiley ) search the boards and see if there are any other threads pertaining to btc-arbs members trying to get their btc back, and let them know about our spreadsheet?

in the google doc do we use our btc-arbs user name or bitcointalk username?

Bitcointalk username. That's how we can communicate with each other. The spreadsheet is for our purposes, not the BTC-Admin. He should be refunding us based on our emails and PMs with the BTC-arbs username information.

PM = private message
If you want to send a PM to BTC-Arbs, go to his profile page (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=337325) and click the "Send this member a personal message." down there.

I would like to know the philosophy behind who gets what? How is it Freejack gets 4btc back and I have received zilcho??? Not that I'm wishing any ill will on Freejack, I hope he gets all his funds back, but I was neither the smallest nor the largest and I haven't so much as received a hiccup in my direction! What gives?
