What do you think about switching LTC pool in Coinotron to PPS with 5% fee?

Sounds good.

We are changing LTC payout algorithm to PPS / Proportional. Now you can switch your workers between Proportional mode and  PPS  mode at any time.

All shares delivered via PPS mode worker will be rewarded with constant rate:

Payout per Share = 48.5 LTC * Share difficulty / (65536 * Current LTC Difficulty)

Share difficulty - how many times more difficult are current shares than base difficulty shares ( currently 8 )
Base share difficulty = 1, base shares have (on average ) 65536 hashes
65536 is the average number of shares of difficulty 1 in a block of difficulty 1

Other rules are the same as in case of Proportional worker

I figured it was a DDOS attack. Lots of that bullshit going around these days. I guess it's a sign that you're important enough for assholes to take notice.

All these attacks are in vain as more pools will just pop up anyway. DDOS makes the operator suffer more than anybody. Hopefully the futility of the operation will dawn on them soon and the attacks will stop.

Coinotron pool is up and running again Smiley

After latest DDOS attack we had to move our server to another ISP. This caused additional delay.
I apologize all miners for the inconvenience.

Good news!

Mine with your Bitcoins: www.facebook.com/pyramining (always active links)
Exchange all your altcoins on Vircurex (smaller fee from that link)

FYI
After 20 h on new server:

- no reports of connection problems, increased stales amount etc.
- PPS shares = 60% of all LTC shares (in last few rounds)
- Pool is working perfectly

Pay Per Share for BTC do not work? Becouse, if I chose PPS for BTC, after adding worker automaticly set it to Proportional.

Yes. There is no PPS mode for BTC. Our BTC pool is too small to support PPS.

Your stats are confusing the hell outta me. They said I had over a thousand shares, then 500, and sometimes I couldn't see myself in the top 20 list. What gives?
