They appear very slowly Right now pool's hashrate is quite small, so we are finding blocks every several hours. Pool uses PPLNS therefore we don't show current round rewards. When we find next block pool will calc your reward and update your unconfirmed balance.

FYI Yesterday we added Bitcoin Gold pool. We already have found first block. Currently pool using PPLNS 1%. RBPPS and PPS methods will be added in next weeks. https://www.coinotron.com/app?action=home

Hello,
How can we calculate the rewards earnin? Is there any raw data we can use. I did some calculation and the rewards don't seems to match, I have earned only one third of what I calculated.
Thanks,
Matias

Calculators are always off.. mostly over estimates.. it's nice to find an underestimate.. but pool vs. estimate is always different and luck / difficulty / exchange rates.. the flux is huge.

It is a matter of mining reward you choose. If your are mining at Coinotron in PPLNS mode then there will be always some discrepancy between your earnings and calculations because all reward calculators assume PPS. The disadvantage of PPLNS is its variance of earnings because it depends on pool's luck. In short periods of time ( like few hours ) that variance can be very significant. In longer periods ( several days ) PPLNS rewards average to values presented on reward calculators. To get stable flow of mined coins please switch your workers to RBPPS or PPS.

Hi! Since you removed RBPPS from FTC pool, is it your general attitude towards RBPPS, does it mean you will eventually remove it on other pools? What was the reason you've removed RBPPS from FTC pool?
Can you offer a round length-based block reward with PPLNS option? Currently BTG and FTC pools display a fixed block reward on the statistics page, does it mean PPLNS option works the same way like on other pools? Your pool is unique in that it offers RBPPS system. My idea is maybe you could combine the two? Calculate the share based on PPLNS, but use RBPPS block rewards. PPLNS 1% fee is very good, RBPPS 2-3% does not look very tempting.

Another question - while Statistics page display a good variance in the ZEC and DRK rewards which probably depends on the round length (as I would expect with the RBPPS system), ETH pool does not display as much variance. What is the reason?

FTC pool and FTC network are very specific. There are very high spikes of hashrate on other pools, blocks are then solved very quickly and to be honest it is quite difficult for our pool to know current real difficulty. Therefore we decided to remove RBPPS from FTC pool. Actually RBPPS is avilable together with RBPPS on many our pools: ETH, ETH, DASH, ZEC. 2% for RBPPS is absolute possible minimum to run pool in long period of time without getting bankrupted.

Right now most of ETH miners work in PPLNS mode.

I am looking forward to RBPPS and PPS for BTG. That would help with the variance from the long block times. What payout method do most of your miners use for Zcash?

What I've noticed is that on Statistics page for DRK, I read: Block 775413 Shares 12266263019520 Difficulty 61776206 Payout 5.5 Block 775327 Shares 1414652755968 Difficulty 61287792 Payout 0.56
At the same difficulty the ratio of shares is 8.67, while the ratio of payouts is 9.82. This does not seem to be right. Should not they be roughly similar, or does it mean a considerable part of miners use PPLNS system?
