FYI

Etheteum pool status: over 50% of ETH miners are using Stratum pool.

We strongly recommend you this way of mining ethereum.

Advantages od Ethereum Stratum mining:
- reduction of orphaned and uncle blocks
- increased earnings ( my estimate is 5%-10% )
- stratum uses much less bandwidth than getwork protocol

It is really easy to set up. Just download mining_proxy.exe: https://github.com/Coinotron/eth-stratum-mining-proxy/releases/tag/v1.0

and start mining using following commands:

mining_proxy.exe -o coinotron.com -p 3344
ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8332/workername:workerpassword

More details you can find here: https://github.com/Coinotron/eth-stratum-mining-proxy

This morning we suspended PPC payouts due to fork issue described here:
https://github.com/ppcoin/ppcoin/issues/100

We will resume sending PPC payouts as soon as this is solved by PPC developers.

FYI

Recently several users pointed out that we present inaccurate ETH rates. Our source was Cryptsy and their rates seem to be quite off.

Today we changed our source of Ethereum rates to Poloniex.

Instructions are good.

The one mini-gotcha is that it is really accountname.workername:workerpassword.  Knowing this convention is a standard thing for veteran miners, but is usually a source of confusion when someone puts in just their workername / password and get the connection failure output from the proxy miner.

Edit:  A 'Nice-to-have' (which i do not see that the Ethminer provides) is the estimated real-time hashrate reached on the submitted work attached to the report as printed out by the mining proxy exe.

The problem is that as i look at the eth miner now, i cannot tell if it is running at the hashrate it should be.  (Am i missing a setting/flag on the miner?)

You are right about this "mini-gotcha". I had exactly the same problems when  I started mining myself on deepbit and slush pools back in 2011. Currently I'm working on new version of user interface. I will fix those gotchas Smiley

Currently we don't support gethashrate provided by Ethminer. I will consider it

Good afternoon. What does this mean?
https://gyazo.com/a9fe9e91c4996294fbe169f5a9323b8b

It means that you submitted valid share i.e. everything is OK.
Of course it should be displayed as Info not Warning. I will fix that in new version.

There is a problem. The farm work on the Internet with a dynamic IP. Periodically, the connection is lost, when a server receives a new IP. The problem is that your proxy then does not see the outside world. Help to solve. Thank you.

Strange. Proxy is in use for 3-4 months and no one reported such problem.
Actually original author of the proxy is Slush. I only added Eth support.
This week I will try to recreate that issue.

I use 3G service provider in this issue. Periodically falls off. When the connection is restored - new IP and proxy blind.

Somehow I thought but it is better if it is decided at the proxy server.

Ethereum pool is working fine.
Probably you have some issues with DAG file or time at your mining rig is way off.

Sorry to ask a lot of questions, but only moved his 600 M on your pool and test. But I can not go to the power, which has been on the testimony at the nano pool. Profit in your pool better than 10-15%.

Where did you found this statement?: Stratum proxy = 10-15% higher profit than getwork protocol
I remember estimating is at 5-10%.
Comparing pool profits is a very tricky task. To many variables affect it: uncle rate, pool's luck, network difficulty, to short mining period etc.

Hmm. I don't know. Author never contacted me. But he doesn't have since he is using publicly available api.

Use it at your own risk.

You can test it here for example: https://live.metascan-online.com/#!/scan-file

If you can wait there is another option:
Very soon (this week or next one) I will introduce new UI with workers monitoring and email notifications.
