Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

I never heard about this, I think this is too much for a verification, if you are going to work for them then ok they can make a video call with you.
But even nowadays the developers are not called for KYC or verification, don't know why but I think that they want to see the work done and not seeing you with documents in hand in front of a camera.

This is the very faster and easiest way to get your KYC within very short time. I have taken live experience of this vedio call KYC by liquid exchange (quiono exchange). Actually I uploaded my documents for 2 to 3 times it failed due to some reasons and they have option of live vedio call to solve this kind of issues with KYC and when I shedule my KYC vedio verification call my KYC got verified in 10 min.

I think KYC via video link is an interesting idea, but it takes too much time. When it comes to checking no more than 200 participants manually, it's real task and will help in the fight against multiaccounting, but when we talk about 3-5 thousand people (bots), then the task becomes unreal. it will not take a couple of days or even a couple of weeks.

Uhmm can be an option if really necessary, probably safer than giving your documents directly, at least there is no risk that they try to steal your identity, because right now I do not see how they could do it through a video, plus that would add some clarity to the whole process.

I think no project will go for that. This will create a lot of problems. If we conduct KYC, it is better to provide your documents. It's easier.

A video call for KYC does not make any sense? And if you are doing a video call by holding your id cards like passport or any other providing your national security number, it is equivalent to sharing your documents as you are sharing all the details with them by means of video. apart from this, there are chances of biometrics theft too. I personally, would not prefer to do a video KYC

Maybe for someone it would be easier, but I do not see anything good in it. Correctly wrote that it is exactly the same providing the data of your passport, so why complicate your life? Moreover, it is even impossible to organize.

I think no one would agree to prove identity via video call, who are they to do it? My bank doesn`t and some people that sometimes even don`t have real company with real plans and capitalization wants me to be fully proven, lol, funny

I think ico teams have done enough by requesting for some documents for kyc and atimes even with a selfie, so I don't see the need for video kyc. Besides this will be really consuming as bounty participants and ico contributors might be up to 10000  in some cases. I believe there are other things tito invest their time in than this.

I think it's a good idea but it has various difficulties. The project team should track on each member of bounty and sometimes it's very hard. But I think if it's a really good project they can find the way to solve it.

No mate. I heard 1st time like that condition. surely there was a scammer. Normally the project teams are not doing that. So every time needs to secure your self.

I think it will be difficult to implement. I don't see any point. No one will want to show their data on the video call. It will be easier to just send your data as it is now.

For me, the usual way of carrying the kyc procedure is ok and satisfactory as additional measures might not be necessary. Althoght it is a higher level of check than the regular one, however kyc does require all these stress from the ico team and also investors who might not have time or who might not be convenient with it.

I think i've seen that kind of KYC, but never used it. I think it would be hard to do, especially for someone that doesn't has a good networking connection.
They'll find difficulty to perform that kind of KYC.

The video call for KYC is really crap, and it does not apply to the actual ICO. KYC's video call cannot guarantee to avoid cheating in the bounty, and there is a high risk of personal information being revealed, so I think identity verification is the most effective way of KYC at this time.

Nope. Giving away your documents to someone who you have never met is quite crazy: but calling them to give them your voice and a face? Enough is enough. I know, they would not really demand it without the forcing from the side of the government, but it is pissing me off, in my honest opinion. AML for space where is every transaction traceable? Please! I think that a name and an address of your wallet is enough.

I think yes it is possible but it depends on how big the project is and they have a valid and acceptable reason why they need to require participant to do video KYC. On the other hand if it is only small or normal project, i mean no respected big people involve or include in project, no need to do video KYC because in the first place no reason  doing it and it will only consume time.

video call for KYC will be a good thing, but it will be troublesome if implemented. the trust will be a lot of people who don't agree about it. about the only personal documents many who complained about it especially with the video call will certainly be increasingly troublesome. but this kind of stuff is pretty safe and good to be implemented.

Video call for KYC is possible, banks are already using this kind of verification. Video identification is ideal for
quickly legitimizing yourself at home. For bounties I do not think that KYC will be needed.
