I don't think there is any rule of video calling verification for KYC. it must be scammed. stay away from that project because providing your original documents is enough

KYC has never made a video call and I am not going to make it. KYC testing is generally illegal for participants in an ICO bounty campaign. I do not think that many bounty hunters would agree to undergo a KYC test with a video call. These are additional difficulties and additional problems. Therefore, if a campaign wants to demand a KYC verification with a video call, I do not think that many headhunters will join such an ICO project. Therefore, it is unlikely that such a campaign ICO fundraising will be a success.

KYC should be about legal document and about our identity and i dont think KYC with video call needed. As long the document are valid, i think its not a problem for developers team and regulators. If they worry about document manipulation, i think there is a law can handle this activity

Nothing is impossible in this space but can it be sustained in the long run? Using Video calls to perform KYC is easy, but how long can a team take in order to successfully complete the verification? In most cases where we have to only uplpad our documents, it takes the team in line forever to verify us not to talk of doing a video call.

As you know video call is safe way to verify users or persons but for bounty hunter only documents uploading kyc should be allow.

I am positive about VIDEO KYC verification, it protects ourselves against ID abuse. But it takes around 30 minute, so it is not only about sending documents but you have to reserve a time.

The risk of kyc passage in the call is high because they can deceive or use other people to talk to you so that this situation is especially difficult as a lot of scammer and ask for a kyc to verify your account even with bounties especially if it's a shame do not try to bump it into bounties as they ask for kyc but there is also a bounty that does not ask for kyc to be careful so that you can not get bounty or ico scams.

for the investor i think they will not agree for this one as well as for bounty hunters lol! if you don't like to upload your kyc then don't participate in their campaign-easy.. in the first place if the project is good to be true and the dev team are solid why not participate and pass your kyc?

As long as the team are also ready to do video call verification to prove the authenticity and been real not just some fraudsters then i as bounty hunter won't have any issue with that, but it is very funny how project team will require kyc from hunters while they themselves are yet to pass kyc? I wonder who are they fooling with kyc crap.

This is  a much better way of how to protect projects from fraud participants, because I have already read enough posts about faking KYC documents. Moreover, it is much faster, because everything is done within several minutes.

I had to a video call from Liquid exchange employees. All because of the fact that I made a mistake once, when i filling out the form. We used whatsapp for communication. It took about a couple of minutes, after which the kyc procedure was completed.

Every project seems to have their own personal verification which risks your identity. I'd rather go with talking and recording my video and my ID card rather than my passport.

If for bounty I have never verified KYC from video calls. But for others like verification on the exchange I did it before. Maybe this is an option so that the verification is done quickly. Sure enough, after verifying via video call not long after, I agreed. And that uses Skype for video calls.

we could take example on xlm airdrop.if i am not wrong ,it requires video call verification to pass kyc.and maybe this methode will more often used by developers team to prevent fraud and cheating.i am sure risk of cheating could minimized.

Never ever divulge any sensitive information into any KYC even if its for you token investment, identity theft is known worldwide your passport can be use to produce fake ones, i have done video verification before did not upload file but was told to show my ID, the older the the better.

I also heard same thing from the local exchange from where I'm residing, they are asking for video call to verify and upgrade your status,after finishing the call and you've pass from what they're requiring your account will be upgraded to the max limits.

I think this is only applicable for people who want higher limits in exchanges or in buying in ICO. It will sound stupid for me if they will insist on investors that has invested lower amounts and it should only be verified through documents. And for that app for  secured video call, I think it will be the projects or companies obligation to find one or a trusted third party to perform it.

Nothing is impossible and the idea is not bad but in this kind of KYC verification it is really hard because this is an extra cost for the time who manage it. I think this kind of KYC needs a plan well to happen.
