Update for the pool:

The migration to a faster database server hit a small snag and has not yet started.  Hopefully it will happen Monday evening.

Definitely looking forward to a guide for using blades with BFGminer. Can't believe they didn't add stratum on these. Also, I know many people like the network interface and could care less for USB on these, but I was looking forward to just throwing a couple on my pi. Guess that's not gonna happen. Anyway, looks like it's quite easy to hook these guys up with power using a "Y" molex splitter or Molex-PCIe connector. Wonder if they have them consuming a little less power this time around? Maybe thats why they clocked them down, to set the voltage to be most efficient? Or maybe for long term reliability? The prices are certainly MUCH lower now though...

Eleuthria, thanks for the close up pic. Did you get any backplanes? If so can you snap a pic or two?

I did get some backplanes, but I don't want to open that until I know what the terms are going to be for these units.  The one I opened is one of the spares they provide in advance for replacement units.

Update on Blades:  It looks like these were meant to go to another reseller, and it was an error in shipping.  Currently waiting on one more response from friedcat before I do anything with them.

Received my most recent 8 coupon units.  Thanks eleuthria!

But I think there is a scam going on here....

Regardless of what the pictures posted around the internet may show, 56 out of my 56 units are BLACK.  I don't think they actually come in ANY other color.  The other colors you see in pictures must be photoshopped !!   Angry  Angry

Actually, the most recent 1,000 that are shipping are all red!  They just refuse to give me a variety pack Sad.

Just to note, the getwork proxy server thingy in bfgminer isn't available in Windows.  Slush's stratum_proxy time for Windows users.

Although it's not too difficult to set up BFG in linux...

Pffft.  Doctored up the tops of them with a little red nail polish.  They're really black - you can't fool me that easily.  There's a major internet conspiracy going on here, I just know it.

Gold is the only color I seem to be missing.  Have red, blue, and black.

Yeah, just bounced back to negative luck this difficulty.  Let's hope for another big swing upwards soon.
