How can i view this pools's luck?

The PPLNS stats page shows our luck this difficulty, and also our luck split into 10-shift segments (~8 hour intervals).

Thank you. I think that's the only tab i didn't tried Smiley

Thanks for the information on the migration, it is greatly appreciated.

My mining rate seemed to drop by half over the last day and I thought that my kitten might have had something to do with it as he was thrashing around chasing his tail near the miners and I wondered if he'd knocked them about or damaged them in some way.

So I'm glad that I spent the last ten minutes reading the last few pages on this thread as now I don't have to worry about questions like, 'Are my miners damaged?' 'Will this happen again?' 'Now do I need to keep the kitten off the desk?' 'Is my software working properly?' 'Are my miners too hot?' etc...

Once again, thanks guys, it was very helpful  Cheesy

Why is it during the day blocks found go up and during the night they go down?

There's likely to be more bitcoin miners in the US than in Europe.  Or perhaps there's more in Asia than Europe?

Extend your analysis to a random four week period and then see if there's still a daily variation.

You have to be on PPLNS to receive NMC.

BTC Guild was the first pool to deploy variable difficulty, and if you do not adequately set your minimum difficulty, the pool will adjust it for you.  That is why the setting is labelled "MINIMUM difficulty".  BTC Guild uses a 20-40 Shares Per Minute range (it doubles your difficulty any time you hit 40 SPM for a 5 minute duration).

Site has been extremely fast here, there isn't even a slow period when scripts run anymore.  Sounds like you may have had a bad connection to the cloudflare server that you were directed at.

I "adequately" set minimum difficulty to reduce discarded shares. Maybe server needs more bandwidth? Huh You are after all pushing 300'000 GH atm.

Discarded shares are meaningless for stratum.  The statistic means absolutely nothing to you unless you're on getwork.  Just ignore it.

Higher difficulty means higher stales/discarded, how is that meaningless?
