What's with the luck since the last difficulty rise.  It's horrible (according to the PPLNS Stats page)!!!

What's with the luck since the last difficulty rise.  It's horrible (according to the PPLNS Stats page)!!!

It's only ~15% negative and it has not even been 48 hours, meaning its highly volatile still.  Based off the blocks found in the currently open shifts, it's probably about to flip to over 100% in the next 12 hours.

When doing the auto withdrawal do we have to pay a fee to transfer it to another wallet?

BTC Guild covers the transaction fees required to send payouts to your wallet.  If you're sending it somewhere else after that, it's the standard Bitcoin rules (same as a payout from any other pool at that point).

Tomorrow (exact time not yet determined), the first coupon orders will be made available.  The first coupons are specifically for the users who had units on backorder at 1.05 at the time of the price drop.  All of those orders will get coupons and do not need to worry about the rest of this post.

[Previous post information about a coupone raffle is now inaccurate]

EDIT:  After reviewing the correspondence from ASICMINER, the previously announced plan for coupon distribution is no longer valid.  I did not recall any specifics on how coupons were to be distributed, but after looking through all the PMs (yes, all this communication is through forum PMs), it was identified that the coupons should be assigned in reverse order based on order date.  As such, coupons will simply be assigned to users tomorrow.

Once assigned, coupons will have a 1 week expiration date.  Any unclaimed coupons will be re-assigned every Monday to the next most recent orders.  If you do not want to claim all of your coupons, there will be an option to give up your coupons so the next person can receive them.

Digging through the thread and couldn't find the answer to this one so bear with me if it's already been tackled.  It's not listed on the description of the Pool that I can see.

With the PPLNS option, if you're the miner that found a block, do you get a proportional percentage of the reward, or is it shared out of the last 10 like if someone else found a block per your overall percentage of work?  So basically if you found a block and you're on PPLNS, it only really counts towards bragging rights in the leaderboard and no difference in payout vs if you weren't the one that found it(them)?

Only bragging rights. There is no "bonus" for finding the block, they are paid out like all the other open rounds of shares.

I just got my 74 Satoshi (give or take), and it was a billion-diff block too ...

I'd have preferred that luck on the lottery (it was roughly my 500th share submitted)  Cry

Yeah... in your mind, sometimes such things can make you sad. However, if you didn't have BTCGuild's coin base, those same 500 shares wouldn't have won the prize if you were using your own client. Or maybe they could have, even sooner.

Thanks for the answers... I definitely would rather have a better chance at a "fair share" of the reward and luck with PPLNS over time from the Pool than I would get with the Lottery crapshoot if I mined solo.  Then again 25BTC would be nice little bit of luck Smiley

Coupons are now available in the store for users that had orders eligible for them.  The notice has not yet been added to the website, but if you try to place an order and have any coupons available, there will be an option in the order page for:  COUPON: USB Block Erupter    0.15000 per Device.

Notice will be added to the website soon to alert you if you have any coupons available.

There are still a few coupons to distribute so you may see the notice in an hour or two if you don't have them already.  Remember:  They're applied starting at the last 1.05 order to ship, and working backwards.  If you ordered in the first 2 weeks, its highly unlikely you are eligible for any coupons.  Please remember that I did not set the rules for this.  ASICMINER determined when to drop the price, and the coupons are something they were not obligated to provide.

Eleuthria, is it possible to post a order # cut-off where coupons were already distributed?

I ordered in the LAST two weeks before the price drop, and I don't have a coupon Sad

Is that expected? It sounded like the last 1/3 of orders would get one...
