Same here.  My stratum.btcguild.com connections are all mining, but not a single one is showing shares on the dashboard.  Hopefully the work is being logged Smiley

    +1
Got the Exact same thing here, Im getting email alerts that all my miners are offline, But checking each one of them, They all delcair "i am happily mining at btcguild"
Site says that all my miners are offline and that my "current shares" are Stuck at 0
Also my "in open shift" shares are not moving either

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Yeah, and backup pools are not fairing so well either. Now all we need is NK to drop a bomb or something to end this day on a bang.  Tongue

Yes, most the servers are being DDoS'd.  I'm very sorry that it took this long to react, the alarm that should have triggered when the servers went down never made it to my phone.  Working on it now.

I dont know what the hell is going on... The pool has passed three blocks since the start of the possible DDoS, And yet my Current Shares and In Open Shifts are Stuck and not moving
Shares are being dumped into the pool... Im not getting connection issues... website Seems to work, But the Stats/Dashboard is... Stuck and not updating.

Im even being email alerted that my miners have dropped off, But yet they are mining, and were never "down" for longer than the email notification threshold that i set

BAM!, Now thats what i call Support!, Eleuthria didnt even get the message of failure, And yet he still responds in two hours to fix the damage
Im seeing green lights all across the board!

US Stratum servers are back up.  EU server has been blackholed by the ISP temporarily.  EU servers should redirect to US shortly once your DNS cache updates.  The pool was still able to find a few blocks because there are some private servers available that have been slowly distributed to miners over the last few weeks.  Most users in the Top 100 have received them (though not all have moved over to it yet).

Hi,
I have some workers connected to BTCGuild and they seem to be offline since more than 1 hour ago?
Any suggestions?

Using fallback-pools? Im not mining at the moment but i wouldnt forget this because a pool can have a downtime every time.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

eleuthria, cant you check with mtgox what they are doing...they have DDOS protection, but obviously its not working. If I understand correctly you dont use any external help. Or is it that the intensity  gets stronger, even for the DDOSes against the pool ?

When a powerful DDoS hits, nothing can be done.  BTC Guild still goes down completely when under a huge attack.  I guarantee what is hitting MtGox is orders of magnitude higher than your average script kiddie attack.

I guess nobody felt the need to report it, but the getwork server in Germany is currently unavailable (blackholed by ISP this morning).  I'm going to try to get it turned back on, but it will likely be shut down before the end of the month.  Very few people utilize getwork on the EU/Germany server.

How you holding up eleuthria?

all this craziness impacting your world much?

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

I'm doing fine Smiley.  Honestly I was expecting far more attacks due to BTC Guild's rapid rise.  So that stress hasn't been around.  As for the market:  I was happy at $15-20.  I was happy at $50.  I was really happy at $100, and I was in disbelief at $200.  We're still way above that $15-20 I was happy at Smiley.

Something wrong again?  Roll Eyes

Everything looks just fine here.

Eleuthria, can you explain why the Current Shares jump from a high number to 0, but the shares in Open Shifts and Open Shift Earnings do not change. I suppose that when a high number in Current Shares turns to 0, it means the current shift is over and the shares in open shifts will change?

Yes when the current shares drop down to 0 or a low number it means a shift ended and a new one started.  If the open shift earnings doesn't change it means we're having bad luck (a lot of that the last few days) an did not find a block in the last shift.

But when I look back at each shift, none of them has 0 blocks, currently around 15 blocks each shift. And there is a statement:

"Open shifts continue to receive payments until 10 additional shifts have completed."

When a shift is completed, the following will happen on your PPLNS Stat summary:

1) Shares in current shift will reset to 0 (you probably won't refresh the exact moment it resets to 0, but you will load at a lower number)

2a) Shares in open shifts will increase by the shares you had in the current shift (now the newest open shift)
2b) Shares in open shifts decreases by the number of shares you had in the oldest open shift (now closed)

3a) Open shift earnings will decrease by the amount paid to the shift that was just closed.
3b) Closed shift earnings will increase by the amount that was in that shift.
