Is solo mining on the Mac wallet fixed?
It reports 0.0 KH/s

I also don't see any way to unlock the wallet. And still using the Litecoin icon?

version: v1.1.0.0-gddaabbcc

EDIT: Ok now it reports 10.8KH/s

Ver 1.1.0.0 is the old MAC wallet, and I don't recall seeing any bug reports for it, so there currently is no 1.2.0.0-beta like there is for windows.

As far as unlocking goes, when you try to send coins it should automatically ask for the wallet password, so no unlocking needed.

The LTC icon has got to go though!!! (this is what happens when stuff gets released without bug testing.......)

It will properly mine though, correct?

I believe that it will CPU mine, not sure on GPU mining (no MAC to test on to verify).  The 1.1.0.0 wallets went out at the neoscrypt switch, assuming that they would work correctly, as they were paid for, to be done by someone that should have known what he was doing.

All new work is being done by someone else, as the 1.1.0.0 coder definitely didn't do any debugging before release, beyond making sure that the wallets would sync and send/receive coins.

There will be no more releases going out with the assumption that they run fine, they will all be debugged as thoroughly as possible.  And we work with what we have until the debugging is done, and the next release is ready.

Well I can confirm it mines properly, just found a couple blocks yesterday. FYI...

Well, I got an old server to play with, installed latest wallet on it, and had 16 threads of Intel Xeon E5640 @ 2.8 Ghz running overnight. No luck this time. It sync'd to the latest block from zero in about a couple of hours, maybe three. GPU would have been better.

Server is an old HP DL380 G7. Dual Quad Core.

The hash is down quite a bit now, if you tried again I'm pretty sure that you'd get some.  lol

I had fun mining with my CPU, using the wallet a while back.
Actually got a couple blocks.
Still using TheBlocksFactory though and my GPU.
I really like the sound of it's fan running in the background, knowing that I am doing something.

I had the wallet mine yesterday for kicks using the built in miner, found another block.
WOO HOO!

edit:  Forgot my wallet was running in the background.....just got another.

A fun, little thrill, getting some coins unexpectedly.

Block 500,000 getting close.

Looks like reward halving coming up in about a week or so?

GUN has had, and is still in, a very long "early adopter" initial block reward phase.

edit: ran my wallet again to mine the other day, got another block in a couple of hours
That was simple, and fun. Smiley

I know that I am here long term and it's one of my favorite cryptos.
To me it is a statement also, to help support a fundamental right.

Enough soapboxing....

I contacted CoinMarketCap to see if they could update the available coin supply since it looks like they were using a defunct block explorer for their info.
Let's see what happens.
Should bump us up a bit higher in market cap if/when they do.

It looks like I called the "block reward reduction", a halving a while back.

Nice to see the rewards at 150 currently, not 100, making it better for more to experience extended higher rewards for their efforts.

Not many can say they didn't have a chance to "get in early".

BTW, what is the reward schedule?

Someone check the source code. I don't think it's 50 per 500k blocks, maybe it's 75% of the previous era, but then you can't be sure unless you read the source code or ask one of the devs to comment.

I'll pay for an updated block explorer and keep it paid as long as there is development. That can be my part. Just get me the info on whoever you want to use.

Just get it set up and send us the link - Thanks!

I do, and use it quite often to look at the state of what is happening with GUN.

The prepayment for those services was a nice donation for GUN users to have that information available.

The OP of this thread needs to be updated, so that it is more readily accessible to those who don't know about this.
