Most people I know hate to make KYC, but they have resigned themselves to it.
You have to trust the KYC provider, many emails, identity cards and addresses have been misappropriated and sold in the last 2 years.

There are lots of kyc providers and we don't really know which one is really secure. The providers you think they are trustworthy may be selling your identity and you won't know anything about it.

you're right and that's really scary, I submitted KYC many times during last year and I have fear that some malicious actors now have sensible data about me

I think most people would chose not to have to go through the KYC process and disclose their personal data but I am afraid we will rather see it even more in the future than now. Especially when in the future more security token offerings are starting.

Well they do it at Coinbase, Kraken, Binance etc too, so why not at Jarvis

i think they have made a partnership with celsius wallet, i hope they will do soon another one with a decentralized exchange/wallet where we can subscribe without a kyc

Where i can read about this partnership and goal pf this collboration? I never heard about Celsius wallet before...

First mention of Celsius was on Facebook, I believe.
Statement from Jarvis is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5062063.msg49697071#msg49697071

So, as i understand this is a wallet with possibility a  collateral to borrow money and they have own token? Their wallet fully working already?

My first thought was, that a state authority would have to be responsible for that in every country,
but even in my own country, the residents' registration offices sell my address without my permission.
So there is not reallly a trustful company out there right now.

Hello guys,

KYC depends on where you are incorporated, and with who you are dealing with (as example, do not deal with US customer, because you will get into trouble then, this is what happened to IDEX).

KYC is anoying, but if you have made a single KYC and the data are stored in the blockchain so then you can grant access to your KYC to some Apps, it shouldn't that an issue.

If we need to do KYC and to keep the data on our side, it will be only for regulatory reasons, but we do our best to do not need it for most of the features. KYC can also be stored off-line, only acessible from computer not connected to Internet, and in a sandbox, so it can prevent data leak while remaining compliant with many juridiction.

Exchange hacks are happening quite often nowadays. what are the countermeasure you guys are taking in order to keep the funds safe?

We do not hold clients funds so... even in the centralized exchange. No worry for hack.

Wait... you don't hold the user's private keys in the centralized exchange? I must have misunderstood something in here.

Yes, but as the technology evolves, and the number of hacks increased, we saw that it is better to bet on a hybrid exchange rather than centralized. You can have centralized components but a decentralized way to manage funds. Plus we do not like centralization that much, it slozing down every processes so we do or best to avoid this.

Hello everyone,

Here is the official announce: https://medium.com/jarvis-edge/jarvis-and-celsius-network-team-up-to-bring-p2p-lending-and-borrowing-of-digital-assets-to-b8c0aaa76c6f

I am very excited about this partnership, and the best is yet to come: what we might be able to do with their solution is beyond what we were planning Smiley

The first step is a referral link: https://celsiusnetwork.app.link/jarvis

Everyone opening an account with Celsius using our link will receive 100 JRT tokens

The second step will be a deep integration (Celsius Network will replace the Lending Wallet and the Cold Storage wallet in our wallet structure).

The third step... you will see Smiley

I tried but after verifying my email and phone number they are asking to complete the KYC process which I am not comfortable with so, uninstalled it.
I guess i'll be registering in celcius network then. But first i need to learn about what that is though. Time for some research...

Hello,

we will onboard another partner which will not requre a KYC, a decentralized celsius-like one Smiley

How is that legal? One person has to use KYC, the other doesn't...

With Compund protocol as example, no KYC needed. With BzX neither.

And what about Blackmoon, Daneel and Bancor ? I get Bancor since it's basically an exchange, Blackmoon it's basically an investing platform but I don't see Daneel in this picture Huh

Is Blackmoon still active? Cool!

Yes it is and I think that it's a wonderful platform. By the way, can someone explain to me all those parterships and how they gonna work with each other?

So consider every partnerships in two dimension: the first one is a basic integration where you can access these partners applications seamlessly. If you want to invest in a ETx from Blackmoon, you can connect your wallet to their app and voila Smiley

A second dimension is to use API: some partners have their own UI, but it is not very user friendy. So thanks to their API we can just recreate better user-experience and simplify all the processes.

Can you explain me what is Celsius wallet? This is your wallet? So why I dont see this wallet on your site in this way? Or what relation your exchange have with Celsius wallet?

Easy: you deposit funds inside their network; your funds go to a multi-sig BitGo wallet, ultra secured. You receive an interest every monday, and you can withdraw your asset at any moment (if it is below 20k usd worth of assets, if no you have to warn them before). So it is a saving account, basically, with returns up to 7.10% a year.

By depositing your asset there, you can also use them as collateral to borrow money.

Kinda lost track of the roadmap? When can we expect Jarvis to open its doors again?

Hello,

initially we were supposed to launch in q1, but due to the fund raising results we were forced to reduce our burnrate and slow down the development to align with our finances. We keep working hard on it to do not impact to much the roadmap, but many things will need to be changed. However, if the roadmap changes it does not mean to delay everything but to reverse priorities and to start launching other components first. As example we wanted to launch our decentralized exchange and dapp browser by the end of the year, we will maybe start with that and finish with the centralized exchange.

Decentralized exchange sounds good. There is still no good one out there so if done right you could grab most of the market share.

There are many decentralized exchanges but no-one of them has solid volume. Do you think you can attract enough volume to decentralized exchange?

So it's easier to launch a decentralised exchange rather then a centralized one? Order books will be decentralized? I prefer a centralized solution or it will be slow like forkdelta

so due to the funds raised perhaps below expectations you have slowed down a bit the development of the project, however, the decentralized exchange and the dapp browser by the end of the year is not bad at all as objective...

Good question. Is Jarvis  planning to partner with market makers?

As good as it is, even though it doesn't reach the funds it wants, the team continues to develop even though it's a bit late, because I don't need to worry, and it's good that we wait for the latest information from the JARVIS project.

can you disclose how much funds you generated including from your extension sale? and how much is enough to normalize your developmental phase as you stated many things might change because of what you achieved from the sale?

Where does the interest come from? 7% interest per year is huge but there must be some risk otherwise everyone would do it.

an interest of 7% per year is very tempting but i also think is very risky i can not see the benefits for jarvis from the partnership with celsius...
