COVA is a new paradigm for data to be used as capital. Data is quickly becoming the most important asset in the world, yet currently there is no infrastructure to control how it is used. COVA provides a unique solution to this dilemma and allows data owners to take advantage of the commodification of data.

With the new COVA internet protocol, the owner of a data package can compose a data usage policy that specifies the data’s expected behavior. The COVA internet protocol will make sure that the policy is enforced by code. We call this machine-enforceable data usage policy a “Smart Policy”.

COVA has taken top votes in Phase II of HuobiNEXT voting. With a total of 788844 votes, COVA has met and exceeded the voting target.

What is COVA?

Technical Specification

Powering the COVA network is a substrate of TEE nodes that run COVA software, and provide the horsepower of secured and trusted execution. All data and code that is processed by the COVA network are securely pieced together, hidden and protected inside an enclave. Smart Policies are written in Centrifuge, and provide data owners with a new tool in their arsenal to prevent their precious data from being abused.

But if the advisor is correct, Mr. Ji Tian, who has become a Bitfinex investor and Zcash consultancy, will he be sure to succeed Covalent?

It is an interesting concept. You talk about keeping the internet open, yet you talk about controlling the use of data for its intent; which sounds more like restriction. It would be good to understand the concept with some use cases. Lets say i share a recipe for a food dish on the internet; how would Covalent play a role ?

As of now Mr. Ji Tian is part of the advisor team. I was not aware of his role in the future as I am not from the project team. Honestly, advisor list is small but solid and sharp.

The project has an interesting and promising concept, I think this is its positive feature. But there are too few coders and programmers in the project... I am not sure that even the best idea today will be able to attract the right people to work in the project. The time of enthusiasts is almost over...

No there is no active tokens sale at the moment. According to their Telegram group, they are finalizing details for the token sale and then will announce them later.

As a big fan of innovation, I am particularly impressed by the fact that there will be a new internet protocol that actually cares about users and gives them absolute control.

The internet is a scary place at the moment and the fact is, we don't own our data, once we click a button, it takes luck to be on the safe side, so i think this is a pretty much value added project that is really needed and the security they tend to put in place seems to be a very much high end security process which will create room for the efficient utilization of the internet

No there is no active tokens sale at the moment. According to their Telegram group, they are finalizing details for the token sale and then will announce them later.

One thing that intrigues me about COVA is their community development approach, they do more of physical meetings which is quite a unique way to get closer to the community and make them believe in the process that they tend to offer, also it instills confidence because they are not hiding behind the curtains or focusing on virtual process, unlike the norm

I guess the project is in a startup stage. They’ll update on ICO sales later. Best way to build a base before you startup sales. The team is experienced. Hopefully they start up sales soon.

well yeah, but they should also try to do an online meetup or AMA doing so will give them access to a larger community and expose their project to more ears and places
