I want to try to be part of this project and see good future from Veil, before that I hope the team can register their coins in the top 10 exchanges and I am sure this project has good potential in the future. this project indeed is worth to invest and getting a lot of support.
Listed on top exchanges is good, but it is not essential thing to build up a good, and successful project. Of course, top exchanges have their own strict rules before accepting to list new coins on their platforms. However, at somewhat extent, we sometimes see big exchanges delist bad coins. It means that top exchanges can accept bad coins due to their incorrect assessments with listing requests.
Anyway, I hope that VEIL will be listed on top exchanges in the second or third quarter this year.

I want to add that the "top exchange game", is wrong way to look at it. We don't need to look for them, we need to make it so that they look for us. When we are the essential and important part of of the crypto world, they will get to us.

Privacy is the most needed thing nowaday. Specially if we talk about digital currency like crypto. Why VEIL better than others?
Hey dnsokoljuk, quite agree that privacy is very important, and Veil aims to be the most private crypto. Even in this early stage, Veil already has the biggest anonymity set sizes in the market. Smiley

To anyone experiencing syncing issues, we recommend using a snapshot from here:
https://veil.tools/docs/snapshots.html

Here is a guide from the Veil Support Portal Knowledge Base on how to use a snapshot:
https://veil.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000478708-how-to-use-a-snapshot

Its a little bit hard to sync the wallet to fully update it and some people maybe discourage to keep it updated and I think the community would appreciate if the team could develop a web based wallet instead or is there already a plan for it on future implementations??
Right now the focus is on the desktop wallet. In the future the team will be looking into mobile wallet as we do know this is convenient for most people. Smiley No ETA yet as to when it will be, but we will keep everyone updated on our social platforms once we have something more concrete to share.

Thank you so much dear for the snapshot info.

This is probably the most high paying campaign here in altcoin section.

For anyone looking for a great place to rent their signature veil is a best choice since its already listed on multiple exchange and this project has the potential to go bigtime in the next bull run Cheesy

Oh my... Things just got real around here

I staked my first block!  Shocked

Super excited cause I wasn't expecting one for a few days yet. Must have got lucky on this one.

For anyone interested, I only have about 1100 staking and in denoms of 10 and 100. Took about 5days

Congrats!  Wink

How do you know the denoms that you are staking? Is there any command to see how much of each denom do you have?

If i convert to zerocoin 800 veil and later 200 veil more, they will stake like 10x 100 denom, right? Won't be converted to a 1000 veil's denom. If I want a 1000 veil's denom then I would have to send to CT or basecoin and convert to zerocoin again, I guess.

Thanks!

Congratulations! There's nothing quite like the feeling of getting your first one. Here's to more to come!

Hey gerywski. Smiley That's right, minting 800 and then another 200 would give you 10x100 in zerocoin veil denominations. The highest you can go to manually mint 100 denoms at a time is 900 - going up to 1000 will give you 1x1000 denom.

To see how much of each denom you have, go to Settings > Advanced Options > Console > and type in listzerocoinamounts.

You need to fulfill these conditions for staking:

1. Have funds in zerocoin veil. Note: Only zerocoin veil is elligible for staking
2. Staking toggle must be turned on.
3. Wallet must on online.
4. If your wallet is encrypted, wallet must be unlocked.

I've reviewed the project looks like a really nice wallet this weekend and want to try the mining application. I share the results clearly with you here.

My congrats. Do you know the minimal requirements for profitable staking in respect of hardware? My wallet is on outdated notebook with Mobile Intel Pentium B950 and 4 Gb of RAM and I'm in doubt about its ability to stake.

This looks super interesting how do I participate.in this activity

Until Precomputed Zerocoin Spend is out (planned for next wallet release), it definitely helps to have a CPU with powerful single-core performance to reduce time to compute Zerocoin stake/spend.

After Precompute is out, CPU won't matter that much but it is still going to be beneficial to have decent single-core performance.

Guys I have a question on POS mining. How much will I get coins per day or per month if you buy and put on the wallet of 1000 coins Veil. I want to understand what ROI?

You can stake by having funds in your Veil wallet, and converting your Basecoin, CT, and RingCT balances to Zerocoin. Then keep the wallet open 24/7 to continue staking Smiley.

With 1,000 coins, you may get (on average) one stake every 13 days. That means you need 13k coins for on average one stake of 50 coins per day. Over time you will need more coins than 13k for one stake a day on average because the coin supply is increasing fast for the first few years.

1000 coins stake continuous over 13 days and get only one staking reward round. In my opinion, it's terrible staking rate if we take into account the staking rate will decrease over time when difficulty increase, and more stakers actively operates on VEIL network. It even does not count for orphan blocks found from staking.

Another thing to consider is that the development fund, and I think the Labs fund, are not being staked. That is a large % of the coin supply not being staked.
I think it's close to 20% of the overall supply? maybe the OP could comment on this?

So if you think about it, the network weight will always be much lower than expected and hence, you should stake more than anticipated.

I can confirm that any funds that do not leave the Budget and Labs multisig addresses are not staking.

Thanks

Yes you can do that with this console command: sendbasecointostealth <sv1 address> <amount>. Remove the < > brackets when replacing values.

For a full list of send commands, you can refer to this article:

You get 50 Veil if u win a stake, so that’s 5% roi in 13 days, it’s very high, and also the reason why it will go down later, because the same rate would be unsustainable.

A lot depends on luck. Here the average value is taken, but you can get as much as 20% and 0%. I think for network stability this is the best option.
