Looks like Khamzat Chimaev v Colby Covington is in the works for UFC 285 as well and the winner gets a title shot. I think that will be a good match up. Colby will give him a good match up but Chimaev is too good right now.

Am I the only guy who's starting to think Chimaev vs Covington could end up just like Makhachev vs Oliveira?  I'm pretty sure lots of the fans and betting degens would end up split in the picks with some going back and forth between Chim and Covington.    And in the end of it all Chin lined at something like a 1.70 favorite before the fight then looking like a 1.35 favorite after the match.  Another one of those things that says 'what did everybody expect'.

It turns out that my country has a potential fighter for the UFC. Today I read the local media, if Jeka is fighting Ki Won Bin in lightweight is a semifinal match to head to the UFC. Jeka Saragih managed to knockout Won Bin within two minutes and four-one seconds. In the final match he will be against Anshul Jubli, from India. If he wins, Jeka Saragih will get a contract in the UFC and can certainly appear in the UFC. If that happens then it is history for my country.

I really did not understand the article but good for your country for having a fighter in the UFC, We also got some UFC fighters that come here to the Philippines as well and was  Jenel Lausa back in the years 2016 until 2018, not a pretty good record but it was a great shot, after his good records in boxing he shifted to MMA and landed a contract with the UFC, until that 3 consecutive losses he shifted to Brave CF, then the recent UAE Warriors,

And the surprising thing to say is I have seen forums talking about Robbie Lawler being a quarter Filipino, and I have only realized it, well a quarter means his mother is already half Filipino, so he only got a quarter to be Filipino,

Another is Mark Munoz, who is in the middleweight division and already retired, and adding up is Brandon Vera, who racked up 4 straight wins in the UFC, but right now the only active fighter that I know right now is Mark Striegl right now another lost means he is out of the UFC, another active fighter are Josh "Kuya" Culibao that now has 2 consecutive wins on the UFC, that I think I would look forward on,

I think he is okay. But is he an UFC material?
I don't know for sure.
But I think to get into an organization like the UFC, a fighter needs to be well-balanced. But that is not the case with him. He still needs a lot of work to be done. Basically what I am saying is that he doesn't have much chance against a good wrestler.

Sure, going up to the UFC certainly goes up the quality of the match. Jeka Saragih may not currently be able to follow the style of the match in the UFC class. But I have confidence by practicing of course he can eliminate the shortcomings that exist. Naturally at the moment he is not a fighter for opponents in the UFC, but Jeka has the capital of experience. He only needs to practice on the right person to maximize his abilities. I think jeka's chances of getting into the UFC are pretty good.

Most probably Khamzat still. Makhachev really showed great skills in taking down Oliveira, not everyone can methodically grab the back of the neck of Oliveira to control him.  Khamzat will learn that too in time to fight Covington.  Going against what everybody expect will just make me lose again.

Ngannou vs Jones is really gonna be a big event.  This I think is where degens split but yes we need to see an updated info of how fit they are so a tune up for both will do.

I’ve never been a big fan of Covington and am always surprised when he wins. He wins a lot though so what do I know. I would agree that Khamzat will beat Covington but I’m glad he’s getting a real opponent. The last few opponents Khamzat fought he was basically tossing them around like rag dolls. He deserves a title fight. Hopefully Covington will be able to make it a fight, or even put down the new heel of the UFC.

I can't wait to see how Jones first fight in heavyweight division will look like, and Miocic is perfect opponent for him.

I think every fighter that is new to the UFC are all adjusting to the saddening level of that combat sport, and I think they can adapt to it when they train hard for it, if they have the mindset of wanting to be champion then they will likely do it, and for Jeka Saragih he now has 2 wins in the UFC, but those fighters are not that kind of a leveled in the UFC, he needs to prepare for the upper-rank fighter going forward,

I guess Charles Oliveira has applied the Aggressive win of Adriano Martins against Makhachev as the only lost Islam Makhachev attained which I think he likely underestimated Makhachev for that, because Islam Makhachev is a better fighter from that loss, and if he continues that kind of tactic he would likely lose again against Makhachev, on their rematch, for Chimaev VS Covington I am likely positive through Khamzat Chimaev to win,

Of course, I'm also happy that there's an Indonesian, who is going to global if he can compete in the UFC.  I heard if he could get there because there was a promoter of one of the TVs who financed him to train in the United States. DIa trains alongside UFC fighters and Cage Warrior she is also trained by Marc Fiore who is famous for having produced some great fighters.  Indeed, if he passes, of course, there are still many tasks. Jeka saragih has to keep training, I think this is normal for fighters who go into the bigger zone.

I see Andrei Arlovski fights in prelims (again in prelims). I guess that it due to record of his opponent only. For me, it is always fun to watch former UFC champions fight, specially aged fighters. I like to compare their prime and how they perform today. Btw, Arlovski is in good shape, he has 4 win in a row. Maybe next time he will get someone from top15 if he wins.

Yup me too.  Lmao.  There are lots of greasy match ups from top to bottom at the next event.  Durden vs Mota is greasy, so are Hooper vs Garcia, Holmes vs Park, Arlovski vs De Lima, Dolidze vs Holmes...  Omg all the way to the top that I don't need to post them one by one.  They're all greasy.  Betting on most of the underdogs could get you a bet or two ahead for the event.  Lol.

But yeah it's def good entertainment to see underdogs win.  Hopefully Tim Means wins his what think is his last match in the UFC.

I've checked wiki and the card of UFC 282 seems to be formed already. The fight of it will be a rematch of Prochazka and Teixeira. In addition there are a lot of other good fights that contains Blachowicz, Pimblett, Lawler, Rozenstruik, Till, Gustafsson. I just do think match makers gonna find a room for Jones and Miocic. I think the return of JJ gonna be a separate event, but if he will be in UFC 282, his fight will be lost among great card.

I am someone who believes that a competent wrestler is always going to be able to win against a capable boxer. So, I think every fighter should have some ground game in his arsenal. That's why I think he needs to improve his ground game.
Sure, he is not facing anyone who is really exceptional in the ground game at this moment but if he does end up fighting in the UFC against a fighter who is well-rounded, he is going to face some serious problems.

I agree with you that this is certainly normal when any fighter is taking a step up in his career. With bigger names come bigger challenges. The point is he will have to prove that he is worthy of that name. If he keeps training, he will surely improve in every aspect of his fight, he needs to train really hard.

Obviously, this is very short notice for Miocic. He has no intention of taking on such a fight on such short notice. So, I find it nearly impossible to believe that this fight is actually going to take place. Honestly, I'm going to be surprised if the UFC somehow makes it happen. Miocic is not stupid, he is not in the most suitable shape right now to fight a fighter like Jones. And I think he also knows that this fight is not likely to happen. That's why he is not training very seriously as well.

Kattar vs Allen, I really think that this is going to be a close fight. I am just not able to compare them. Kattar does have a height and reach advantage over his opponents in this fight. But I like the style of Allen more. If anyone asks me I think Allen is the one who has a better record in his career so far. I have not researched this fight in-depth yet. This is sort of a first impression from me about what might happen in this fight. Allen seems to have the upper hand in my opinion. He is also in a better condition than before.

There is a certain fascination to see aged UFC fighters fight. And it's encouraging to see that even though they have aged, they have not lost the skill. But at the same time, I am not very fond of these fights because they have aged and it is easy to pick up and injure.

I think there is a post on the other page on the poster fight for the upcoming fight UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen, well the juicy fight here is the Main Event for sure, Calvin Kattar VS Arnold Allen, and Andrei Arlovski VS Marcos Rogério de Lima, the rest I really don't know the history and I am not familiar, but there is one fight that was canceled Edson Barboza VS Ilia Topuria fight that was canceled because of the Knee Injury for Edson Barboza, it was a shame and Ilia Topuria just wants to fight with Edson Barboza,

I think the UFC 282 was already set for a main event Jiří Procházka VS Glover Teixeira now Jone Jones is one stuborn heck of a dude he would surely want a main event, because he is a main event of a guy and he just wants a fight that he can get a belt again, and maybe a possible remake for the UFC 283 Figueiredo VS Moreno 4 for the Jon Jones fight if he don't want to accept the fight against Miocic, could be a possibility, but I am still waiting,

Jon Jones VS Stipe Miocic really was set for the UFC 282 fight, but it was then canceled and replaced by Prochazka VS Teixeira, until the end of the year, so maybe the Jones VS Miocic fight will happen next year because I think Jon Jones had gotten the good side of Dana White and has to give him everything that he likes, but maybe you are right but not in the short notice fight I really think it was not a short notice because that fight was set on December 10, but right now I think the Jones VS Miocic will be move next year,

The UFC is a fighting game. And in the fight game, I really don't feel experience matters that much. Like the legend, Mike Tyson said, "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face".  

So, I don't think the experience will matter too much. I think the young fighter Allen is going to have the upper hand because of his speed. Kattar will not be able to dodge what his eyes can't see.

I know that I am not giving much importance to the experience. However, I have to give importance to the height and reach advantage that Kattar is going to get. These two advantages might be very helpful for him in this fight.
