There are strange pictures of Ganes right fist. Sort of a messed skin. Gane might have injured right fist, that is in a process of healing, or something is not good with it. Or this is just a bad picture or photoshop. Anyway, some people are preparing soil for excuses in media imho. As well as point on bulked Jones, on his belly.

I know the event starts soon, but I've decided against putting Viviane Araujo on my betting slip, I've actually switched to Ribas to get the decision. The only concern is Ribas tends to get dropped quite a bit in previous fights, but ultimately throws a lot of volume. I've got her at 2.50 for the decision, where as Viviane was over 3.00 via decision. I haven't changed anything else.

Valentina Shevchenko has pretty good odds for winning via decision at over 3.00, since the bookies are expecting her to finish the fight. If you guys think Grasso will be a better opponent than the odds suggest, but don't think she'll quite cut it; going for the decision for Val might be a good bet.

Likely rumours, tend to get them a lot in the bigger fights. Anyhow, damaged skin will be pretty superficial once they're in the cage.

^  I like the Shev via decision spot at 3.  I don't I've seen Grasso getting KO'd or finished via sub before.  And if she did, it must've been more than three years ago.  A safer option would be to take the over 4.5 rounds at 2.07.

Anyway, is anybody watching the event?  First match with Ribovics vs Radzhabov already a banger!  The underdog could  win here...  And there's a guy I know who's leaning towards the underdog here who's also leaning towards Neal...

What a waste. Why did she ever let go of the hand of Amanda Ribas at that last minute of the 3rd round? She could've made her tap out before the buzzer sounded. It was a good position and the crowd knew it, all she have to do was make her exhaust her energy.

Alexa Grasso versus Valentina Shevchenko is next in 5 minutes. For those who have not taken their bets yet, you still have some time.

The entire fight, the favorites were winning and i was expecting this to go throughout the card, never imagined in the wildest dream that Alexa Grasso would take Valentina Shevchenko to the ground and would choke her out. First time i noticed Valentina Shevchenko was when she fought Holly Holmes and Valentina was relatively unknown and i was not expecting Valentina Shevchenko to dominate her and ever since i never placed a bet against her and on papers she is way above Alexa in all department but she did her homework and messed up my entire parlay and lost a lot of money  .

As expected the GOAT baaaaaa, came back after 3 years and made it look like a child's play by submitting the hyped zero ground game Gane in 3 minutes. I wish to see him fight more and retire in his terms undefeated inside the cage and the post fight warning he gave to Stipe Miocic gave me chills.

As for anyone who missed the post fight media interaction, Jon Jones said he will finish Stipe Miocic and asked to take a break from fire fighting and concentrate on preparing for him to make it competitive .

It's hard to tell from those three minutes, except that John is still a very confident fighter. I expected more from Gane, after all, it was not always convenient for Jones to fight tall guys, but then everything happened very quickly. Jones initially knew that Gane was weaker on the floor and Gane himself said that he did not focus on training in this direction, and it was probably stupid to expect to beat Jones only in the standing position.

He is really the best champion to win this title and to beat his opponent like that, he is probably the strongest of all of them in their current weight division. he just played with the champion and stole that belt easily. As if he never rest for 3 years and with the added weight in him, he is so strong that he even managed to convert his weight into upgrading his signature submission technique. Without the steroid abuse in his body, he is still scary because of his techniques and I wonder how would it be for his next opponent to prepare against him. that would be a whole lot of stress for him.

Had a similar acca fail by one leg too. But it was on the main event with Jones just destroying Gane within a minute of the first round. Mine was a 25x one with only 7 matches on it so not as lengthy as yours and on another bookmaker's site.
I stayed away from those fights I wasn't 100% confident in my predictions such as the Amanda Ribas fight.
From the beginning it looked like it could of went either way.
The Alexa Grasso match was the shocker of the night for most.
I took her at the 7.60x odds because I do not see why anyone would risk anything betting on Shevchenko at such low odds for any reason.
I learnt from seeing a heavy favorite such as Valentina in a title defense bout similar to this one fall flat and get subbed in their match. Remember Amanda Nunes vs Pena?
It rang a similar tone in the way that championship bout went.

Shev, and Ricci via decision let me down for £10k. Imagine how annoyed I'm at that . Bloody, Jessica Penne, and whatever that performance was, and of course Val letting me down. Well, it wasn't too be, probably the closest I've been in a number of weeks though.

Jon Jones proved exactly what I thought of Gane, he's too one dimensional. Unfortunately, other than Pav there's not a whole lot of competition for Jon Jones in the division. Especially, since most of the others are strikers like Gane. I imagine, Jon Jones keeps the belt for as long as he wishes to stay in the UFC.

Good night of fights though, enjoyed myself. I just can't get over that Shev submission, and Ricci winning via that arm bar too. Sometimes, I hate that I go for methods of victory instead of just outright wins. Obviously, I'd still have lost the Val fight, but she was dominating up until that point.

It was a crazy UFC 285 and I was really disappointed with the Main Event, here are the result and what I think happen about the fight,

Jon Jones VS Ciryl Gane ROUND 1 SUBMISSION - LOST

Crazy fight indeed, I never expected Ciryl Gane to still have that Mental being scared about the takedowns when he fought Francis Ngannou, or he is just respecting Jon Jones so much that when he delivers a punch he then hops back so much that Ciryl Gane is creating distance between them and with this kind of pattern I have seen that he is not really ready for a wrestler If Ciryl Gane can wrestle that would be an upgrade for him but he is not really ready for this if he could add wrestling or takedowns in his arsenal that would be a new dimension for me but it could also be a double edge sword that could hurt him, but for him to be champion incorporating it would be a great decision, I was really disappointed I though that Jon Jones underestimated Ciryl Gane but I think that Ciryl Gane was the one underestimated Jon Jones,

Valentina Shevchenko VS Alexa Grasso ROUND 4 SUBMISSION - WIN

Just like I thought the champion is overconfident and with these now I have seen that Alexa Grasso is a calculating fighter and an evolving one this is the 2nd time that she wins with a submission, and with her good boxing that is dominating Shevchenko with her 1, 2, combo but that southpaw stance was just a for her to catch Shevchenko doing a spin kick, you can see her waiting for a right moment when Valentina Shevchenko is doing that spin kick, for Grasso to get her back for a rear naked choke, I was not upset with the Gane lost because Grasso has won and become the 1st female Mexican champion,

Geoff Neal VS Shavkat Rakhmonov ROUND 3 SUBMISSION - WIN

This result is really expected Shavkat Rakhmonov is a real monster, I really thought that it will be a 1st round submission but I was really sorry for Geoff Neal he can not do a thing about Shavkat Rakhmonov, even though he is able to land some few punches on Shavkat it was really evident that Rakhmonov surely have a tough chin, but yeah Geoff Neal was already bloodied before Shavkat goes into a standing rear naked choke, but even though it was standing it still got the grip in it,

before this fight started I believed that Ciryl Gane would have some chance of winning the fight, but during the fight when I saw the physique and the way Jon Jones looked, I soon realized that he didn't forget his old strategy, so I told I told myself that he would win this fight and I hadn't even paid attention that the video of the fight summary had the title that he won the fight, at which point Ciryl Gane was pinned, there was nothing else he could do but give up

And after getting some punishment like that it was almost impossible for Gane to actually get out of that submission hold. For some reason, I feel like John John was far more ready for this fight compared to Gane.

I had 2 bets on Grasso... a small one to win by submission and $16 on the win...

I feel bad that I didn't bet more on her because I was sure the odds of that submission were possible. Valentina makes a big mistake by giving her the back, Alexa didn't have to think it twice to jump on her back and make that awesome submission. It was an awesome fight, I really enjoy it. And hope to see Alexa fighting soon again, it will be hard to defend that belt.

And they thought Jones will be slower this time as he has gained weight. I was one of those who think there could be an upset to which I bet my money on Gane. He is the same guy even when he looks bigger, he doesn't grab the center of the cage but prefers to be on the sides.

It's a double loss when I see Valentina be bookies' favor. With the result, I think Erin Blanchfield can defeat Valentina I guess they may be set to fight soon.

I saw people speculated that Gane hand was possibly injured before this fight so I expected to see Jon Jones winning this fight.
He is now heavyweight champion and Stipe Miocic is probably going to be his next opponent, unless something unexpected changes.
I am really impressed with Shavkat Rakhmonov, with perfect 17-0 record he is seriously aiming for welterweight title.

I was sceptical that Jon Jones could come back after so long and take on someone like Gane but it was like he never went away. It's a real shame Ngannou has gone because who else is left in the heavyweight division that will be a challenge to Jones? It looks like they're trying to set up a fight with Stipe next for Jon but if he can take out Gane that easy in the first round Stipe wont be much of a challenge either.

Jon Jones gets the submission and I do not think Gane landed a punch? I do not know if the rumors are true about him injuring his hand but he did not look like the fighter he has been the last 2 years. He accepted the takedown and then got choked. I did not think it was tight and he just tapped. I wonder if we will hear in the next day if he had any injuries because I was expecting more from him.

I am disappointed with Jones vs Gane fight. I think I did not have enough of it. 2 minutes and it is over. This was too easy for Bones. It only showed that you can slack for years, get in the ring and win. I would say that this fight showed that Gane is way too weak against wrestling, isnt prepared, perhaps overestimated. Jon Jones is the GOAT and I do not think this looks bad on Gane. I thought it would be more competitive but Jon Jones beat people easily when he was in the ufc 3 years ago. Gane will bounce back and will probably get a chance to take the belt from him and hopefully learns how to wrestle. There is no 1 else in the heavyweight division to challenge Jones so we need Gane to do his best to try and challenge him.
