PSG, Liverpool, Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and FC Porto have won today. The victory of Ajax and Porto was unexpected for me. Because their opponents were strong. Looking at AC Milan's performance, it seems that they are not paying any attention to the Champions League. They want to focus on Serie A this season. They have lost 3 matches in the Champions League. Ajax has completely knocked down Dortmund's defense. They have scored 4 goals. PSG vs Leipzig and Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool were two very competitive matches. PSG got a chance to score another goal from the penalty spot in 90 + 4 minutes but Mbappe missed the opportunity.

Some really good matches today and most of the favorites won in this matches. PSG again struggled but was abled to win it in the end. Ajax starting to play amazing like they did a few years ago when they were in the semi final. Milan again lost and is probobly knocked out of champions league

Today all the favorite teams could not win. Atletico Madrid were the favorites in the Liverpool v Atletico Madrid match. Because Atletico Madrid won 3 of the last 4 matches against them. I was happy if the match was a draw. On the other hand, AC Milan has been defeated. At the same time, the Ajax team has a huge 4-0 victory over Dortmund. Which was completely unexpected.

I didn't follow that game and just saw the score after the end and I assure you that I double checked it before realising that Dortmund is the one that got knocked by 4 goals and not Ajax! And honestly I don't think that I am the only one doing it
So far this is the most surprising result tonight. Even Milan defeat vs Porto wasn't surprising regarding the poor performance of Milan in CL. Otherwise big scores +4 goals in almost all games except Milan's one.

Atletico Madrid gave Liverpool too much head start by conceding two quick goals at the beginning of the match and then only managed to equalize the score thanks to Griezmann's goals before the well-known events with the removal of the same player and it is still unknown how the match would have turned out without these quickly conceded goals. The favorites don't have to win every match and that's the beauty of football.

I didn't see the game, just the replay of some moves, so I can't say much, but I wouldn't take the credit off anyone...

Mbappé opened the scoring and this is very important to give the initial motivation to the team, which counts a lot for the rest of the game.

Mbappe is dangerous with his speed and he has a great goal but again he has problem with penalty. He missed many pens recently and he should not take that responsibility for a while. It will help him to regain his confidence and it is only good for him.

Mbappe and Messi have combination and goals together. They are finding each other more and PSG only need Neymar to regain his best and combine with Messi and Mbappe.

In the match, PSG defense is terrible and their system was broken too easily by Leizig. If Leizig was more lucky and Navas did not have good saves, PSG would lose this match.

Meanwhile Manchester City beat Club Brugge by a very far score, no comments here, they deserve it.

It was a must-win for Manchester City, and they went about about their business superbly and got the three points, if City had failed to win they would have put themselves in a very tight spot in that group, now City stay second in the group with 6 points, PSG on 7 points, club Brugge on 4 points and Leipzig having zero points. Manchester City and PSG are surely the teams that will go through, but Club Brugge have been pulling up surprises, but it'll not be sufficient to take them to the knock out stage of the UCL, but it should earn them a spot in the Europa league cause I'm pretty sure they'll finish the group in third place.

Having said that, PSG's performance against Leipzig last night raises doubts if they will be able to win the CL this season, they seem to have all in takes in terms of players in their squad, but they aren't playing spectacularly and I personally do not think they will win this seasons CL title, and that could prolly mean Pochettino loses his job.

Messi,and Mbape are actually blending well together.Messi was really good,giving his all for the team and ensuring they had a win there.But I never believed Leipzig could give PSG this much tough time,they really played like a team that came with a winning mindset,scoring 2goals.

A great Liverpool performance yesterday - although Griezmann's red card helped them to take the game under control. Atletico showed once again that you cannot relax against them, they will use whatever opportunities you give them. Still, scoring 3 goals against them is really hard to do - Liverpool attack is really on fire recently.

The biggest surprise yesterday was Ajax's hammering of Borussia - with Haller having another good game. I laughed at Ajax when they spent huge money on him but he's really proven to be a great buy for them so far.

I think it's safe to say that Lionel Messi has started getting some chemistry back with the PSG team. I think it's impressive that he did not show self centeredness in trying to get a hat trick to his name even with the Ballon d'or coming soon, it shows good team spirit.

Liverpool on the other hand is a world class team with the ability to cause an upset to any team home or away. Like with the level of dogged defence that Athletico Madrid has, and considering that they were home, who would have thought that they will conceed three goals. Mo' Salah deserves a pay raise for the level of quality he puts on the Liverpool side.

Yes, after the score was behind 1-2 from Leipzig, PSG's game was getting crazier because they didn't want to lose to Leipzig even though both teams had played very fiercely since the beginning of the first half, but PSG's game still dominated.

Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that there is no assigned penalty taker and they the players can discuss amongst themselves in the moment. I think the three star players are very good on penalties. It doesn't matter he didn't take the penalty and give it to Mbappe, Because he cannot decide who to takes penalty,  right? He's just a normal player, not a captain ,...not a manager who does.  Messi is so humble giving a penalty to mbappe when he only needed one goal to score a hat-trick. This is not the first time he is doing that.  I also like the link up between Messi and Mbappe and I think this can make him have a rethink about his Real Madrid move.
