What I question is whether Real Madrid and Barcelona are able to catch up from the lowest points? It's only week 21 so there's plenty left over the next week so Real Madrid can still catch up and the league will be exciting.

Given that there are still many matche that have not been played by Barcelona and Real Madrid, I think there is a possibility that they can catch Atletico Madrid's points at this point. If at the moment I only have 5 game left for Atletico, then I may no longer expect Barcelona to be at the top.
Barcelona and Real Madrid will still meet Atletico for the rest of the season and I hope that in these two game Atletico drop point. There are also some tough matche for Atletico to play going forward, so there is still hope for the current second and third-placed team to get close to Atletico's point.

Atletico Madrid are going to play an away game against Cadiz this weekend. A. Madrid are the leader with 47 points and Cadiz are the 11th with 24 points. Atletico Madrid have been winning for 7 games in the league. Cadiz won only once in the last 5 games (1W 3D 1L). Atletico defeated Cadiz 4-0 in their last game. I think Atletico will maintain their win streak by winning this game too.

I am not very sure about this game. After I saw Liverpool lost to Burnley and Manchester Utd also lost to Sheffield, I started to think maybe this can be the time for Atletico to lose an unexpected game. In the end, there is no team that is unbeatable even it does awesome in the games for too long.

I think La Liga is already finished with Atletico Madrid leading by a 7 points advantage and one more game to play than their closest competitor.

NO, you are too confident!! Mate, there are still many remaining matches and 7 points still cannot guarantee the title for Atletico Madrid. Even Atletico players are in good performance now, we don't know if there will be some players to get injured and makes everything change. Real Madrid and Barcelona also won't give up to get the title. They should do everything to win all remaining matches.

II agree that half of the championship is still ahead and unsuccessful games with direct competitors can take away this advantage and it is still too early to talk about mathematics. Also, I would not say that Real Madrid is so good this season, as evidenced by such an early departure from the national cup, like Atletico, but Atletico is still much more stable in the championship, although of course there is time to correct the situation. And let's not forget Barcelona, which is dangerous for competitors in any condition.

I agree the key is to win games from big teams, it will indirectly make Atletico Madrid win La Liga this season. But if Atletico Madrid lose to even
big teams, as long as they can win all matches against weak teams they can still win La Liga. Because the difference in points between Atletico Madrid
and Real Madrid is quite far, so it is very difficult for Real Madrid to catch points from Atletico. Moreover, Real Madrid's appearance is inconsistent
in my opinion, so my prediction is that Atletico Madrid will win La Liga this season.

Atletico Madrid loss from Real Madrid and almost big club looks difficult for Atletico, maybe when second match become hard for Atletico can win or not with big club like Real Madrid or Barcelona, but with left one match and have more than 7 points become big chance for Atletico if going on with good performance, maybe on next month when champion league begin we can see how long Atletico Madrid keep consistent with their performance.

Yeah I think the titles are generally won by teams who win against all the teams in top 4. Winning 2 games means you are 6 points ahead of all of them, while taking their goal difference down. Every team loses against the smaller teams but the point is to make that a blip rather than a regularity. Real and Barca have been doing the opposite for all teams though:)

Financial debts of big clubs are not new. It is a quite known problem for many years. They have debt for stadium constructions, transfer budget, player salary. It is common to see some clubs went from top in their national leagues to bankruptcy in a few years.

La Liga have the Super Deport (Deportivo La Coruna). Do you recalled how impressive they were in La Liga and Champions League?
Premier League have Leeds United.
Serie A have Parma, Fiorentina, Lazio, Napoli.
Bundesliga have Dortmund.

Valencia are going to play a home game against Elche this evening. Valencia are the 14th with 20 points and Elche are the second last with 17 points. Elche also have 2 games missing. Valencia won only once (1W 2D 2L) and Elche didn't get any win (2D 3L) in the last 5 games in the league. In the last 5 head-to-head games, Valencia won 3 times and Elche won twice. At Valencia, Thierry Correia, Mouctar Diakhaby (1 goal), Eliaquim Mangala, Denis Cheryshev and Kevin Gameiro (1 goal) are injured. At Elche, Fidel (4 goals) is injured. We could see a tough game but I think Valencia will manage to defeat Elche.

Half hour in Real Madrid and Levante game and we get a sent off on Miltao and a goal from Asensio after being set up from another amazing assist from the artist's Kroos .

Even with ten men Real Madrid has taking the game to Levante, casemro has been the outstanding man for me, his runs and even trying out attacking has been good, I think Levante are lucky to be drawing this one at half time although their equalizer was great, Real Madrid are missing key players that can be seen in the stands watching the game, nevertheless they should be able to mount pressure that levente will not hold in the second half.

Playing ten against eleven basically since the game has started is clearly showing its wounds now. Levante has taken the lead of the game, while Real is concentrating on defending the draw. If this is going to be the end result, Levante will confirm its role as one of the toughest opponents for RM (no wins in their last three games.)
EDIT: while I was writing, my feelings got confirmed as Levante gained a penalty kick. Only a brilliant one-handed stop from Courtois, diving to his left and sticking up a strong arm saved RM now.

Levante have scored another goal in second half and finally they have gained three points from this match. Didn't expected anything like that. Overall Real Madrid have suffered a bit after losing one player. Levante position was better in second half. Hope RM will get an easy victory against Huesca at next Saturday.

Real Madrid got a very unexpected loss against Levante today. They were so unlucky that Militao was sent off in the 9th minute of the match. They managed to score 4 minutes after it. But they got affected badly from playing with 10 players. Levante played very nicely after that and turned the game around. They also missed a penalty. Real Madrid must be very unhappy about this. Because they will be 10 points behind if Atletico win against Cadiz tomorrow.

Asensio scored from counter attack despite Real Madrid was one man down but they couldn't hold that lead much. It's always hard to play 10 vs. 11 so we can't really blame them.  Morales' half volley was quite good, Roger finished the job even though he missed a penalty.
Real Madrid hurt bad, that was an unexpected point loss. Now Barcelona have an opportunity to equalize points. Atletico Madrid fans should be very happy.

Can't say that I'm very surprised about Real loss. Yes, loss against Levante isn't something what you can expect, but such losses for Barca or Real become regular thing this season. Early red card let Levante to control the game and take deserved win.
This result gave chance for Barca to reach Real this round. We will face Athletic tomorrow, it's not going to be easy, but we have to take revenge for loss in Supercopa final.
