That's right, I'm glad to see them playing like that too. Either way, I really hope all teams can give it their best shot, despite the crazy year we and they are having. For me, Atletico will still be in first place, but you know how it is, anything can happen.

They just have to keep winning and improving with each passing game if they're serious about winning the title because Real Madrid is already picking up form and it wouldn't be too long before they take the number one spot on top of the table.  It would be interesting to see them go ahead and win the Spanish title just as they did during the 2013/2014 season. La liga has been heavily dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid in the last six years. It's time we see someone else win it.

Against Alavés, I don't think Atlético Madrid will have many problems. They have won all the last games by tearing their opponents, except for Real. In my opinion they will play just as well but I prefer not to have too many expectations, otherwise I'll bring bad luck.

Yes, Alaves can't possibly pose much of a threat from the look of things but then Athletico Madrid isn't exactly the kinda team that always come through when you think they should. However, Atlético is currently tie at the top of the La Liga table with Real Madrid so I expect them to get all 3 points and extend their lead on the table. I'm glad to see them contesting for the title this season as both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been poor this season.

ATM is a good team, they only lost 1 game, they received few goals (5) comparing to 10 for Sevilla and way more for the others, they scored also an important number of goals and classed the third after Barca and Real Madrid. All of these stats are highlighting how good ATM is, however, I still feel they need to play more offensively, to score more goals, to impose themselves as a threat for the other teams... They have an opportunity to grab that title this year and they shouldn't miss it!

This is the right time for them to chase Atletico on the top standings. Zidane should already warn all Real players to keep their best shapes and motivate them to win all the remaining matches. If Atletico misses getting 3 points in some matches, there is a chance for Real Madrid to be the winner.

Without except wit Barcelona still potential to be champion because they still looking for new way what is the best formation for Barcelona team in this season, Ronald Koeman have changed the formation from 4-4-3 become 3-5-2 and look not historically from Barcelona formation playing, but almost coach have different way with their team just how to be the winner only. I agree with you, that football or barcelona is not just about tiki-taka. Koeman should be aware of this. If in the golden era of Barcelona's tiki-taka being success, it is because coaches and players can apply it well. However, with the current squad, if it can't be forced, I think it would be better to change the game strategy. Koeman have own style to bring barcelona to their best, of course he need time, especially with current crisis in Barcelona, maybe koeman can't buy a players as he want to matching up with his strategy.

I agree with you, that football or barcelona is not just about tiki-taka. Koeman should be aware of this. @masulum Koeman is on borrowed time and after the presidential elections I’m expecting him to be immediately sacked. I also believe that Barcelona won’t buy anyone, because they’ll be keen to save money for the new coach, and sadly Koeman will never get the chance to prove that he could have change Barcelona’s fortune in the long run.

Atletico Madrid are going to play a home game against Getafe this week. They are the leader now and they share the same points with Real Madrid. They had a really nice performance on their last matches. They lost just one of their last five matches and that one was to Real Madrid. Getafe are not on their best form now and they got just one win on their last five matches. In my opinion, Atletico Madrid will take advantage of playing home and win this easily.

Same points but more goal difference AND 2 games in hand but yeah I think I always prefer being on top with more games played rather than having games in hands. Just seems to be a psychological advantage that somehow seems to work when you're on top and piling pressure on the ones below you chasing.

As per my opinion BTTS seems nice option for Sevilla vs Villarreal and Levante vs Betis even Barcelona has good chance to get 3 points by beating Eibar but it looking risky to stake amount on such low odds. I'm going to place my bet Sevilla vs Villarreal although it's hard to predict but it looking attractive to me.

Sevilla are leading in the first half with a goal from a penalty after a mistake by the defender with villareal unable to creat on goal shots it's looking difficult for them to score but maybe in the second half but only by playing better.

I have wagered on Athletico Madrid and Real Madrid and stayed away from all other games. By the looks of it it will be a weak period, and since players are going to new year break and celebrations etc, they are probably going to be thinking about that as much as possible, hell I have once seen a player fake an injury just to not be at the game and start a week long vacation in some other nation with his wife, it was a big news when it came out.

However I still wagered on these two because it looked like it would be possible to make some profit if you could combine them two, and I like to think that when you get these type of games with decent odds you take it, and it is better than not having any bet at all. Next games this weekend, I can suggest just skipping these and looking for them but that will be after the new year parties so that would be even riskier honestly.

I expected a balanced game on Sevilla-Villarreal and it looks like the match was just like that. However, Sevilla were better on finishing and won the match 2-0. Ocampos scored a penalty and En Nesyri scored the last. Now, Sevilla have the same points with Villarreal but they are one place ahead of them.

When I say Diego Costa, I say ATM. Seeing the article cited below the twitter post, he won with ATM 5 titles. Anyway, injuries, Felix and Suarez, less time to play, made things harder for him. Speculation says, he will move to EPL Arsenal maybe? or Brazil. Milik might replace him from Napoli.

Asenal is the closest to close the deal with Diego Costa, but Arsenal are not doing very good, maybe Diego Costa won't accept Arsenal's offer because of that, he doesn't only want to get paid, he wants to play too, so going to brazil is an option too.
