Barcelona really surprised me by winning against Athletic Bilbao away. They continue their unbeaten streak (7 matches) in the league. But they are aware of one thing that they are very unstable in general. I don't give them much chance to be the champions this time. Real Madrid started the season not so good too but they are not like Barcelona now and they have more chance to be the champions. In my opinion, Atletico Madrid are closer to do this if they keep up their very good performance.

Why are you surprised by this victory, shouldn't Barcelona be the team to be seeded in that match ?
They really deserved to win that game and keep this good record.

If you are not one of the Barcelona supporters, you still might not let them win the Laliga if you are the coach of the opposing team. LOL
But your opinion is still justified that Barcelona is having its ups and downs and looks inconsistent. But the last 7 games are proof that they are not finished.

I know it, Atletico Madrid still has two unplayed matches, against Athletic Club and Sevilla. The matches seem to play in the near future (tomorrow and Wed 1/13). There is no guarantee that Atletico Madrid to win all these matches. Athletic Club and Sevilla aren't small clubs in La Liga. However, even if Atletico Madrid are defeated, they are still at the top of the standings. But the point gaps will be decreasing if Atletico is defeated.

The points gap wont be decreasing, it will remain the same if Atl Madrid is defeated by Atl Bilbao and Sevilla. The correct sentence should not be like that but it will be better if you say "Athletico Madrid wont be able to increase the points gap if they are defeated. The word decrease sounds like there is a minus points for losing a game.

Isco will no longer show the game that is expected of him. And he must be urgently sold until someone wants to buy him. I just saw the odds for Sevilla vs. Real Sociedad. I understand that Sevilla has been getting better results as of late but can somebody fill me in why RS is coming as the underdog at 3.6? Any suspensions or key players unable to play from injuries or Covid?

I don't think players are free with the new coach. They are not able to openly express their problems to the coach. The coach is also not able to guide the players properly. Maybe that's why Barcelona are failing to perform as expected despite having so many talented players.

There has been an increase in the consistency of the results achieved by Barcelona in its last few matches so that third place is where they are today. That will be good and will make them even more motivated to keep fighting to end this competition as champions.

I am sure they will stay there and go to UEFA Champions as usual. It's hard to say Barcelona failed to get into the elite competition at the moment despite their many internal problems.

To be honest I would really like to see him return to Barcelona as a coach. But it is difficult for him at this time to return because it may not be the time yet. Guardiola's character is very familiar with Barcelona's style of play, he's the best in my opinion.

I think despite with Barcelona situation right now is not depend who become coach just happening with management is not get enough money to get player based on want the same technique needed by every coach, looks with Koeman he need Depay to be Barcelona player when the first time begin as Barcelona coach, but management very difficult to get Depay and not have enough money, right now have news about Barcelona financial very trouble because they have try to make away team by using bus and not by airplane again, how bad situation financial in Barcelona right now.

All three big names will probably get their games this week, it is not looking impossible at all and doing a multi will probably return a lot better. Athletico Madrid has 1.55 odds and I think that is not bad for them neither, I wouldn't probably see it at 1.7 or so, best case 1.6 and that's about it, so it is good odds.

Barcelona is at 1.4 odds and that is not looking that great, sure Barcelona is still Barcelona but we have seen how they played this year, they could literally have a draw or lose to anyone this year, it wouldn't be a shock, and 1.4 odds tells me sportsbooks are still thinking Barcelona as the best team in the league which they do not seem to be. Real Madrid Has 1.46 as well, which is not bad, not great, it looks a bit too low if you ask me. I would probably have 1.55 for RM and 1.5 for Barça if I could. The combined right now for all three makes about 3.15 as well, so that is not a bad one, but it would have been better if it was 3.5 or more.

I will be watching late tonight, but my aim in this match is to place a bet against Villareal but on the other hand it is only away so it's quite difficult also with their win Celta Vigo also have a better chance at home.

In my prediction the goals will not be much on either side but for sure I will go for Villareal at odds @ 1.7 hope this is a chance and recoup my previous losses.

Atletico Madrid are going to play a home game against Athletic Bilbao tomorrow. A. Madrid are the leader with 38 points and A. Bilbao are the 9th with 21 points. A. Madrid have been winning for 4 matches in the league. They got a shocking 1-0 loss against Cornella in Copa del Rey two days ago. But I don't think this will affect their league performance. A. Bilbao haven't a good form lately. They lost to Barcelona 2-3 home on their last match. On the head-to-head matches, we see A. Bilbao haven't got a win here since 2011. I think A. Madrid will get a clear win here.

Thank you for the correction, that's excactly what I mean. I know you know what I mean even if my sentence is not really correct. However, we don't know what the result is, let's hope what I state will come true. Since Athletic Club and Sevilla are quite strong teams, it is very possible if Atletico won't get 3 points this time.

Villarreal got a very clear win against Celta Vigo tonight (4-0). They finished Celta Vigo in the first half already. Villarreal lost just 2 times in the league so far which is really impressive. They are at the 3rd place now with 32 points. They follow Atletico and Real Madrid from a few points away. Barcelona are at the 4th place with 31 points but they have one missing match.

Can this be the weekend when we gonna see a lot of goals in LaLiga ? Because so far it's been kinda boring when it comes to show and goals.

Tomorrow, we start with almost a derby game between Sevilla and Sociedad but also a game of a really high chance for one of them to keep to top 4 place until the end of the season but this can happen if one of them will win. Then you have ATL Madrid - BIlbao , a game where both teams have a high chance to score but ATL.Madrid has a higher chance to win aswell. Then you Barca & Real with most probably a win.

Guardiola might return to Barcelona if he achieves something with City or if everything went to choas there. Dunno about other coaches but he seemed to be the best one to pick Koeman spot.
BTW, nice Villarreal! 4 goals in 30 minutes and up temporarily to the 3rd rank, we will see tomorrow if Barca will claim it back or not
