Real Madrid will focus on the Champions League. This has already happened. They were 10-13 points behind Barcelona and won the Champions League at the end of the season. But now they are unlikely to succeed. Those who want to win a lot more. And other teams have more strength  will be.

Real Madrid has a DNA to win Champions League. They are the trophy record owner of Champions League with total trophies they won (13 titles). Recall that it takes them 14 years to get their Decima (10th title) from the previous title in 2002 with the amazing volley of Zidane.

With their quality and the power of Bayern Munich, I don't see how Real Madrid can win the title in this season. It is impossible task for them.

They will have to focus to get a spot in top 3 of La Liga to have a direct spot to Champions League 2021 - 2022.

I very much doubt that Real Madrid will even make it to the top four. With such a game, at best, 5-6 place. Since so many strong teams have appeared in La Liga. Sevilla, Valencia and Athletic Bilbao will fight for getting into the Champions League. Real Madrid do not have a squad to play at a level in La Liga and Champions League.

I still wouldn't write off Real Madrid. They lose games when Ramos isn't around (which isn't a good thing of course) but he'll be back and with new contract they have time to find someone else to partner with him. They play like sheep at the back without him, good for us we're back on level terms, Atletico we have to hope they slip up but imagine a CL/La Liga double for them!

In Champions League, it is for moments and Real Madrid can win it if they have some excellent moments and enough luck. However, you are right that they are not enough competitive this season.

Zidane if he is sacked, is only a mean of President to hide the flaws in Real Madrid squad. The squad need to be rebuilt and the new manager will struggle to build it up from scratch, and look at Koeman in Barcelona, it takes 2 seasons maybe. Koeman in Barcelona can not help them to be competitive in his first season as Barcelona's coach.

Villarreal are going to play an away game against Elche this weekend. Villarreal are the 5th with 35 points and Elche are the second last with 17 points. Villarreal didn't lose (2W 3D) and Elche didn't win (1D 4L) in the last 5 games in the league. Villarreal got a draw in their last 3 games. Elche have been terrible in home games (1W 5D 4L). In the last 5 (official) head-to-head games, Villarreal won 2 times and the rest of the games ended in a draw. At Elche, Fidel (4 goals) is still injured. At Villarreal, Juan Foyth, Gaspar Mario, Samuel Chukwueze (1 goal), Iborra, Yeremi Pino (1 goal) and the most scorer Gerard Moreno (10 goals) are injured. Villarreal couldn't manage to beat them in the first half of the league (0-0) but I think they will want to play better this time and beat them.

Actually Real Madrid are still not in a bad situation this season. Atletico Madrid are the unbelievable team. They are having a season like Liverpool had in the last season in the Premier League. It is really very hard to catch up with them for now. I think that Real Madrid need new faces at the team. If they make the right transfers for the next season, I believe that they will be much better than now.

Atletico are getting closer to the championship. I wonder what will happen in the next Atletico-Real and Barcelona-Atletico games. If the things go like this, Atletico won't have difficulty in being the champions even they lose to Real and Barcelona though.

Yes. The league table is quite revealing. Atletico have played half their games, 19/38, and they've dropped 7 points in total. Same again in the second half of the season, and even if Barca and Real win all their games, Atletico are still champions.
It's not just that they've got a 10 point lead, it's that their record in the first 19 games is close to faultless. They're not dropping enough points to be caught.

Agreed with you Atletico is playing well managed game and their strategy is paying off for them till now. It seems they will get succeed to keep occupy on the top position through out the whole season even at the moment it's hard to say how they will perform in future. But both teams Barcelona and Real Madrid are not showing the great result like the last season that is why it becoming easy for Atletico Madrid to win the title in current season.

For Real Madrid, I'd like to say that Zidane has managed the team for 5 seasons and this is the 6th season of him. He still has one more year on his contract. In this time period, Real Madrid won La Liga 2 times, Supercopa 2 times, the Champions League 3 times and the UEFA Super Cup 2 times. There are some speculations like he will get sacked. But I don't support this idea and I think they should move on with him.

Tomorrow games there is favorites teams to win imo: Villareal (vs Levante) + Barca (vs Granada) + Bilbao (vs Betis). Yep, that's why I said Real Madrid missed a key player in the front line. Ronaldo is the previous key player there. After he left, Hazard is expected to replace the role but unfortunately, he can't. On the other hand, we cannot expect too much on Benzema because he also needs a proper partner in the attacking line. Hazard still cannot show his best performance because he still has difficulties cooperating with all players there. He also may need a longer time to adapt to the Madrid football style.
