Previously, Toni Kroos had received another season's contract extension until 2024 and yesterday Luka Modric also received the same thing, so we will still see the two Real Madrid veterans do one last dance next season. As the only surviving Ballon D'or winner in Europe, this is certainly a good example and even at almost 38 years of age, Luka Modric is not tempted to join a Saudi league team.

I'm quite happy to see the voting board in this thread has been updated. But looking at the results of the temporary voting, it seems that Barcelona will still gain more confidence in securing the title again in Laliga next season.
I personally also chose to vote for Barcelona. Last season I chose Real Madrid if I remember correctly. But this season I have doubts with Real Madrid who have even lost Benzema. even though they have brought in a striker to fill the void left by Benzema. but I don't think Real Madrid has yet to get a player who can replace Benzema's role.

It is reported that Mbappe may come this season to Real Madrid to fill the Real Madrid front line so that he remains sharp. I look forward to hearing more about this. So if Mbappe really comes to Real Madrid. then maybe Real Madrid will be seeded again.

Also, it seems that Real Madrid has always had great players from Brazil, so it's no wonder that Vinicius Junior can continue to grow and develop very well at Real Madrid. I personally firmly believe that Vinicius Junior will stay at Real Madrid for a long time and yes, at least I know that this will happen. So, with news like this, at least I personally am no longer surprised because of course, Real Madrid will be willing to keep a young player with great potential like Vinicius Junior.

The deal has not been signed yet though, but it has been agreed between both parties. It just a matter of time before it will be singed.
It was so certain Vinicius wont be leaving Madrid. Madrid would never allow that, not for anything. Vini is among the the three best players in his position right now and any club that has him would not let him go as far as they can afford to keep him.  Most of Madrid's attack comes through Vinicius, it would be a shame to let that kind of player go.

With Mbappe, things will be easier for Madrid, but he would have to play the central forward position or left wing because no coach will bench a player like Vinicius. Not because hes better than Mbappe, but because he too good to be on the bench and the only wing he can play is the left wing.

I would even say that two out of those four chances were a 100% goal missed. A realistic result after 50 minutes would have been 5-2 for Barcelona. Then it was a header that gave Bayern the lead. That is how games can develop, but Barcelona did not play bad at all. They dominated in all respects except for goals scored.

I do not think that it was an intentional thing, like "oh he didn't play well against his old club" type of thing, he was just unlucky that day, it wasn't as much emotions as it was more about pressure because he was expected to carry the scoring load on a team he just got there and to be fair he wasn't used to it just yet.

Barcelona is still a great club and they will do fine, as long as they do not lose any big names, and they already got Ilkay, I feel like they do not have to really do anything else at all, they can just start the season all over again this season with last years team plus Ilkay and they would be good enough. Not really sure if that would be that hard or easy to handle but I bet that it is going to be a fine deal in the end.

The discussion was about Barcelona's Champions League season and whether they sucked from game 1 until the last game and I said that that wasn't the case. Their game against Bayern Munich was strong and on a good day they beat Bayern with three goals difference in that game. I wasn't blaming Lewandowski at all, there were several players who didn't convert their chances into goals and then Bayern had the lucky end on their side. That is how the games can go.

I'm not sure what will happen next season. If possible, I hope Barcelona can also bring in other players this season to strengthen their defense. The right-back has changed a lot and they have to have good players there, not Araujo or Kounde. Xavi is aware of his team's current weaknesses, but with Barcelona short on cash it's clear he will have to adjust things accordingly. Barcelona's strategy in player transfers can be said to be good, but sometimes some old players are more easily injured so they can't always be relied on.

Finances make it impossible for Barcelona to get quality players with big salaries because it will fix the club and maybe they can take an alternative like they did with Ilkay Gundogan. Barcelona are good in La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup but many people hope they can improve from season to season.
