I think Luka Modric won't go to Saudi Arabia after the end of his contract with Real Madrid either. I expect him to retire after having his last season here. He can even retire from national football as well at the same time. It just feels like Modric could have gone to a Saudi Arabian team or an MLS team maybe already. Because he is really old now.

Of course it is still admirable to see him being able to play for 120 minutes despite his age. We saw this in the Nations League you know. But he doesn't seem interested in going to a team outside Europe for now.

It would be good if Luka Modric ended his career after playing in Saudi Arabia like Ronaldo and Benzema, as I believe that there will be a team in Saudi Arabia that will be interested in him. He may retire at any time or when he turns 40, but he is currently 37. He may still perform better than some of the younger players on the field.
I believe he can still perform, but seeing him in Saudi Arabia will excite many people, including the team's fans. Luka Modric will never forget a team called Real Madrid; he is one of the heroes who made the team what it is today by being the highest team to have won the Champions League globally.

Luke Modric is currently one of the best player in Real Madrid, and he already spends is very long career here 12 years and now suddenly having extension of one year which is just because Real Madrid management wants new youngster have some good technique from him and also playing with player like him also give them good experience with next year he will be nearly 39 and most chances he will not try to have contact in Saudi Arab because he already spends his career best years in this club which won many titles and now suddenly departure of Karim Benzema is also having bad impact on them, so they are trying to have few better things which helps them in this current season and they Real Madrid will be able to have better things in future.

His success last season was because Xavi brought Barcelona to win the league even though Barcelona failed in the UCL, but it looks like Xavi still has another chance to show his quality as a coach for Barcelona, especially now that there are already several new players to fill the Barcelona squad. in order to be able to compete next season both in the domestic league as well as the UCL. with Gundogan joining maybe it will give color to Barcelona as well.

In terms of experience Barcelona is losing some of it and gaining some of it. With Busquets leaving some of the experience and legacy within the team is going away, but Gundogan will be a good and refreshing replacement as he is a almost 2.5 years younger than Busquets and he is a more offensive player with qualities both in giving assists and scoring himself. I mean 44 goals in 188 games as a midfielder for Manchester City is strong! Busquet's role was kind of different, but there is also a significant overlap between his responsibilities on the field and Gundogan's responsibilities.

Busquets is one of Barcelona's most intelligent midfielders, even if I'm not mistaken, Pep had previously wanted Busquets to play at the Etihad Stadium. however, he remained with Barcelona. at the start of last season, before that Busquets had experienced a decline in performance. however, since Xavi has played Busquets partnered with De Jong. these two players complement each other. a weak side of Busquets that has suffered a decline due to age, was closed by De Jong as his partner as the pivot.

Now Busquets has left and instead, Xavi brought in Gundohan. this player, almost has the same characteristics as Busquets. Gundohan is also a smart player, plus he has the advantage of being able to play in various positions. I think you are right, but it is still surprising that Guardiola let Gundogan go at his peak or it could be that Gundogan really asked Guardiola to give him the chance to try out something new in La Liga and fulfill one of his final dreams. We don't know the exact details as to why he left Manchester City. It was said that they didn't offer him a two years contract, but telling from the words Gudogan chooses and the fotos he posts, I think it was his serious desire to go to Barcelona instead of City not offering him a proper contract.

If i am not mistaken Xavi has a contract until 2025 which mean he will be at Barcelona until summer 2025 and for time being Barcelona will rule out to talking about Xavi contract because this summer their focus is to buy new players and apparently Xavi has agree about that because his priority now is how to build Barcelona became an much better and performing well at Laliga and Champion league and maybe after end of next season contract extension will be discuss and Barcelona confident Xavi will be not leave and he will accept their proporsal and Xavi too will ensure he doesn't want to train other team besides Barcelona because he love this team so i think Barcelona fans shouldn't be worried about this because Barcelona will always be Xavi main priority

Most chances we will have extension in contract with this current is going to end 2024, and they already have good result after end of second year, and they won title now they have Champions League even this is tough task, and they need to have good relationship between all parties which will help for having better results he is just 43 years old and this is his second managerial job after having two years in Qatar things are in favor of him and board will decide in coming weeks about all details.

Traditionally they need to give him another three years old contract because with this most chances they will be able to bring better results and his grip will be also strong on current squad which will win again La Liga title and have good result in Champions League now in this season they need to be improved in Champions League after having the worst result in last season.

Big clubs don't only target the local league, they always have the ambition to win the Champions League. Barcelona is on a path that can take them further in the Champions League, I can't say Barcelona can win the Champions League anytime soon because they are building a stronger team. It is very sad to see the fate that Sergio Ramos experienced when he left PSG but it was difficult to find another team that would accept him because with his old age several teams in La Liga might think twice about accepting him to be added to the defense. but sadly I haven't heard any rumors from any La Liga team that has interest in signing Sergio Ramos and as far as I know only a team from saudi arabia has rumors about signing him.

I think even if Modric does get a contract extension for another season his role will not be as important as last season. Surely Modric understands exactly what the club needs and maybe we will see Modric come on as a substitute more often in the second half. For now the starter midfielder position will be completely filled by young players such as Valverde, Bellingham, Camavinga, Brahim Diaz, or Tchouameni and while Kroos or Modric will take turns to strengthen the midfield when needed.

Now we try to think rationally, if for the next season Ancelotti continues to install Modric and Kroos because they are considered experienced, then when will we see this new regeneration show its performance if it doesn't start now and therefore Modric or Kroos will have less minutes to play.

Real Madrid doesn't need to extend Modric's contract, because Modric also still has one season left until the end of next season or in June 2024. Therefore, with Modric's age being very old, for me it is not feasible for Modric to get a contract extension. Also, if you compare young players with less experience, because in the Real Madrid squad they still use Modric as an experienced player. Because after all, if young players are given more time to play, in the end these young players will get a good experience too, right.

Ramos at 37 should just go and get his "retirement pay" at Saudi... Nothing to chase anymore when you already won everything... I would love that see that sorted before the start of the Pre season, I really want to see Barcelona defending and winning the La Liga Competition once again.
