The group stage of the UEFA Champions League competition is over and Europe's biggest club competition will make a return in February next year which will give Real Madrid enough time to fight for the top spot of the Spanish La Liga. Girona has surprisingly been the most consistent team in the league this season even when they don't have a much quality players like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and are very determined to finish the season with the Spanish La Liga title.

Real Madrid's only problem since the start of the season is the fact that they failed to sign a recognized top striker last summer after their former captain Karim Benzema left the club but with the formation that's been adopted by the club manager Carlo Ancelotti, I'm very optimistic that the Spanish giants are gonna reclaim top spot before February that the UEFA Champions League competition will return. Jude Bellingham who has been the club's most important player since the start of the season isn't an injury prone player and doesn't look like who's going to suffer fatique anytime soon. By the time the UCL returns next year, the favourites to win the Spanish La Liga title might be narrowed down to two or at maximum three clubs and I'm very optimistic that Real Madrid will be one of them.

Yes, Real Madrid are one team that will be wanting to secure the league this season and yes, they are having a difficult time this season due to injuries but with the break from the UCL it’ll give them a good run for the league title and help them secure their spot well on top of the league, yes these  Girona is one team trailing them but I think they won’t have the strength to match Real Madrid especially in terms of quality players and squad depth.

Though Real Madrid have been so resilient in their performance so far but I don't think they may be able to win the la Liga this season reason being that they're competing in the Champions league and also their domestic league so a time will come when fatigue may start affecting most of their players due to playing too many matches just within a few interval of days so at that time they will start dropping in form thereby giving other title contenders the opportunity to overtake them and possibly win the la Liga title.

Today's games were kind of tricky to predict. I didn't know what team or options to bet on,

I agree that the combination of fluctuating teams make it very hard to predict the winner in this avoid to bet on matches if we can say that. The only exception might be Atletico Madrid since it is way favourite than Getafe and the hardest to predict is Rayo Vallecano match against Valencia because the two teams are close to each others, yet Rayo Vallecano lost with one goal in their home.

Fortunately for Sevilla, they're not going to have any problems today from Granada. Sevilla is 2- nil up in the first half and except a very funny drama happens in the second half, 3 points is sure for Sevilla. I wish I had taken the risk to bet on Sevilla.

Granada continues to have a very bad performance that started already from the previous season at least and apparently this time they will not escape the relegation for real. Sevilla which is fluctuating and barely winning, are already 3 points ahead of them after 50 minutes from the start of the game..

In other news, Atletico seem to understand the assignment. I played them to win and they're winning. Although things might get tricky in the second half because Savic has received a second yellow card and he's out of the game.
Knowing Atletico Madrid, they would go into full defense mode in the second half. I'm hopeful because the goal came after the red card, meaning they can still score even if they're a man down .

Well Atletico Madrid were leading with 1 goal before Getafe getting the draw few minutes ago. Playing with 10 players will make the game more complicated, yet I think Atletico Madrid could win this match.

Girona will not be slowing down, will they? They don't look like a team that would let anything stop them. They're so determined.
I must confess that I was one of those who never gave them a chance in the beginning. I have been following the La Liga for a while now and it was not the first time a team climbs to the top of the table, so I was not convinced by Girona, but as time went by they began ti convince me one game after the other.

Yes, right now they are truly Unstoppable. It seems like you're not the only one who feels that way. I'm sure many people, including me personally, are also very surprised by how Girona is progressing. In the last season, Girona was never even a team worth considering and I myself never even focused on this team. However, when suddenly Girona was able to reach the top and continue to consistently be in the top position or runners up in La Liga this season, I was really interested and curious about what group Girona was actually like and what about their squad. and it turns out that the strongest ones are not the famous ones or consist of the world's top players, right? but their coach can really manage and optimize all their strengths, unite them solidly and motivate them very well so that they are always on fire and motivated to win without any heavy burden on them. This is truly amazing. Even though in the end Girona did not hold the La Liga trophy and they were able to enter the UCL, this was a very good achievement for them.

Currently Atletico Madrid is playing against Getafe. I think that Atletico Madrid can beat Getafe. but unfortunately their team got a red card in the 30th minute. so this will definitely affect their performance. Luckily after that they were also able to score one goal. Well at least this isn't bad enough. But that didn't last long because Getafe were also able to equalize one-on-one until now it's still the same. This is a quite dangerous position for Atletico Madrid because the match is still quite long and anything can happen, especially since they are only playing with 10 people.

This season, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are not much different at all. If you say Atletico Madrid is better, then look at their statistics so far. Barcelona has only suffered 2 defeats in 17 matches, while Atletico Madrid has suffered 4 defeats. If Getafe is really able to make changes to today's match, then it is not impossible that Atletico Madrid will suffer 5 defeats.

I'm not worried about Barcelona even though I don't expect them to defend the title this season. Real Madrid is a team I expect to win the La Liga title after they failed last season, but this season is still very long and everything can still change.

Xavi's scheme is not wrong, he knows that this scheme is a scheme that is good enough for Barcelona especially this is their hallmark in competing but I also agree with what you said because for now Xavi's scheme is still very lacking and cannot be applied properly to the current players especially since clubs in La Liga already know very well what they have to do because they just have to continue to defend and wait for the momentum when Barcelona makes mistakes in their attacking patterns.

Atletico Madrid were really unbalanced in their game in this match because the red card received by Savic made them unable to defend well when Getafe attacked. Maybe this result is quite fair for both teams because Atletico Madrid played with 10 players which means they have to accept the result of today's match by winning 1 point. Even though their strength is stronger, the opposing team is superior in number of player, so it will hinder them when the opponent starts to put pressure.

I agree with you that Atletico madrid shouldn't regret a draw in this match because they could have lost if they couldn't break down several good chances that Getafe had. Griezmann did succeed in making the stadium roaring when he managed to break into Getafe goal, but that disappeared because Getafe was able to turn things around to a draw until the end of the match.

This is not the Atletico Madrid I know because alot have changed. What happen to the defensive strategy executed by Diego Simeone today? Atletico Madrid are gradually losing points and dropping from the key phases this season, however bouncing back have remain constant for Atletico Madrid, more reason for the fans to doubt their club's energy in matches and expectations will definitely cut shorten. Atletico Madrid vs Getafe ended in a dissapointing 3-3 draw. A game that's been declared Los Colchoneros as the winners, only for me to come back and watch and see thus surprising results.

Of course a red card can always greatly contribute to a defeat, but we are still talking about Atletico Madrid vs. Getafe and this is not to disrespect Getafe, but this game wasn't lost due to the red card. This game was lost because Atletico Madrid surprisingly messed up to play with the time during the final phase of the game. Everyone knows that this is one of the things that Atletico Madrid loves the most. Waste time, pretend to be injured, bring on new players, receive yellow cards for other shenanigans and now it was them who wasted a two goal advantage. Kind of hilarious.

I don't have lots of information about Atletico Madrid but I know Barcelona got many injured players during this season and this team is not in a good situation and you saw that in the last games we saw from Barcelona, while were expecting to see a good performance from this team like the last season but Barcelona totally ailed.
Now it seems their effective player, Pedri is injured and he can't play for his team for a long time. Xavi should give Pedri three weeks to get back in the good form and get recovered,

I know the pressure is on Girona because some fans would like to see them progress and some would like to see them fail, it will only be a pressure on Girona only if they let it get to them. Betis and Atletico Madrid can be the teams to make them fall out but I believe when the time comes they can even beat both teams while waiting for the return leg of Madrid and Barcelona, because to me I see Madrid and Barcelona as the only clubs to give Girona a though time.

I believe that with the present performance of both present competitors Bentis and Atletico Madrid and for sure Girona will have an advantage over both of them when next they face each other in the next leg,  when it comes to football we can't 100% give a club sure winning when the match has not been played because a lot can happen within the 90 minutes plus of the game.

At the beginning of first half Atletico was performing well they even several times to threaten Getafe defensive lines but everything was change when Savić got red card because Savić is a defender player and losing him will greatly affect to the performance of Atletico although Simeone made a change with played César Azpilicueta as defender to replace Savić position i think it was late because Atletico have lost the rhythm of their game however this is Atletico postponed match but unfortunately they were failed to utilized this match to cut their difference points with Real Madrid

For other match after through an 10 matches without the winning results on Laliga finally Sevilla can able return to the winning ways after beat Granada with final scores 3-0 and this is debut match for Sevilla new manager Quique Sanchez Flores he was replace Sevilla previous manager Diego Alonso however Quique Sanchez Flores was train Getafe on 2015 and at that time he was successfully to save Getafe from relegation zone and this winning result is good start for Sevilla and probably he can do the same thing and save Sevilla from relegation zone too

This season, all the teams that have competed against Girona admit that Girona is a tough opponent. Even though Real Madrid was able to beat Girona in the previous match, Girona really made it difficult for Real Madrid to win. Meanwhile, there are only 3 teams who are able to prevent Girona from getting maximum points in 17 matches and only 1 of them is able to beat Girona.

This is one of the best seasons Girona has had in La Liga. They lead the standings with a 2 point advantage over Real Madrid and 9 points from Barcelona. This is the best way to prove that not all poor teams deserve to be underestimated in a competition, so that in the end Girona's performance deserves to lead the standings.

This means that the only team that has been able to beat Girona this season is only Real Madrid, while the other teams until now have not been able to and have only been able to draw so they share points.
We know Barcelona are a big and tough team but Girona being able to beat them is something of a big surprise especially now adrift of points away from Barcelona which I said it would be difficult to pursue.

It seems that this season will belong to Girona even if it doesn't miss until the end of the year, I don't know if after the half-season break there is no decline we don't know about that yet but I believe Girona can still maintain their performance.

I am really surprised to see how Girona I used to play in a gamble to lose is proven to be a serious La Liga title contender this season. If Girona beats Real Betis in Betis home, then I will say Real Madrid has a long way to go in winning the La Liga title this season.

for me, it seems like you can't just judge from the current point of view and Girona is just a mediocre team who is lucky to be having quite good performance because they are taking advantage of the busy situation of big teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona who are focused on the UCL while in the next few weeks the big teams this could focus more on La Liga and this means that Girona could be displaced because Girona does not have enough experience to be at the top of the standings in terms of strategy Girona will not be able to stay at the top of the standings for long.
we can see later what will happen, but what is certain is that currently Girona is only a challenger at the top of the standings and is not part of the candidates for the La Liga title.

in the upcoming match we will see how the position in the standings develops because Girona faces a team that will beat them. They might not have the experience but there's always a first time I must tell you, to be honest with you I think taking advantage of the fact that Barcelona and Real Madrid are busy with Champions League that's what's keeping their hope alive. You would have said this next season, let's say Girona some how won the league title, you'd agree with me that their form won't be the way we're seeing it now, because too many engagement would cloud them to the extend that fatigue would hit on them.
I don't see anything special about Betis as they go head to head against Girona, in that encounter I feel the league leaders would be victorious in that fixture.
