After one trouble after another it was time for something different, so one of my psu of SP30 has been died. Its a new unit only 2 months old. I cant contact spoondolie I think as I had buy it from ebay. Any suggestion how to get a new psu? Can I just use some other psu like EVGA 1300? I can make the right cables.
any suggestion is welcome. thanks.
Generic PSU will only work if you set 'generic psu' flag in /etc/mg_generic_psu. We had insisted on some bug fixes to the stock emerson fw. Without it you must use it as generic. Ask on forum from people who did it.

Anyone have experience asking spondoolies to ship the miner from their USA datacenter? It's been 10 days since I paid for the shipping and the miner is still in their hands, and plugged out. That's $120 out the window. Unacceptable tardiness.
Still nothing, this is ridiculous. 17 days since the miner should have been shipped, and no reply from support after three enquiries. Are spondoolies mining with my unit? At what point can I demand compensation for the downtime?

notice how quick they are to respond to posts here??? unlike the much preferred 'email support@'
After all the back & forths - Apr 16, 10:50
Dear Ed,
We have reviewed your situation (DOA board was in fact DOA) and would like to resolve the issue with your machine by sending you a fully tested SP20 (weeks later). This will save going back and forth (seriously???) about the different parts(more than we already have).
I know you already sent the management board (amazing). Please ship the machine back to us at our cost and we will send you a new (newly 'repaired' after being RMA'd) machine.
(make sure you send it first though, and wait..... because we dont trust you not to rip us off somehow & need to scrape every penny we can)
ugh..
notice i didnt even mention the 150USD coupon they cant wont honour, despite repeatedly trying to squeeze ridiculous amounts of USD out of me (and others) at every 'opportunity'...
Did Bitmain take over or something??
not even a fkn t-shirt!!
Nor an apology...

With recent bitcoin action seemingly confirming the continuing collapse in usd/btc prices does Spondoolies still plan on introducing new mining hardware this year ?

One of my 4 SP20e recently behaves curiously.
They miner were shut down for about 4 days. I just plugged out the ethernet cables. Since yesterday I put them on again. 3 Started without any issues. One of them keeps rebooting. It seems that it finishes booting, but it somehow cant connect to the network. I already changed the ethernet cable but it wont help. When booted, the green LED is blinking fast. It starts with the same noise fan as I saved it too, but it doesnt mine. It also wont show up in myminer.io.
I dont know what to do?
Also I dont have a SD card here right now..

For how much you complained here .. I would do the same like them, if I were in their shoes. If you were easier to work with, then maybe yes, .. a happy word/thing here and there ..

If you get some, I want a mercedes .. and it must be diesel.

Thx for your input, whooper. 816 hours downtime so far... For the treatment i have received I can assure you i have kept my 'complaining' to an absolute minimum! If i was not treated so poorly, what indeed would i have to 'complain' about?? kind of twisted logic, whooper. hardware fails - its understood. Unhelpful & costly attitude is easily avoidable, yet persists! getting ignored by 'support@' leads one to voice ones dissatisfaction elsewhere & louder until it is resolved... here! 816hrs... ! E2A - Anyone wanting to buy a 'new' SP20E sent direct from Israel, I may be able to accommodate. If SP-T would prefer to 'buy it back', that is also preferable.

i guess we can say goodbye to ''home'' miners like sp20 SFARDs seems to be aiming at making at least one home miner using a single of their SF3301 chips. Avalon has plans to make a 100Gh/s device based on their upcoming chip. GekkoScience are aiming at making home miner designs based on Bitmain's BM1384 chips. "home" mining isn't dead yet. ( the usual caveats apply )

I still hold out hope in my mind that SP next gen will be able to run at home. I'm willing to put in 240 for it to run . I think we will see SP in the mix just possibly at a place that takes 240. (And I'm just speculating I have no info/idea just hope)

I'd take the SP20E, never bought directly from Spondoolies. Only picked up second hand SP20Es, would like a fresh one.
