make the price $4995 and limit the purchase per buyer to perhaps max 5.
that's comparable to group buy of 50 units in what way? Put the 2 Unit SP10 Bundle for Sale for $4000 for the 1st 100 Customers and limited to 1 Bundle per Customer, you will see how fast they sell.
why don't they just give 'em all away for free? only then will you be content. I am looking at it from a business point of view, supply and demand, the fact that they did not sell out of SP10 machines should tell you something, I feel the prices for SP10's 2 Unit Bundle is still high, that's all, it's all business, how could they do this Group buy from 12K to 5K on August SP30 machines, perhaps they know that the Group Buy will not be successful since more than 250 machine has to be sold. it's true. bullshit baffles brains. too bad as they truly have the best piece of gear on the market and can be selling it right now. for the 3200-3800 price range right now.

Before the Group Buy they already offered Farmer's Choice where you could buy 3 x SP30 for 21000$ and with 10% reduction with proof or ordering from another manufacturer you would be at 6333$ per unit. The 5k isn't so far from 6333$. Simple math. I don't understand why people don't see every fact and they are stuck on something which sometimes is wrong.

With logic like this you can see why we have conflicting views on the subject of difficulty increases.

The never ending debate as a manufacturer - volume or price. It is hard (almost impossible) to have both in a "normal" marketplace...
Lay that on top of a incredibly dynamic market and I do not envy Gadi and the marketing side of this ASIC mining business.

Buy the 2 X SP10 Bundle (8K$), apply the 10% coupon and you get to 3,600$ Right Now you could buy Antminer S1 for about $420 per unit with Free Shipping, overclock it to 200GH, buy 7 of them for $2940 which would equal to one of your SP10, you could hash in about 3-4 days from the time you order, When I said you should sell the 2 unit sp10 for about $4000, I was discounting the 3-4 difficulty increases, like I said it's all about business sense, the additional power should be minimal.

This is exactly what I mean. it is really simple business. all 1th units pretty much suck. basically they have crap psu's> this company makes a superior product a 1.4th machine it uses less power per watt and truly works well. so at some price 3200 plus shipping to 3800 plus shipping they turn a profit. So just do it. No person in their right mind should buy a sp30 for August delivery. Not when the sp10's could be sold NOW or close enough to now at a good price. Look here is my background accounting degree. worked for the irs . and back in the day I was in the US Navy as a computer tech. This company is misguided on the business side not the tech side and doing us no favors pushing the sp30 for August. Not when they have proven they build the highest quality 1.4th machine right now. Very frustrating to read about a piece of gear that works great is better then any another item available and they do not want to sell it. they could sell 1000's of 1.4 th machines yet they want you to buy a 5.4 th machine for august.

Agreed. I would definitely buy a few SP10 units if they shipped immediately and were priced under 6BTC ($3000).
I don't see any profit margin for miners who pay 8 BTC for each SP10 ($4000) and won't receive them for a least two difficulty increases when the next batch ships in May.
I like the Bitmain model of having reasonably priced, in stock products that ship immediately much better than the pre-order model.
I agree with other posters that Spondoolies-Tech has a winning product in the SP10, so make them as fast as you can and sell them at a reasonable price...

The other thing to keep in mind is that companies rarely knock it out of the park twice in a row, so you have to strike while the iron is hot. I'm sure Spondoolies-Tech intends for the SP30 to be a great product, but shit happens and delays kill great products all the time in the mining industry.
Knc knocked it out of the park with the Jupiter, but the Neptune has been a disaster.
In my opinion, Spondoolies should make and sell as many SP10 miners as they can while they have the best product on the market, because competitors can and will catch up quickly...

Folks, as I'm sure Spondoolies-Tech knows, in business it is a lot easier to lower your price than raise it. I have no doubt prices will come down once the low fruit is in the basket. Of course, as we all know, the difficulty increases as time goes by so ...

Back that up with a refund or compensation policy. It costs you nothing if you ship on spec and on time. Talk is cheap.
