The performance of Arsenal was really amazing this week and they scored five goals in this match against Burnley. Burnley is not strong team but they were not weak enough to get this result too. I think with this result Arteta gave a warning to other teams like Macnshter City and Liverpool about the strong forwards and attacks they can have.
Scoring five goals in a game is obviously not something cheap and this can even make Arsenal to have better motivation.

It's also losing three points again and this is the worst performance in strasbourg. Still a half time for this match. Im doubting stras will able to equalize the score against lorient. Im seeing that if stras will be going down even deper to the bottom standing.

If I'm not mistaken, Mbappe was rested from the start because he was tired after playing against Real Sociedad in the Champions League a few days ago and actually this was also part of Luis Enrique's strategy so that his star player could do something in the second half. Initially there were no problems at all since the match started but until the end of the first half the score was still zero.

Before it was too late, in the second half PSG increased the intensity of their attacks and this was proven by the first goal scored by Lucas Hernandez which put PSG in the lead temporarily. On the other hand, Luis Enrique finally changed his player rotation by including other core players such as Dembele, Hakimi and Mbappe. It's quite clear that Luis Enrique is not quite happy with this narrow lead because after all, winning is definitely very important for them even though they are already far ahead of Nice. Nantes is actually a weak team and if you look at their quality they are far below PSG but we can see for ourselves that PSG has quite a hard time facing them with their substitute players and this clearly proves that the PSG team is quite dependent on its main squad, maybe if it was in Ligue 1 it wouldn't be a problem. but on the European stage this would be quite detrimental to the team.
And it must also be admitted that Mbappe's influence on PSG's front line is quite large and I can't imagine what PSG will be like next season if Mbappe is no longer there.

The home team had more possession of the ball but the away team was more successful in creating good chances and of the 6 chances created, half of them became goals, showing that Lorient played better than their opponents.
My prediction is that this will be Lorient's win and Strasbourg will try to catch up and the final score will be 3-2, and if they win this will be Lorient's second win in an away match because they are not that good in away matches.

After Nice lost from Lyon i think it's good chance for Monaco to taking over 2nd place from Nice because mathematically if Monaco can gets the winning results from Toulouse then they will have 41 points which mean 2 points above to Nice and today it's clearly they are the favourite but Monaco has interesting records at home because unlike other big teams who very strong during playing at their home but Monaco is different because this season Monaco was gets 3 loses from home matches which mean although this is home match for Monaco but there is no guarantee they will being an the winner of this match

For Monaco opponent Toulouse this team was performing well at Europa league but in Ligue 1 Toulouse performing badly which make they have to hard struggling to avoiding relegation zone and Monaco has odds @1.58 but i am not sure this option could be safe bets or not because Monaco performance also still not stable especially Monaco will lost some players who got suspension including their top scorer in Ligue 1 Wissam Ben Yedder and indeed today they will playing Balogun as centre striker but i am not sure played him could be good option or not considering Balogun performance is not so impressive

Head to head, the two teams seem to be evenly matched so far, apart from that, the performance of the two teams in the last few weeks is not much different in my opinion, in the last few weeks both of them have often lost points but in terms of the opponents they have faced it is clear that Brest has a tougher opponent than Marseille , I see that Brest is able to hold PSG to a draw in the league and of course this shows that Brest game is still better than Marseille, I personally am quite sure that Brest will put out their best performance in this match considering their position which has now been defeated by Lille yesterday, a definite win Brest must get it to be able to take the top 3 position from Nice and send Lille back to 5th place, apart from having a better game than Marseille, of course the home factor is an advantage for Brest to be able to win the match in front of its fans.

Lille is now at the third position on the table with over 35 points already, which means finishing top four is a good possibility for them but they are sure they would not be able to win the title, thia season, Le Havre did tried their best but were unable to secure a goal from the game rather they got neither the goal or victory which is actually poor results but then they weren't in the same capacity as their opponent so it was very possible they would have still lost the game.

They dominated the game from the start, scoring two early goals. Get a third in the second half? It was the cherry on top. It's evident they're not simply fighting for a top-four finish; they're sending a Champions League statement. Jonathan David - he was on fire! A hat trick? That was a fantastic performance and what Lille needed to retain momentum

Looking at the big picture, Nice's drop makes the competition for the top four interesting. Lille trailing Nice by one poin. With the inconsistency of the clubs behind PSG, every encounter feels like a final. Fans must love this drama. Lille believes in remaining focused and seizing every chance

Watching the game right here all I see is a PSG team that is tired and looking so stressed, it's a 0:1 score currently with the away team winning but PSG performance has not been a good one in this game as they managed to get a goal attempt which led ro the goal. The home team has made several goal attempts which would have seen the PSG team lose in the game but thanks to the PSG goal keeper Gianluigi Donnaru for pulling out the saves I believe he's been the reason why Nantes has not recorded a goal in this game.

I'm a fan of winning a game and not just giving off good performance because if at the end of the day your performance was top notch and you did had the best play but you lost you are definitely not going to get ahead of the team that won the game neither are you going to be given an extra points for a brilliant performance.

So I most times don't really look at the teams performance even if I know it has a lot to do with determining how well the team results will.be but then a team could be performing well and not be lucky enough but another could have the poor performance but are able to manage to defend their goal which they have been able to secure at a time in the match. For  me PSG had a poor performance but we're at same time deserving of the victory they got at the end of the game.

I wasn't impressed with their first half performance despite their dominance because there was no positive result. The attackers were not threatening at all until Mbappe came in as a substitute. yep, I thought the same thing as you, even since PSG had Mbappe arrive and was able to help dominate league 1, I felt the competition was not competitive or a little boring but that only happened in the second half of the season after PSG topped the standings and at the start of the season when all the teams still competing for the safest position, that's when league 1 is very interesting.
this kind of dominance will end after the scoring machine leaves PSG, as you mentioned, Mbappe will leave PSG and at that time PSG will be a team that will find it difficult to win the title because almost all of PSG's winning scores come from Mbappe kicks.

I can't imagine what PSG future will be without Mbappe, it will definitely be very difficult to get the league 1 title and league 1 will become very interesting when star players move to other leagues.
but all I can imagine is how surprising and very ridiculous it would be if there was confirmation that Mbappe extended his contract and if that happened I would say that Mbappe is a domestic star player, not an international star player.

Such a shocking turn of events for Lyon, I mean they looked like they would lose every game at the start of the season, it didn't really look like it would be anything decent for them in the end.

However, we are talking about them beating the second team Nice, that is a huge huge change on that team. I get that it is not going to be all that confusing, we could probably see it change even more. Going from 18th to 11th is a marvellous achievement, and they did so by losing only a few times, they won all the other games and that is just a marvellous thing. I believe that Lyon could get even better, but at the end of the day we are talking about a huge deal and can't really consider the team done, they have so much more to do.

Lyon was losing points in this season a lot against weaker teams than Nice which made us think they are going to get relegated from the French League at the end of this season. Also, they were playing against a team like Nice while Nice was racing at the top of the French league with PSG for the title and  I was expecting to see Nice easily win this match and beat Lyon but they lost it with a 1-0 result.

The last match of the week in French Ligue 1 will be played between Brest and Marseille. Brest are unbeaten in their last 10 games in the league. But they drew the last 3 weeks. Two of these draws were against Paris Saint Germain and Nice. They have drawn in the last weeks. But they drew against the two best teams in the league. On the other hand, Marseille's last win in the league was 6 weeks ago against Clermont. They have a bad performance in the league in the last weeks. They are unbeaten after the Clermont game. But they haven't won at the same time. I expect a balanced game, but I think Brest will be closer to victory in this match.

It was very unfortunate, Monaco again lost points to middle-class team Toulouse, like Nice who suffered a surprising defeat to Lyon. I think Monaco will be under threat, if Brest manages to secure full points in the match against Marseille, then Monaco will be knocked out of the top four of the standings. The fight for tickets to appear in the Champions League next season is indeed more interesting, because we know that currently it is no longer possible for PSG to be overtaken by any team in Ligue 1.

On the other hand, the additional three points keep Toulouse away from the degradation zone, even though their position is not completely safe because they are only one point away from the relegation play off participants. I think if Brest rises to fourth place in the standings, then Monaco will find it difficult to overtake them in the future. Statistically, Monaco has only been able to achieve one win in their last five matches.

I predict Brest can secure full points in the closing match of Week 22, because they will act as hosts. Apart from that, Marseille is in a bad period, and has not managed to win in its last five matches.

This season Lille has performed very well. And this season Ligue 1 has three slots in the Champions League so that will be a motivation for them to maintain their ranking. I think the competition to get tickets to the Champions League is still very competitive in second to sixth place in the standings. There are 5 teams that have a very small difference in points in the standings. Nice with 39 points is in second place and Lens with 35 points is in sixth place. This makes every match of these teams very interesting to watch.

Lille was the winner just like 3 seasons ago or something, which should mean that they shouldn't have been that bad to begin with, the fact that they got so much worse was mainly their winner players being sold, but they used that money smartly and back to UCL spots again, and with Mabppe leaving this summer, I think Lille may actually have a chance or at least some other team may win it aside from PSG. This isn't of course guaranteed.

With Lille going to UCL, they could get so much money there, and with that type of income, teams could build great clubs. The profits of going to UCL every year is just beyond bonkers and fans do not realize it, doing that for like 5 years in a row, would make you build a team that can do it for another 10 years, it's just insanely profitable thing.

PSG are doing well in the French Ligue 1 race, even though it's not as balanced as it ought to. They're a team expected to perform better than they're doing now judging from the performances of previous seasons. They're just a few points ahead and it's very much not buoyant for them as the increase in the league's intensity may unintentionally lead to their drop in position which they as a team shouldn't let to happen.

 They've also been able to advance to the round of 16 of the UCL and their Spanish opponent, who's not really a tough side as them but maybe stands a chance to advancing to the next stage. They'll have to be extra prepared for the game ahead. They also have to be careful about their league race. They've got to stay in shape and capacity too. They've got to use the games during the early second half of the season to cover up their tracks and also strive to be far better than Sociedad and even advance to the quarter finals.

Paris Saint Germaine's dominance in the French league over the past seven seasons is simply because of their superior spending in the in signing high profile and quality players aged of the other French clubs and I don't even think that their dominance is stopping anytime soon because none of the other French teams is even ready to spend as huge as the French champions in signing quality players.
Kylian Mbappe is believed will be leaving Paris Saint Germaine at the end of the season and as the club's best player over the past seven seasons, I expect his departure to affect the performance of the club but I still don't think it's gonna end Paris Saint Germaine's dominance in the league because even without the France national team captain, PSG is still better than the other teams in the French Ligue 1.
