Manchester City have offered their team captain a contract extension option but the player's decision is unanimous to leave the club, i don't know what was on his mind wanting to leave the club after being part of the success of Manchester City. Leaving Manchester City to join Arsenal makes no sense in my opinion, in general Manchester City is stronger than Arsenal.

According to reports I got from one of the Spanish media, Gundogan has reached an agreement with Barcelona. Both parties have received a verbal agreement to continue contract negotiations to a further stage. One of the hardest things about having a player like Gundogan is that he played very well and he even got them some titles, and yet he is old. So what do you do, do you play him even with his further age because he has always provided, or do you send him away and get someone younger? If you keep him then there is a chance he will get worse and you will regret your decision but at the same time fans would love it if you keep him and hate you if he plays badly, it's a huge risk to keep an old player.

However, if you send him away, then you have to find someone that is better or at least good, because if you get someone worse then fans will hate you for sending away a player that provided so many cups for you and played so much for you.

Since Pep Guardiola now confirmed that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2025, I am pretty sure that not a lot of players will decide against working with him for the next two years if they have a contract with Manchester City. The only player so far is Gundogan who doesn't yet know what he is going to do since Manchester City is said to offer him a 1 year extension whereas he wants a 2 year extension. But after that performance I think they might still improve their offer and he will stay there.

I remember in interview when Pep said he is not going to keep anybody who doesn't want to stay. So İlkay Gündoğan is free to leave or stay. But then I support his decision to want to leave because in my estimation City didn't show any seriousness in keeping. If city is not going to give him enough playing time because of his age, then he should leave. And I hope to God that he doesn't go to Arsenal. He should go to Barcelona or some club abroad.

I don't really think Newcastle will make huge changes or overhaul. Newcastle is like a reborn team and I have no problem if they go for youth since their strategy seems to be working. Maybe one or two moves then they will be ready again. Who knows if they get lucky and sign a Haaland 2.0
